This is very insightful for me having never really played baseball growing up in Scotland, we might do a bit of rounders, and some play a lot of cricket, but it is nice to here more of an explanation on the baseball movements and golfswing.
Do you think that in baseball you swing the bat from the knob end at the base of your left or lead hand and your right hand is more just pushing or supporting against the impact? Where in golf you are swing the club more at the point BETWEEN the hands? I guess that would mean more like a split grip feel like in hockey? There is something about the difference not only in the face control in golf but the fact that you are hitting it with the club head which is at the very end of the shaft and off to the side of the shaft where as in baseball the sweet spot is 4 to 8 inches from the end of the bat and is actually part of the shaft? Also the clubhead's lie angle is set to the ground and the weight of the clubhead is to the side of the shaft (like in a hockey stick). In my little league baseball days I used to feel like I could actually hit the ball just as far if I just held it in my left hand only where its more you are swinging the base of your left hand against the knob of the bat. I guess in baseball its more of a left handed hammer action because in a hammer even though the head is on the very end it is lined up with the shaft not on the side of the shaft like in golf. So golf is more like twirling the club shaft between your hands? It seems like in baseball you hit the ball much more before your hands turn over where in golf its only a split second before the shaft aligns with your left arm and then passes your hands?? What do you think, sorry for the crazy rant.
@@MiloLinesGolf I think you are right, I tried going back to a lead side dominant swing and it feels great and I hit the ball very solid. I think the key is to focus on the club swinging with the butt end leading the whole way even after impact and the club head passes the hands. The left arm will straighten from the outward force and when the butt end is farthest away from you under and in front of you the club head end will swing past your hands but you still feel like you are swinging the butt end with your left hand all the way thru even when the club head is ahead of your hands. So I don't feel like my left hand stops to let the clubhead pass by but the clubhead just swings pass my hands even though I am still swinging the club by the butt end the whole way.

@@Eric-zk2hu interesting thoughts however I personally feel that my golf swing is lead side dominant as you described the baseball swing.
