THE LONG AWAITED EP
The story about the crane stayed with me. In jail, there's a sort of freedom in the sense where everyone is 'equal'. But there's no physical freedom. Outside, there's physical freedom but then we may be imprisoned by our circumstances.
I served my NS as a dog handler in Changi Prison. Its big enough that you can run 2.4km inside without going 1 round around the complex. But it is true when Dee Kosh said if you want to escape from Changi. You can't lol

At the end of the day, we all fuck up. Dee has served his time and will hopefully use the lessons he learned to make a fresh start.
I’m torn - on one hand I know even if this channel doesn’t give him a platform, others will and this is obviously of interest to people so it will get clicks, but on the other hand, when the people he took advantage of see him being welcomed in the creator space again I’m sure it must be really upsetting for them. I guess people do deserve second chances but for sexual offences??
So whats the use of jail and sentence then? He have went through his punishment. Move on.

I was shocked when there was a 7:14 "police arrest"!!! lolll I enjoyed the podcast and this is perhaps one of the longest podcasts I've ever listened through in one sitting. Love Dee's analogy and bravery for doing this. You still have my respect. you're still one of the best host I've seen!

I disagree with DK's response to being a hypocrite. His reasoning of "I didn't know" did not hold up in court but he is still using it to justify his actions. Also he is positioning himself as the better man when compared to Eden Ang even though he is the one who has a criminal record. Other than that it was an insightful episode- he is undeniably a good storyteller and entertaining to listen to
Main thing I noticed is how often BMT is being brought up for comparison 😂
Nice of TDK to give Dee airtime here to recount his experience but what about the victim's side of the story? I understand there could be shame or immense pressure from their families to not share but it is only fair.
Not supporting deekosh blindly or anything but the victim’s side of the stories were aired to the police hence he got his sentencing. At the same time, not all the charges were validated (if you listened to his podcast, eg the rape charge) and that’s why he has his time to share his journey and his side with us I guess? He did serve his sentence for those nonsense he did, give him and his fam a second chance to move on. If the victims really feel unjustified, they always reserve the right to sue him and present their evidence again.
@@viviantan8937 Let's call a spade a spade. Dee is here simply because he has a leg up in the media industry. Not the same can be said for those whose lives were impacted by his actions regardless of the verdict. If he's been given a chance to speak here, so should the other side so that we can form a more objective opinion which is also why I follow TDK cause that has always been their MO.

Or you would rather ask your family, friends and yourself to save on the legal fees, keep it to rebuild your old business or to start a new small business instead, after you served your jail sentence?
Hindsight is always 20/20 what, maybe he thought at that point there was a fighting chance to defend himself? Lessen the sentence or just slap with a fine? dunno man

Hope ppl won’t underestimate how much strength it takes to do this plus nobody wants to be reminded over and over again about a painful experience. anyway, I hope u get to see this and hopefully this inspires u in a way or another. I think ure gifted and ur voice remains ur greatest asset. somehow ur voice demands attention like it makes ppl wanna listen when u speak. don’t underestimate this ok cuz powerful voice = ppl will be listening = able to convey info = u influence ppl 😂 maybe u can put it to work again and further develop ur speaking voice? Stay strong and don’t give up 💪🏼 on days u can’t, think of those behind u throughout this journey and hopefully it’s enough to keep u fighting!

Really great episode, actually John asks really great questions. Actually watching his videos even before all these events that transpired, can actually tell that he was closeted lah. Anyway, kudo's to Dee Kosh's family for standing by him all these time and I hope that he will move on and have other opportunities out there.

I'm willing to forgive Dee Kosh's errors and let society offer him another opportunity to rectify them. However, I take issue with him criticizing others for their mistakes while publicly disparaging them in videos. Now that he has made a mistake, it's natural for people to be repulsed by his actions. It's a classic case of karma - he talked negatively about others, and now it has come back to haunt him.
He did said it is fair for ppl to criticise him the same way. So at least he can take it and dish it I guess
And now God has forgiven him. In God's eyes, we are all sinners. God will show you every thing you are also doing in secret. Let's just stop pointing fingers at Dee too. Cos we are doing the exact same thing if we do. We are not perfect so we cannot judge others.

honestly, I genuinely want to forgive him but there was so much stuff that could have been prevented firstly ask the boys their age albeit the boys could have looked older but some kids can look older than their real age so he should have found that out first, second of all he shouldn't really have like tried to contact them too much after finding out and maybe like tell them you didn't understand and if possible can they still be friends. And for all I know from his case, I'm pretty sure it was mostly verbal like no touchy but trying to obtain sexual services from a minor is a big no no.
also adding on I saw a comment who said that dee kosh didn't seem repentant but maybe on the flip side, he could just be trying to use comedy to try to be positive
and I would also like to say that everyone deserves a second chance so dee kosh please don't fuck up anymore and I hope you truly have repented for what you have done and turned over a new leaf
