Excellent video. My husband was out!! This Bosch machine has never let me down b4! Whatsapped a son !! He sent me your video and hey presto, I did most if it myself !! Emptied the machine safely But couldn’t undo the cap to get the blockage out. Very clear instructions young man. Well done!!
Thank you !!! Had the F18 error and tried the putting it on spin cycle and a drain to get past it. Couldn’t undo the filter and found your video and realised mine was very tight and stuck. Managed to get it open and it was full of fluff etc. So pleased I now have my machine back. Brilliant clear instructions, and, you have the exact same machine too
Clearly explained at a good easy to follow pace. I found part of a chopped up credit card, which we all now know would take hundreds of years to disintegrate, so there for ever basically, catching anything else like fluff! Thanks very much!
Thank you for calmly giving me the confidence to tackle this! Successfully recovered a safety pin, two plastic bread bag closures, 6mm hex nut, a length of fibreglass rod(!?) and sweet wrappers!
Excellent guide. I had this happen last wash and managed to get it open but clothes were soaking. Wash last night same thing happened but I seen the error code this time thankfully. So followed your steps and found a small ankle sock, coin and plastic that is usually on a plastic milk bottle at the cap and a cocktail stick 😂 There is a rotten stale water smell through the kitchen now though so I imagine the water must have been building up there for a while now. Thumbs up helped me sort it 👍
Good video with simple to follow instructions. Unfortunately in my case the E18 error code was being caused by a blockage at the hose and pipe clamp so I needed to see a different video to learn what to do there. It might be an idea to do a second video (if you haven't already that is) to show what to do if the problem isn't at the filter.
Was able to sort my parents washing machine for them thanks to your video. I have to say it was very clear , concise and easy to follow. This is the first time I've ever fixed a machine before . Ashamed to say I would normally just ask my husband ( but he wasn't here) but no more ! Im empowered.
Well done, that's what this is all about, trying to help people. Great feeling to fix something rather than having to ask for help, or even having to pay someone to sort it.
Thank you so much, a great video. I had this issue and you have my machine in your video too, which was so nice to see. I drained the machine, checked the back pipe, the drain near the machine. But I missed that you could pull out the filter. I found a few now exceptionally clean coins, a small plastic thing from the corners of shirt collars and some random debris. Your trick with the bakling pan is great too for catching the water :)
I was trying to find some good instruction for the F18 error fix. Followed your guide and seems ok now (found a coin 😂) thank you very much for your useful video
Helped me fix my washing machine, thank you. I was horrified to see a power board on the floor beside the washing machine though. That’s a bit dangerous.
I enjoyed watching your video --- I found a paperclip and a coin in the filter however I had the more major problem of removing a clog of fabric from the outlet hose at the sink ubend. All removed - all fixed thank you
@@lords-electrical . Try to imagine an 80 year old woman at 8pm with bucket, tray, towels and fear following your instructions. Man, I did not expect to have to empty so much water! I found the blockage….2 plastic things similar to what you showed. They might have eventually been expelled but the lint from the mats that I was washing, clogged it up real good. I cleared, rinsed and wiped the apparatus, put it on a quick was and breathed a sigh of relief. I eventually wiped under the seals and gave it a cleaning wash. Thank you very, very much.
4:45 my cap is stuck and won't budge even with a strong pliers. I can turn it anti-clockwise for about half a turn and then it gets stuck and won't unscrew. Any ideas how to fix this?
Update. I used a pliers and applied enough force to open it but not so much to damage the cap. There was a sock stuck in there! Sometimes brute force is the answer. Thank you very much for the response.
Unfortunately its a case of just trying to get it undone turning Anti-clockwise. They can be very stiff to get undone especially if its not been undone before. I have had to refer to large pliers before to help trying not to damage the head. Good luck!!
I can only turn the cap a 1/4 a turn, I can’t get it off? Tried pliers as one suggested and it snapped some of it. It’s not stiff, there is something preventing it from turning…. Any advice?
Thank you very much, nice and easy.I have cleaned the filter and set up the quick program.Unfortunately 8 minutes before rinse time again appears Error 18😭😢 please help what to do next🙏🏻🙏🏻 My friend is on holiday and is back soon and she needs washing maschine🙌🏻
@@lords-electrical Thank you, understand of course. Got question last one- tried quick wash program without laundry inside and have to say was no problem with E18. Does it mean all is back to normal finally?
Hi mine was stuck too and i needed pliers to get it out. A small lego sick had wedged in the impeller and with this out all worked fine. Thanks to Lords Electrical for the empowerment!
Very informative. But with mine (Siemens iq500) I get the error message and there is a smell of hot plastic. Nothing is blocking but emptying the water out and/or turning it off for an hour seems to bring it back to life. Still, I can’t very well be on my knees in front of this thing at leadt once a week. 😢

Brilliant. Followed instructions and it worked. As a lady living by herself this was so helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this easy to understand video. Fixed the problem and found five pence in the filter, so a win win situation! Happy lady 😊

Annoyingly there may be something stuck in the thread. It could be a case of just keep trying to turn it and it should then open.

hi , after following the steps . still not working . any tips. tx
Could hose pipe issue cause F-18 error code?
It can do, it could be a blocked waste pipe at the back of the machine.
Thank you.

It is normally the filter at the bottom of the machine that is blocked, or the waste pipe at the back of the machine that is blocked.
@@lords-electrical Thank you, understand of course. Got question last one- tried quick wash program without laundry inside and have to say was no problem with E18. Does it mean all is back to normal finally?
@Jola Strach yes hopefully as long as its filled up with water and emptied ok then you should be back to normal.

My machine (Varioperfect Serie 6) has no pipe in the bit at the front, is this normal?
yes it is, as only certain models have the hose on the front
I have this problem, screen is not displaying wash times. Upd code coming up .

Un peu d'eau sort de tuyau noir?

assurez-vous que le bouchon est à l'extrémité du tuyau, sinon il fuira.

My E18 was caused by a baby sock in the pump lint filter 😂😂

Looks like it is an issue with the control module and you will need an engineer to sort this out.
ES problem solution please
Hi. Thanks for nice video. I had F18 and it doesn't comes up again after I took some peace of plastic. But my washing machine still not drains. Any suggestions?
I would normally check the waste outlet as it could be a blockage there.
Hello, I did what you are showing, but still the washer doesn't drain completely.
What can I do? Please.
If you have taken the filter out at the front and all of the water has drained out then there shouldn't be any water in the machine.
