Right on! For the big sky country anyway. In the WV hills 30-40 yards & the biggest shotgun that doesn't blow your hearing away does the trick. Predators, all types, appear out of thin air.

We are mostly in Oregon and Nevada
All I do is call coyotes and if allowed to 100% of the time a coyote will end up down wind that’s why I call with the wind blowing down wind to my “kill zone” he may smell me but I could still get a shot compared to the ones that back door you and you never see them because they smell you

any hunters make a hunting gear harness recomendation? Not talking deer stand harness.. talking a common/comfertable harness for all the other thigns to lug around without getting in the way.
We are working with some manufactures to get a predator setup made. Hopefully by the end of 2018.

I live out on a lake thats pretty secluded, recently there has been a coyote terrorizing our area, its already eaten 2 of my neighbors small dogs, I've seen him twice and he is massive. I've been hunting him for the last couple days using electronic calls, but have gotten no response. I've tried baiting him in the 2 areas that I've seen him but still no luck. my question is, is there an optimum time of day to hunt coyote? I've been going out early morning and dusk with no luck, though I have heard him sound off in the middle of the day. The bait Ive placed out always gets eaten though I can't be sure if it is him that's eating it or something else. Am I hunting in the wrong times of the day?
I'm no expert but it seems your hunting at the right time. But there are some exceptions I think that if your hearing him during the day try a day stand.
Night vision scope to determine what is eating the bait, if its him, and legal in your state to hunt them at night, pop him
