The Wood Cats are getting big! That grey guy looks like your new best friend. The Ultra cycle time is insane. I'm always envious watching you or JPF blast out a pile of rounds. Nice job!
Chris, Bert..... your gonna need alot more wood!!! That's just the splitter, wait til the processor starts eating!!! Outstanding work for just a few hours!
Quite the operation. I see those Eastonmade splitters and think it would be nice to have one but hard to justify when I only burn a couple cords of wood a year. You and Bert have it down to a science. Very efficient.
Very impressive operation congratulations Chris nice to see production in the new yard that elevator is awesome hope to get one or build one myself soon
You and your new best buddies have really got a great collaboration going on ! You Both have a little different equipment and processes to handle forestry products and may show each other some more efficient ways to work ? That conveyor really is the Cat’s Meow for loading your product into the dump trailer’s indeed !
Nice progress today! I bet that conveyor would help on the repetitious flinging of splits! Especially with your volume. Wood cats are hilarious 👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Enjoyed that Chris. Thank you sir. I have been stockpiling wood for my fire pit. Sawing and splitting myself. Got way more than I need but it is addictive.
Hi Chris the elevator is a game changer. I guess that’s why so many other channel’s are getting them. Then you add a couple more guys to production. Wow you are making firewood fast. You’ll have the new Woodyard stocked in no time.
Your helper amazes me every time I see him operate the skid loader. [It is like an extension of his arm. I have a Timberwolf with a 4 way head. that really speeds up splitting. It really helps to have help and your splitter cycles a lot faster than mine.
That 4way splitting wedge really works good. For that size wood. Tim Rydman. I used to have big barn like that one. I put my wood in it. See if you could put the trailers in the few a few days.
I know these videos are a few weeks behind but wow, the landscape in central WI sure looks a lot different than it does up here in northern WI. I'm dealing with over 3 feet of snow in the woods. The deer are dragging their bellies in the snow if they get off their paths. I haven't seen bare ground in months and may not see it again until the end of April.. LOL. I'm 45 minutes south of Lake Superior/Ashland in the snow belt. Love the cats!
Now all you need is an automatic firewood stacker, a way for customers to come pick it up and automated payment. Then later you will think of other ways to automate and work a bit easier. Good work man.😅😊
Lesson learned...It took 3 attempts to watch video this morning because of calls for wood. I will put the phone on airplane mode until I have made sure Chris and Bert have their chores done first, in the future!👍
Nice seeing the ultra back in action, now comes the fun part, stacking, great splitting sesion, it sure goes a lot quicker with help and the convayer and like you said it saves extra work of throwing,i had a question do they do the actual farming on the land or lease it out
Good morning chris , just a thought . I wonder if you talked to Eric he’d give you some mill felt to put down . with the extra room at the farm im sure you could stack Kenny sized rows of the mixed hardwood then keep doing the 3 facecord sections like you’ve been doing as usual for the rest of the wood types.
Hello Chris, good kitty, prewarming that splitter handle for you, YOU have some real help, that Man did not give you a single chance to rest!!. That is what is needed to make production quota's.
I’ll bet it felt good to have your ultra working again after that long lull. I’m guessing a lot of cleanup is in order before you start the processor. One needs room to operate in. Keep on cutting
That Ultra is just hard to beat...unless you have an Axis, which I hope is headed my way soon. I feel like I've aged 2 years since I ordered it last August!!!
Lord have mercy, that was production guys! That machine backed into the pile is key... Ammunition on both sides. The conveyor was your 3rd set of hands and next up gotta figure out how to stack it !!
In Fayetteville they can’t sell wood that is stored on the ground so some sellers put a big square pattern of pallets on the ground and put 4’ high wire dog type fence in a circle on top of the pallets and take there conveyor to load inside the fence to retain the pile
that is the first time the eastonmade ultra has impressed me. i wonder if the 5-11 galvanized decking would fit right into place and guide the wood into the elevator better. boy i like that elevator
just a suggestion - but could you run your tractor into the pile (without scraping any dirt) and load the bucket, then place it about 12 inches above the table - use a pickeroon as needed. Well, it might work, but it is your show.
When I saw that elevator, I knew instantly that you had lucked out big time!!! It could do the job for several hundred years if you slowed down the chain about half, maybe only 3 or 7 ft. between fw pieces as they go up. - Earl Scruggs and his brother pickers deserve a "shout out", for the years of dedicated banjo pickin', without any chewin' gum or creek water for reward, that increased your production about 10 times! Hyper speed, don'tcha know. - Bert doesn't look like a gum chewin' chucker. You might have to come up with another way to show appreciation! When in doubt, consult with the WI Brotherhood of Firewood Chuckers, they'll give you some good ideas!! (Full piece green apple licorice.) I've always wondered why you never hear about union chuckers going on strike, so I asked one of the local Amish chuckers why that is. He told me, "It's the best job I ever had!!" GNI.
I feel like the Ultra could push the split pieces onto the conveyor using the next round as it gets split, then you wouldn't have to handle each piece as it is split. Maybe it falls by the wayside so you do it by hand. Perhaps the cats can help out and pull each piece onto the conveyor. Great setup with the conveyor though.
nice elevator it makes the job a lot more efficient.i didnt have a elevator so i put my tread mill at the splitter .on high it throughs it about 10 feet

This was wonderful. Bert aka MacGyver, is a Godsend. The assets are endless. Nice to see Gavin and "The Wood Cats." Great video, Chris.
You'll like the MacGyver fix coming up soon. Fixed as good as new if not better.
Yup, Bert is very good at the MacGyver STUFF!
The conveyor is a Great addition to the Ultra!! Bert and the guys are workaholics just like you!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Yes and yes ...thanks!
You and Burt seem like a great team. Really compliment each other. Gear video again. Thank you.
Thanks Eric!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful video, teamwork makes the dreamwork! Some cats take longer to feel secure around people. You've gained a woodcat friend!!

Great job utilizing the farm space and combined equipment they have available. Looks like you’re having ultra heaps of Woodyard fun.

Yes they are!
Quite the operation. I see those Eastonmade splitters and think it would be nice to have one but hard to justify when I only burn a couple cords of wood a year. You and Bert have it down to a science. Very efficient.
It's only money,
Enjoy the new splitter and put it in your will
With that splitter you could split more and sell it to pay off the splitter.
They do work well!
yup!
You were really putting the ultra to the test.
And it did not disappoint.
It works good!
Good to see some splitting videos come down the pipe. Can't wait for more firewood processor videos. That will fill those dump trailers real fast.
Yup, it sure is!
Very impressive operation congratulations Chris nice to see production in the new yard that elevator is awesome hope to get one or build one myself soon

Well done Chris, so entertaining watching the wood get split , my family thinks I’m mad watching lol. Daily fix for me.

Sounds great! Thanks for watching!
Nice system and the extra help is fantastic!
Yup, extra hands are always nice!!
Good video Chris. The elevator seems to really speed things up. The ultra definitely needs two people to feed it.
Yup, 3 would be better!
Very efficient with The Ultra Splitter! Nice job guys 💪🏻
Thanks!!
2 heaping trailers of split wood and another certified wood splitter. Way to go guys. 👊
Thanks Ken!
The below freezing weather you were wanting , looks like it will be back this coming week
Yup, it is here!
Awesome! You make hard work look fun. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks! Will do!
Good to see some real woodyard work again.
Yes it is!!!
Great vid mate and stacking your rows again will be satisfying.your getting back to your stock piling again ready for following season.must feel good.
Yup, I am way behind production!
WOW the conveyor makes the wood coming off the Ultra so much e-zer to handle, it is fast. God Bless
Yes, it works great!
Four hands make quick work! Fun video to watch. Thanks
Yup, 6 or 8 wold be better!
I have to admit, I enjoy seeing the wood cats!

Hi Chris the elevator is a game changer. I guess that’s why so many other channel’s are getting them. Then you add a couple more guys to production. Wow you are making firewood fast. You’ll have the new Woodyard stocked in no time.

Check farm equipment auctions. I see them regularly.
Sweet setup with the elevator.
Yes it sure is!
Bert makes a great log lift!
Yup, he does that.
Team work makes the dream work great job guys
Thanks Robert!
Morning Chris. Double your pleasure, double your fun, better splitting with two guys than one. Have a great day👍
You got that right!

Man. That’s some serious production in that amount of time.
It makes it worth it when you can get 400$ worth of product in a hour
That is for sure, hey Eric, my saw is ready to get sent, but I just got back from Montana, it will go out next week.
Good job Chris and Bert . 😊
Thanks
Thanks Leonard!
That 4way splitting wedge really works good. For that size wood. Tim Rydman. I used to have big barn like that one. I put my wood in it. See if you could put the trailers in the few a few days.
The barns are full of Berts stuff and firewood.
Great Job Guy's on splitting firewood and putting-it in the trailers.. Wood Cat's supervision the job..
Thanks Billy!
It’s good to see the new operation up and running. You might need to invest in a good pair of Muck Boots.
I have a bunch of boots!
Great job as always. I surrrrrrre like that banjo. Followers sure likes them cats 😊

🤘excellent production!

Glidden, Butternut or Park Falls or you could say almost Kenny's neighbor.
It does look different now. Yup, my brother lives up there and he said there is a big steaming pant load of snow up there!
Now all you need is an automatic firewood stacker, a way for customers to come pick it up and automated payment. Then later you will think of other ways to automate and work a bit easier. Good work man.😅😊
If I automate everything like everyone wants me to I would double my weight. That is a big reason why I like a little exercise every day.
Great video, thanks much. At one point I heard you speak of the pros and cons of stacking firewood in high piles, did you do a video of this?
Bill
Yup, a bunch of them over the past.
@@InTheWoodyard any particular title to a video? Thanks.
Great work. Nice job guys. Keep up the good work. I keep my snow. Mud all year would be horrible lol.

We have a lot to do yet!

Share more about that elevator some time. Elec, gas, cat treadmill? Converted or wood specific? Fun to watch the process evolve.
Electric, 1 hp bottom drive Loyal brand.
Thanks. I’ll watch for future use and details. Move some cat chow with it.
