Julie, I love this plate. It is so beautiful and I like the fact it isn't symmetrical. I think it looks like a dragon eye! I wouldn’t worry about symmetry Julie, your finished plate is gorgeous. I honestly think the gold glass, being slightly scattered, completes this dish. It’s a definite 10/10 for me. Did you post the video of moving into you new studio and your new doggie room?

This resin had me at no fumes-fine to use indoors. Heat resistant is a bonus. There is no such thing as a respirator mask that fits small reading glasses without fogging. I am allergic to resin so any part of my skin not protected goes red and in some places I get eczema. I need to see fine work when using resin and I will willingly throw out all of the one’s I have bought so far.
When you took the cup off before you zoomed in there were a few fine scratches that were gone as soon as you ran your finger over them. If that resin can do that in 3 days, it is brilliant. Thank you for this Julie. ❤️ Oh! I like the plate.

I love the new platter...the colors are so beautiful, and the crackle texture really does look like...well, dragon skin (imo)! LOVE the gold bits in the center! As always, everything you make is gorgeous! 😊

What would it look like if you sprinkled the gold flakes around the centre, instead of concentrating them in the middle? Also, I’d like to see an asymmetrical pour of random Colour’s, instead of in a circular pattern. I think it could be beautiful, if you chose blues, greens and teals, or reds, yellows and oranges. I love your experimentation. And your beautiful pendants.

Does all golds for example contain metallic properties , have a set of mica maybe pearl pigments and wonder if I need to order special metallic powders or if the micas I have will work?

I love the effect that you got on the plate! Really cool! I was a bit worried about the dishwasher test but then amazed at the result. So since it is food safe that means you can eat off of it? I've been wanting to make my own plates that would be okay to eat from. Do you think this would work in a microwave too? That would be great if it would! I use the microwave quite a bit.
What causes the resin to make the dragon scale effects? I am so amazed at how you do so many different things with the same products but get totally different effects. I obviously don't work with resin and don't understand it at all lol

Are these resin plates food-safe edible? Meaning you can put food on it or in a bowl or cup? Do you need to put something on top of this to make it food safe!

You really make some beautiful things. About how much do you thank it is to get started? Like a few forms resin an colors. I would love to try this but want to make sure it's not really costly.
It’s costly. Check out Amazon for molds, colors, & resin
It's an expensive hobby. Do it for fun, not to make money

Julie can you tell me how much resin I need to make the octopus mold? I have one and saw your video and yours was so cute. Just wondered if you knew how many. Ounces it took to make?? Thank You
Use a measuring cup & water to get ounces. Then let dry thoroughly before using. Every mold I get, I measure in water & jot down ounces on a sticky note & put on mold so I don’t have to measure every time or even think I could remember
