An absolutely terrific video. Leica should be thrilled that you made such a visually stunning and emotionally resonant "commercial" for them. And for us. Thanks!
Christ, man, this is a mini masterpiece. I've always enjoyed getting a Leica in hand, while never being able to own one. Maybe now with the L mount being a consortium we can have Leica CL/TL for street photography and fun, Panasonic for video and Sigma with that foveon for landscape and detail work. All using the same lenses and, hopefully, flashes. Just need to sell my apartment and live in a cupboard under my friend's stairs to pay for it all.

Yeah, first time trying it. We'll see how it goes. But hey, I see I set it a day too far in advance. Let me see if I can change it to TODAY, as I'd originally planned...
I was so ready to buy the Q then I saw this video!!! I just wish the CL was full frame so my glass made sense.... all my m-lenses end up not being what I shoot! I like 35mm more than 50mm, but the CL turns my 35mm into a 50mm!!!! There’s just no right answer with Leica right now
Bought a CL a month ago with the TL 18-56 and 35mm lenses. Absolutely love it. Have never owned a camera that I think about whilst I'm sitting at work, haha.
I've watched a number of your videos in recent months and find your style engaging and interesting - even if I'm really REALLY not interested in videography. Or umpteen gear tests focusing on video capabilities. That short film of your street photos in NYC is just a delight. Thank you!
Good stuff. I really enjoy your videos and thoughtful analysis. This likely sold me on the CL for all of the reasons you articulated, even going back to using earlier Leica film cameras. They do "encourage" a certain process and that process combined with a seamless tool and wonderful glass more often than not yield what one envisioned. My old M3 double stroke with that 50 Summicron dual range are a wonderful pair with a roll of tri-x, but as you mentioned the eyes are what they once were so I find myself more often with my lovely Oly Em1.2 and panasonic's Leica branded glass as a nice pair. For some applications the Oly is just "too fast" and I think the CL will fill that niche. Thanks for the great work you do.
Mike Garcia TLs: 18, 23, 35, 60, 11-23, 16-55,!55-135. SLs: 75 Ms: 35/1.4, 28/2.8. The 35/1.4 TL my favorite; 28/2.8m second, 55-135 my third . But stay tuned: much more coming!
Hi Hugh. After trialing so many cameras I’d have to say… an APSC Leica SL would absolutely be my dream camera. A Fuji XT3 sized Leica SL with whatever sensor they put in the CL2. Perfection.
Man, these beautiful Leicas are are so beautiful and do create beautiful results. I really enjoy these videos which show how much fun and joy you are having. Alas, this enthusiast is gonna be content with the xe3 which has reinvigorated the joy in taking photos for me.
@@3BMEP agreed. I am amazed by what today's cameras offer. More options than what I know what to do with! But I can still stare at the occasional Porsche even if I am happy with my Honda. Thanks.
The CL is the 21st century M - fantastic partner to the SL really, shared mounts and M mount compatibility as well. A no brainer choice for any Leica nut who may be ' over' the M and its rangefinder and manual focus only lenses and its silly bottom plate and all the 'nostalgia' trip that goes with it. Something had to be done about that pesky interloper Fuji! -:) Congrats Hugh on your collaboration with Leica - they need a decent youtube spokesperson, and you have nicely introduced (via a bunch of nice snaps) your happy enthusiasm promoting what Leica should be all about - memorable and high quality people photography.
I think you hit the nail on the head about the CL being the closest they've got to a 21st century M. It's why I'm getting it -- and because I don't think the IQ difference between the FF M/SL 24mp sensor and APS-C 24mp sensor in the CL and TL2 is meaningful to the work I do. Thanks for your support and for weighing in.
Each time i go out, here in NYC,I can see something new to shoot..contrary to beliefs, the people love to be captured, and have so much personality..If you say you cannot find anything to shoot here, you never went outside..
Hi Hugh, don't give up on your TL2 with the Visoflex. I realized recently that these fine but older lens designs such as the Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f:2 are actually out-resolved by the modern EVFs; you end up trying to find the least blurred image instead of a crisp, sharp outline. Hence the manual focusing frustrations you described. Of course that didn't stop me from fitting my Ultron 28mm to my CL as soon as your wonderful video finished and taking said combo on a walk round the block.
Your best video I have watched. Your are the master of street photography. It is joy to watch this episode even though I know that Leica is always too expensive to me. :-(. Happy new year.
I've never used the CL, TL or original T, but the SL is about ready to go with me to Paris (along with the Q, M10, M7 and R8). TL mount cameras (TL, CL and SL) 60+ years of lenses!! THAT is the best!!
Love your candor of your tickled pink sentimental bias comments of Leica. Totally can relate when I was introduced to the photography world. Maybe could better relate if it was with a Leica. 😁
If only the CL had a tilting screen. ;-) What a lovely camera - it does need more pro-oriented zooms though. Tell them! BTW I believe that photographs should be in the landscape aspect. Either that or the square. But, that aside, 2:3 is too tall a ratio for the portrait aspect. 3:4 is much better.
Hugh: please share how the Manual M lenses worked on the CL. I rented the CL last week with the 23mm AF but I did not have access to an M lens and adapter. Going to buy soon; will appreciate any feedback. Thanks for all the videos.
Joe McEarchern They were what made it most special, with the ability to fall back on that outstanding autofocusing TL 35/1.4. I really liked the little M 28/2.8, but my first piece of advice is to suck it up and get the factory original adapter because it transmits EXIF data.
Hmmm well it does sort of but, you are not going to get aperture and really that is the most important bit of EXIF you need and only Leica lenses will give you focal length. The Leica adapter for my TL2 is massively expensive so I couldnt recommend it. I bought my adapter from China for about £25 and it works perfectly and is a perfect fit for my Voightlander 28mm f2 Ultron, my vintage Leica 50mm Summicrons (no EXIF data to be had there) and with a Nikon to Leica M adapter my Nikkor 24mm f2.8D, 35mm f2D and 50mm f1.8D. I would love focal length and aperture in the data but none of these would provide it through the Leica adapter. I will say I get better images from the Nikkors than I ever did from a Nikon body ;-)
Agreed, Vicki: not having the aperture in the EXIF data is a bummer - I should have mentioned it, but I will in our next video on it. I no longer have the Voigtlanders, but with the CL you can set the focal length of the lens unlike on the TL2.
Serious question here, but with only my experience of Fuji X cameras, why would someone choose the CL over, say, the X-E3 when the equivalent prime lenses are all phenomenal (the xf35mm f1.4 is very highly loved, for example) and the zoom (xf18-55 f2.8-4 vs the TL 18-56) is faster than the Leica?
Well, first: I LOVED the X-T2; I now understand the love for the X-Pro2; I just named the X-T3 camera of the year; I love their 16/1.4 and 56/1.2; and have tremendous respect for their red badge zooms. I also love Fuji's approach to auto mode, because with most of their lenses I don't even need to have the camera turned on to set the exposure triangle - hallelujah! Second: with this written, I don't love either company's 18-56. Good focal range (the near equivalent of the holy trinity full frame 24-70, but they're not as wide nor as shallow as I'd like - and both are important to me. Third: I MUCH prefer the CL's EVF and feel in hand; and while lens IQ across the board with Leica meets or exceeds that of the Fujis, the TL 55-135 knocked my socks off because of the IQ, range and small size. Would I prefer a dedicated ISO button (or at least programmable to that, as it is on the TL2)? Yes. Do I wish Leica would make an M with EVF only, or update their VisoFlex Typ 020 to the spec of the SL's 4.4m dot Eye-Res EVF? Yes. Can you get AMAZING results with either camera? Yes. It really boils down to budget on the one hand - and inspiration and what makes you happy on the other. Truly.
@@3BMEP thanks so much for the response. I think you make fair points in favour of either or; all the cameras you mentioned are wonderful in their own way. I see what you mean when you say preferring the CL for feel in the hand; I held it in the Leica Porto store in Portugal. Maybe I don't have the kind of budget yet to support a CL, or maybe I'm trying to rationalize myself to it, or recognizing the CL has a much smaller lens lineup (not considering M-mount glass, because then we could include those with the Fuji as well), but I suppose that was where the question was coming from. Seriously though, thank you for the kind and generous response.
Sovanna Men Different cameras with different aims. You want maximum megapixels, maximum high ISO performance, better AF, and minimum size but are willing to give up interchangeable lenses? RX1R II. You want a more pleasurable shooting experience (am admittedly personal choice) and interchangeable lenses with better color (also a personal choice) - and you can feel 100 years of heritage flowing through your fingertips, CL. 😊
Wow, you described my newest toy ;), second-hand tl2 + evf + Voigtlander 35mm 1.7 + Leica 18mm 2.8 (btw. what a lens...), I love this combo for the streets (after firmware update). I shoot with it far more than with my M right now.
Tantalising....but I guess there is more coming. How long do you have it for? If I had one, it would probably be paired up to the Summicron and Elmarit, so the manual focus issue is significant as I, too, can’t see a damned thing these days.
Three Blind Men and An Elephant Productions In your experience, do they accidentally get turned? Do you think you will miss the built in memory of the TL2?
Fauxtaku Lounge It is an inexorable merging of connectivity, computational imaging (we’ve seen nothing yet - just wait) and old school physics. Fascinating!
The sad part is that half of the cameras I currently use: X-H1, and GFX, and the X-T1 and X-Pro 1 before them, are next to useless with smartphones, despite the years. When I first picked up an X-Pro 1 I thought I would stay a loyal Fuji user. Superficially, they have things together: classic control schema and good JPEG engines. Of course, their film simulations are great. But looking deeper, they miss on every single angle Leica nail: uniform interface, simplicity, and now, quality of connective applications. So, I have an SL and two M10s. I just sold my M240 a year ago to fund one of the M10s. Fujifilm's poor design drove me to better design. But Leica's problem is that cost of ownership is sometimes too high to rationalise, and when it's not, the problems of service speed and centrality of service locations (really lack thereof) push them away from the fore. It's a shame that such Achilles Heals infest those whose failed but ostensible goals are tradition (Fujifilm) and those whose goals are integration and uniformity of design (Leica). Whatever the case, Leica's ability to weave nearly bleeding-edge connectivety into their cameras, some of which themselves are bleeding edge or close (SL, S3) and those that look and largely handle like something from the 50s (M10/P) is incredible. Thank you for the report. @@3BMEP
You know sometimes with products / companies they just make kit / tools that are right for you, but me not be right for other. I is so nice to see someone loving shooting with a brand other than the big three, but also enjoying them to. I love the fat that a company has give you the opportunity to shoot with there kit and that you intend to buy. Yes Leica are not cheep but if you love there kit you will go out and use it. I went down the X1D road have three lenses and saving for my next lens but I just love the kit it just so nice to use. I have Nikon to which is good to, But they are tool that just work for me. So please keep enjoying your Leica experience. Have an amazing 2019 love you videos.
I think you’ve made mind up for me, I may sell my Q 1, and get the CL just so I have more lens options, PS , your voice is so calming too , love listening and watching your vids 👏
John Starkey Happy to be of service. 😊 In my book, the 35/1.4 and 23/2 are a wonderful starting point - but since you’re coming from the Q, you may want the 18 as well!
No no no. I'm not falling for it you smooth talking bas****. You got me with the XT3. Although....I've been strategic! I've got the Panasonic Leica 15mm lens and the GX9 body (Inc the Panasonic 12-60mm). Less than 1/3rd of the cost of the CL. Not that I needed anymore gear, the Christmas sales cashback promotion on the GX9 was too good to pass up.
When I was looking into the CL, I bought a Canon M100 (APSC body) and the 3x kit lens, for $500 USD. At EIGHT times less than the CL, end of story. 2 times, OK. 3 times, possibly. 8 times - yikes!!
JuanReasonToSmile after a few people didn’t like my creative choice last time, I went to a three light set up using all new lights I’ve been reviewing - plus I bounced my right side light into a white wall. Good eyes!
@@3BMEP let people say whatever they want. For me, apart from photography, the great art you provide me with is your words. Your love for photography is inspiring as newcomer to this art. I love how you mix conceptual parts of photography with gear reviews. You show a true understanding of what's the spirit behind every piece of gear. To be honest the only other person I've see doing it is Mattias Burling and Sean Tucker -I know you must know Sean, but have you ever checked Mattias' channel? I love that guy. First thought upon the TH-cam notification: “Great, a new video from Hugh and Claudia! Wait…, well, it will be good as always, but we still have to wait for the true gems to start rolling out of their shop again.” I’m talking about The Good World Gone Bad series, the interviews, the insightful (to the bone marrow) and educating (till your brain cells call the quits) stuff, you know… Second thought, 5min & 37sec later: “How, I mean HOW, does this man and his companion in life get to turn a short, biased, video for an overpriced niche product into something that so many people can relate to???” Every photographer and artist in general, every craftsman, every artisan producer, every engineer for life (from the “you better leave the choking hazard lego bricks in my cradle mom, or I’ll poop and scream the living hell out of your dipper stock and your sleep deprived nights” infant to the handyman ex-mechanic guest next door in your retirement home, even every frigging teenager working in his barely road legal nuts n’ bolts project in his dad’s garage, draws from the most tangible and precise, a tool, a satisfaction found only in the most intangible and vague, in passion. Yet, you manage to put it in words and images... Seriously, calling what I just saw the best Leica commercial ever would be 2019's (Happy New Year by the way) understatement of the year!.
What a wonderful, generous, kind and ROLF/LMAO (how old am I?) comment - THANK you, man. We love what we do, pure and simple. And tend to wear that on our sleeves. And: Claudia's intuitive filmmaking (she's only been at it, part time, for a year or two) takes my breath away. You just made my day.
Hugh, can I ask why on earth why someone would pay $5,600 for a Leica CL with the 18mm f2.8 and 35mm f1.4, when for $2,850 you could get a Fujifilm X-Pro2 with an 18mm f2 and a 35mm f1.4. That is just under $3,000 less for a superior system. My opinion of course, and I have used both. It just seems like a complete waste of good money.
Chloe, I understand your perspective, but don't you think there are people out there who think differently, have different incomes and different priorities than you or I? Don't you think it's not more complicated than that? Many, many years ago (when I was still a student), we had a case study on coffee. Way back THEN, a cup of coffee at Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy cost $10. I don't recall how much it cost to brew a cup at home, but as of 2017 it appears to be about a nickel for 8 ounces. The point then, as it has always been, is that the difference was less about the coffee itself (call this, perhaps, the technical specifications) than the experience. I love the Fuji system - see my reviews -- but I paid my own hard cash for the TL2 and accoutrement. That's just me - but as I also often say, your mileage may vary and that's fine! For you, the differences don't warrant the incremental cost - in fact, looks like you may find them inversely correlated. I get it. What do you shoot, and what do you shoot with?
I just can't stand these 'soupy' Fuji colours. That's just one of the main reasons I chose the Leica CL over the Fuji and after more than one year of using the Leica for travel and street photography I like it more than ever. The image quality speaks for itself.
Three Blind Men and An Elephant Productions I’m not a good photographer but check my album in Flickr shot with my M240 flickr.com/photos/129516046@N04/sets/72157692946575191
Good shit @ Sean Tucker. The two of you interacting, seams like a great meld. #notatypo For some reason, I thought you had both the TL2 and CL. I’ve been reluctant to try the CL, but being able to use the EVF with a flash on the hotshoe is compelling.
Three Blind Men and An Elephant Productions interesting, and indeed. Between the moments of gear lust, exists the endless education; I don’t think I’ll ever be “good enough”. - Googled him, like his work, but wasn’t able to find any info on classes. Been thinking about checking out B&H and Adorama’s classes, or “talks”.
Well, I have to be careful watching your videos... I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a used CL with the 18mm kit lens. Of course I was immediately temped to shoot with it before even reading the quick guide.. Anyway, I went out and shot at everything I saw. The 18mm lens is quite good and produces beautiful images. I did have some trouble (and still do) trying to use the camera without reading te instructions.. I do hate to try to read the huge downloaded manual. It's just no fun. Pretty soon I looked online and ordered a cheap Fotasy M to L adapter so I could shoot in manual focus mode with my M mount lenses. Right away I, like you had problems manual focusing. I just could not get sharp images. I thought that perhaps the small and light envelope of the camera was not as easy to hold steady like the M240 body. I kept trying with various lenses and finally got some passable results with the 35mm Zeiss Biogon. Tried again walking through the GA Tech campus and shooting some with my 50mm collapsible Summicron. This resulted in many poor, blurred images. At home I tried my 50mm Summilux, 40mm f1.2 CV, and other lenses shooting with a tripod, got garbage. I began to thing there was something wrong with my lenses or the camera. Finally I did comparisons of the same lenses, same subject between the adapted CL and the M240. Results showed that the adapter was a piece of crap. I just went to eBay and pulled the trigger on a used Leica M to L adapter... Got it for less than half of the new price (still had to swallow hard to bid) I should receive it in a week or so. I certainly hope that solves my focus issues and blurred images. I certainly want to shoot with my wonderful Leica, Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses. I don't have the means to spend big bucks on Leica L primes. I'll see how things turn out. Wish me luck
Good luck! I found that I CAN focus manually on the CL (the TL2 with Typ 020 EVF was the problem for me) but you may come to terms with the fact (as I did) that these TL primes are spectacular and better than most M glass irrespective of manufacturer!
Thanks so much for this-not only the great photos and the video overall, but also for sharing your thoughts. I’m around your age and suffering the same frustration regarding glasses, viewfinders, and focusing. I have fond memories of easily snapping subjects into focus, both on my old SLRs and on my Leica M bodies. I can see why you shot the heck out of that setup. But, more to the point, I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts on recording the world around you, on trying to create something or some things meaningful, and on making the most of our time “in this” along with everyone else. Wonderful video!
Ben, so glad you enjoyed it - thank you for the kind words. Geez, I know I've reached a certain age now that I'm having conversations about eye sight. Well, it could be worse... ;)
That’s for sure! Regarding eyesight: That’s one reason I’ve been interested in your videos on the Fuji system as well as the Leica gear. I recently bought the GFX 50S (over the R, partly because of that beautiful viewfinder on the S) and am enjoying learning how to use it effectively. It would be great if camera reviewers who wear glasses would comment more often on the experience of using the viewfinders (how hard or easy it is to see the whole field of view and to see the projected settings). Happy shooting and best wishes for the new year.
Awwww sad to hear of your change to the CL; it isnt a camera I like I must admit. The camera has several deal breakers that ruled it out for me. For a start TLcameras are not my first choice, My favourite Leica is my X113 with Visoflex. This is the camera that changed my photography after a lifetime. I would take the fixed 23mm f1.7 Summilux with macro and leaf shutter over any TL lens any day; the images are just stunning and yes I do use the macrosetting. X113 is an APS mini Q with a tilting EVF and I love it. So why have I bought a TL2 ? Again the titling Visoflex which is now non-negotiable (first deal breaker. My other camera the GX9 also has tilting viewfinder). It is true to say I never use a straight viewfinder now, the change of view has changed my imagery for good which reduces the CL to backscreen only and that doesnt tilt either. The second deal breaker is just as serious; on trips I have come to rely on USB 3 charging and data transfer; this is the reason I dont take the X113 as, like the CL, you must take a separate charger. On trips I just take a 6 port USB charging block for all my devices. Finaly, I just dont like the erganomics of the CL.The X113 is pretty much old school with dedicated dials and lens barrel conrols and is as good as it comes from Leica having the same menu system as the Q and M. The TL2 strips that backand just uses touch screen which I am equally fine with. The CL seems a mess to me. However, the beauty of the Leica system is all tastes are covered and clearly you like the CL design; I however like ultramodern and the TL2 does it for me and it is set up pretty much like my GX9. This post is interesting because I havent metioned once the things that most reviewers find most important; I take image quality and build quality as a given with Leica. All these cameras are better than adequate so I really dont care what camera has what feature or what quality, I just have to be happy with it. Anyway, enjoy your camera and have fun as that is all that matters ;-)
Another great video, Hugh! And my compliments to Claudia for the outstanding videography, as well. Personally, the CL is just not gonna be my cuppa. I read the DPR review of it when it launched in (Nov?) 2017, and like the TL, its just a bit too quirky for me. And, to be honest, I can't see dropping 4 large on that camera and a pancake lens, that's ~90% of the cost of a GFX50R, right there. Personally, I would have so much more fun with a OC/OL setup....my X100F for street photography. Which, come to think of it, you really should review some time. Lastly, and most importantly, though, _regardless_ of the camera you use, I *love* your street photography! Its just wonderful.

Congrats Hugh on your collaboration with Leica - they need a decent youtube spokesperson, and you have nicely introduced (via a bunch of nice snaps) your happy enthusiasm promoting what Leica should be all about - memorable and high quality people photography.
Just wondering if you're gonna do a more detailed review of the CL, too. Thanks much!
Coming soon!
Niiice! I should add: I’m fascinated by that assertion. I definitely found it easier to focus through the CL.
I have several m leicas. Which lens do you think is best fo street and the cl? Thanks for your suggestion
Your best video I have watched. Your are the master of street photography. It is joy to watch this episode even though I know that Leica is always too expensive to me. :-(. Happy new year.
Wenyu Lian It is a joy to have such a kind and generous community here on YT! 🙏🏻❤️
MASTER of street photography?? you must have been born yesterday.
Sweet can’t wait to hear more about it. I would Love the CL but I am a poor feature hog.
peterzpictstube I understand. 😊
Lovely photos! Really enjoyed this vid. Greetings for this New Year, have a great one.
And to you, Mark!
I've never used the CL, TL or original T, but the SL is about ready to go with me to Paris (along with the Q, M10, M7 and R8). TL mount cameras (TL, CL and SL) 60+ years of lenses!! THAT is the best!!
Oh MAN! Loved the SL, but the CL better suits my style and budget. :)
Love my CL!!
PS, as always, love the show!
Would you like to tell me to help my choice between Leica CL and Sony RX1RII, what you prefer, quality, manipulation, menu...
@@3BMEP Thank. Undecided because lenses are expensive. Thank again.
Sovanna Men I understand. But - I bought my TL2 anticipating Sigma L and maybe Panasonic L lenses. Let’s see what this year brings!
@@3BMEP Thank

Barry Maskell Thank you, Barry.
Which TL glass did you shoot with and which was you favorite? Great images BTW !
Steven Kornreich answered below, but stay tuned - 2nd video coming before the end of the month! Shot with ALL OF IT!!!!
Thank you, Hugh, for your reviews of the CL, which convinced me--finally--to make the leap from hybrid Leicas (Digilux 1, V-Lux 1) to a real Leica.
Carl Baum Enjoy enjoy! 😊
Wow, you described my newest toy ;), second-hand tl2 + evf + Voigtlander 35mm 1.7 + Leica 18mm 2.8 (btw. what a lens...), I love this combo for the streets (after firmware update). I shoot with it far more than with my M right now.
Rafał I great combo is right! Enjoy!
C C no, I didn’t - and that’s the great thing - they share the “Leica look.”
what camera backpack are you carrying this awesome camera in the video?
LowePro ProTactic 250. I like it better than my 20L Peak Design. New favorite!
Tantalising....but I guess there is more coming. How long do you have it for? If I had one, it would probably be paired up to the Summicron and Elmarit, so the manual focus issue is significant as I, too, can’t see a damned thing these days.
Simon Tasker Till the end of the month. Stay tuned!
Do you use the dials or do you disable them as well like many others who complain that they get knocked out of place easily?
Wai-Shan Lam definitely use the dials!
Three Blind Men and An Elephant Productions In your experience, do they accidentally get turned? Do you think you will miss the built in memory of the TL2?
Wai-Shan Lam didn’t have that problem, but yes - built in memory in the TL2 is a really nice to have.
@@3BMEP Thank you Hugh!
It's amazing how necessary smartphone integration is, or is becoming. It's a thing I really wish my Fujifilm cameras had.
@@3BMEP
Fauxtaku Lounge I love our community! Thanks for such a thoughtful and well-informed contribution to the discussion!

You got me with the XT3.
Although....I've been strategic!
I've got the Panasonic Leica 15mm lens and the GX9 body (Inc the Panasonic 12-60mm).

First thought upon the TH-cam notification:
“Great, a new video from Hugh and Claudia! Wait…, well, it will be good as always, but we still have to wait for the true gems to start rolling out of their shop again.”
I’m talking about The Good World Gone Bad series, the interviews, the insightful (to the bone marrow) and educating (till your brain cells call the quits) stuff, you know…
Second thought, 5min & 37sec later:
“How, I mean HOW, does this man and his companion in life get to turn a short, biased, video for an overpriced niche product into something that so many people can relate to???” Every photographer and artist in general, every craftsman, every artisan producer, every engineer for life (from the “you better leave the choking hazard lego bricks in my cradle mom, or I’ll poop and scream the living hell out of your dipper stock and your sleep deprived nights” infant to the handyman ex-mechanic guest next door in your retirement home, even every frigging teenager working in his barely road legal nuts n’ bolts project in his dad’s garage, draws from the most tangible and precise, a tool, a satisfaction found only in the most intangible and vague, in passion.

To many Corvette owners buying a Ferrari seems like a complete waste of good money as well, the Corvette is clearly the superior car.
I smiled while looking at my M240 + 50mm Summicron.
A friend of mine swears by the 240 - and his images are absolutely lovely.

Good shit @ Sean Tucker. The two of you interacting, seams like a great meld. #notatypo
For some reason, I thought you had both the TL2 and CL. I’ve been reluctant to try the CL, but being able to use the EVF with a flash on the hotshoe is compelling.
I got my hands on both last year for a review, but had to give them back. So much equipment I have to give back... Re Sean: HOLD THAT THOUGHT!!!!
That too - thought about trying the Mark Cohen school of street photography. Not quite there yet. :)
Prasand J. Hold. That. Thought.

4:59 also excellent! Same lens at 4:54?
Yep!
Good luck! I found that I CAN focus manually on the CL (the TL2 with Typ 020 EVF was the problem for me) but you may come to terms with the fact (as I did) that these TL primes are spectacular and better than most M glass irrespective of manufacturer!
wow ur skin color is so much natural here, not red-ish. Good video !

Soul Trek Ventures Thanks - glad you do!
Just so Vici - good thing Leica makes both! I WOULD like a new VisoFlex with OldEyes-Res technology, though.
Great !!!!
