Another thank you here, the reset is slightly different to the Bosch in that you need to hold down the start button as well.
Wouldn't have figured that out without your video.

I have a Hoover machine here and the controller has started getting.. "weird".
Sometimes, it will show all kinds of strange characters on the display, and starting a wash, it will spin, stop, then fill to the top with water, then empty, then fill, then empty, then unlock the door, then spin at full speed.
Washing my clothes has never been so exciting!
It won't be long before I stick an Atmel 328 in it and write my own wash programs.

Haha! Once i use Arduino for "clothes dryer" :D but it was simple, just timer + spin left / right - wish luck.
Problems You described most like telling me there is issue with power rail - undervoltage / overvoltage make MCU behave like this.
Check PSU driver IC / electrolytic caps in that area - pretty sure that will resolve issue.

Hey, I have no idea so I tell You what I did. Take look at back plate of this dryer, and there will be model number (I tried E14-3R but nothing was found) there is long number at back - put it in google & add word "brushes". I ordered mine from first page on list and this is how I fixed it.
