Great Video. Don't forget to add to have a back up mouth call for when the batteries die out on you in the middle of a sequence. Our calls are a fantastic choice for beginners or pros.

I saw a coyote while turkey hunting the other day. Had #6 shot so I didn't know if that'd be powerful enough to down it. Had my 9mm for backup but when it realized I was there it started backing away slowly. I snapped a couple pics of it then it turned around and went the other way. Figured I might as well add that to the list of creatures I'll hunt so time to learn about them.

I know this is an old video, but I just found you and I subscribed. I'm in the southern tip of south central Indiana. I used to hunt them back in the 80's and 90's.. I'm 62 and retiring and hope to get after them again.. Great shooting. I used to use a Ruger Number 1 in 22.250, but then I had a farmer one day when I was using a Remington 700 varmint in .223 killing his groundhogs tell me he liked that rifle because it didn't make a lot of noise around his animals so I started using it almost exclusively.
    Great shooting and good video..
    Thanks so much..
Regards from South Central Indiana. USA

I switched over to air guns. A .30cal PCP air gun will put out roughly the same energy as a 22lr, but I can put a suppressor on it without the BATF paperwork. With a suppressor on it, all you hear is the spring and the valve opening. There's no report at all and the noise isn't something most people would recognize.

You'd be surprised at what you're capable of if you want something bad enough. Test yourself, find your limits and push them. I was the same way when I started hunting 20 years ago. It was 3 years of hunting hard before I got my first deer. I remember sitting daylight to dark in 17 degrees, no heater or hot hands. Just layered my clothes the best I could. It was painful 😅. A whole day of shivering, just to watch the deer walk towards me, not like the look of my hunting blind, and turn and walk the other way! I was still learning back then and didn't think to put my blind back up against the thicket of trees and brush it in. Instead, I had a camouflage blind sitting out in the middle of the woods, in snow 😂. Omg I was angry at myself. I was proud too though. I pushed myself to be and stay uncomfortable for a long time. Started getting them deer too 😁.

I live in an urban area, (suburb), and I never heard of coyotes in 45 years. I started to hear rumors two years ago, they were out back in the quarry. I watched a ten minute youtube video of coyote sounds to know what they sound like. Last night a firetruck blaring sirens went up the road back there, and it was a frenzy yelping and howling, sounded like twenty, or more, coyotes. Now, I gotta figure out what to do about it, because the couch potatoes in this neighborhood, will just let it fester. I'll be using my .50 cal air rifle, at night, looks like.

Had one nab one of our cats in suburban Austin TX. They apparently are very common here and learned the harsh lesson of keeping small pets indoors. I was literally inside the house 10f away as the crow flies and it was a silent quick kill and it got out of the yard before I knew wtf happened and could get a light.

Coyotes are a major pest where I am. I have family that farm sheep and grass fed cattle, and it's not unusual for calves and lambs to turn into yote food. I have another uncle that has had coyotes kill calves that he had out in hutches on his dairy farm. Every year, someone in the family has a story about coyotes surrounding their stand while they were bow hunting. Damned things make nice pelts at least.
