Man this video reinforced the feels I have when I striking it great. Feel the club behind the center of my torso after transition is what I think of as the slot. If I’m patient getting there, I can pretty much rotate as hard as I want and everything feels easy. Really liked this one.
Sammy Byrd who played for the NY Yankees and won on the PGA tour said that there really wasn't much difference between the swings other than the obvious plane. Hogan was said to often consult with him. Nice Video straight and to the point.
I did the drill at the range the other night. I did notice a marked twisting of my hips cranking my torso around my tilted axis. I think Rory stops his hips momentarily to sling his shoulder but with this I tended to hit a push. Great vid- ML has great concepts.
Finally had a chance to try the feeling of cutting yourself in half just hitting a wedge and the results were extremely promising. Center hits and great ball flight. I will now add the head down & out should really help. Keep these coming

Been watching milo's videos for years now.....this video pretty much sums up milo's concept of the golf swing ....which i subscribe to! Great job guys! Thanks so much!
Milo are you familiar/have looked closely at the swing of Ryan Fox on the European tour. I think his move embodies a lot of your teaching - baseball swing, sling the arms move very powerful 👌👌👌
Have tried the Kwon and AMG weight transfer but I’m more consistent w the left knee moving down and around in transition like what you and the MORAD guys teach 👍
Very basic explanation of a powerful move. Bradley hughes explains it with a rotation of forearms going back with some flattening on downswing Your baseball analogy is great. Golf from Hughes baseball from you waiting for hockey. Maybe I will figure this on my own. Thanks for keeping it simple
Huh, I think Henry said the magic words for me there- that the club gets closer to you as you turn through. I’ve been operating under the assumption that the club moves away from me coming down(Nicklaus et al saying you want the clubhead to be as far as possible from the lead shoulder at impact), as such I’ve never been able to get the rotational matchup to work right; either super fat or I’d extend as usual and catch it flush. Thanks for the head change, Henry!
Question? How important is it to be able to feel the mass of the clubhead? I can swing much faster with clubs that are heavy. If its a normal off the rack iron or driver I have no idea where the face is. Do you think physically stronger players need in general heavier swingweights? It made a huge difference in my game.
Works for some for sure. I would concede to a expert club fitter in this case, maybe Chad here can speak to that: th-cam.com/video/Gjilgpg0rP8/w-d-xo.html
Having never played baseball this concept of not trying to get the clubhead to the ball as quickly as possible is foreign. However, it makes a lot more sense than my pitiful driving distance. Just watched a video of Danny Maude with Pete Cowan showing how the right forearm delivers the club to the ball and it matches generally the concept of keeping the right wrist cocked back.
Great video guys! A humble video suggestion here. Would you guys be able to do a video elaborating on the open clubface from the inside? It’s something you’ve said in videos but some clarification would be great.🙏🏻

Hi guys. Great video, great teaching concept! Just wanted to point out that the fuzzy focused example you refer to in your video is NOT swinging the way you are. This is especially pronounced when you are demonstrating the full pivot with your left hip and left side open well you are holding that wrist angle and turning your body through. It looks to me like the golfer in your video is doing a blended move chopping down while turning! Take another look see what you think! Keith from New Jersey
The back right arm/elbow will almost be touching the right ribs and dropping as one w/the shoulders turn going down 'under the chin' [not over the top and separating from the ribs when shoulders 'twist'] around to impact, where the arms straighten out to the finish. Watch slow motion swings of Rory. This video shows the right elbow sequence plus the downswing, then the whole swing to how you should finish. Includes Rory and Morikawa th-cam.com/video/NmT19TcjEvs/w-d-xo.html
im a big fan. milo could you have a training session with a high handicapper ( young , old, male , female) where you have them hit t-balls off varying heights ( t-ball level, ground/golf ball level) until they can actually hit the baseballs well, thereby demonstrating their athletic swings. then replace the bat with a golf club , tweak the grip and have them fire away without any instruction on bat dissecting body, rotating through the ball staying down , etc. I know you'd be awesome in this type of video. cheers, tom
Just like if I asked you to heave the club down range, the COM would kick back and you would clear your lead side hard. We build it up from a slower speed at first.
The problem I’m having with this move is it forces my head out sooner than I would like and it feels like I’m not looking at the ball at impact lol I tried it and I hit the ball straight right which I know I’m probably not doing it right
The difference I see in the baseball swing is the batter starts the swing with the bat vertical and then drops it in the slot as he swings. I believe you're saying a golfer shouldn't stand the club up, but that's exactly what the baseball player is doing.
Actually Milo has drills where you stand the club up and then you drop it into the slot and rotate. For an extreme version of this search for his playing the flute drill.
In many of our videos we talk about "standing the club up" in the backswing. This was more covering the downswing elements. Check out this video I did with colleague Ed Lasater: th-cam.com/video/4YXZsYWWNsQ/w-d-xo.html

The instruction is fine but this format of these two talking to each other with us sort of eavesdropping is less than great. This channel isn’t the only one that uses it but it’s not as effective as addressing the viewer and conducting class. I don’t know why channels do it other than to find something for two guys to do that’s best done by one or one at a time with one talking to the camera and one demonstrating.
@@MiloLinesGolf Okay, since you asked: I suggest to you that your goal be summarized this way: “Watch this video and see what it’s like to take a lesson from Milo Lines.” That’s what you’re NOT doing now. If I went to you for a lesson, would you have me stand on the side to eavesdrop on a conversation between you and another pro, only occasionally acknowledging my presence? I don’t think so. In other words, Milo, you’re not including your audience, the people whose attention and, you hope, whose dollars, you seek. I could go on to suggest how to do that but with the aforementioned goal in mind, you’re obviously savvy enough to figure it out.

Do you have an example of a video on my channel or perhaps another coach's channel you like as a model of this?
I wasn’t criticizing all your videos but only your use of this format. And your instruction is better than found on many popular sites. Anyway, speaking only of format and the use of technology, Steve Pratt, for example, does a good job engaging the viewer with his instruction and particularly his use of training aids and slow-motion video from multiple points of view to illustrate his points. He’s good at getting his ideas across. I also appreciate instructors who have really thought through what they want to say (and maybe rehearsed) and who don’t meander all over the place when they speak, which can be maddening. Sean Clements is organized. Todd Graves could give anyone a migraine trying to follow one of his sentences. In this video, it looks like you and your fellow pro talked generally beforehand about what you wanted to say but you clearly didn’t rehearse and you were largely winging it. It was two guys talking about something they agree upon. Informality and “just two guys talking” has its place but when it comes to teaching, it’s good to “warm up on the range before you go to the first tee,” if you know what I mean. This is a staged lesson for thousands of viewers. If you wanted to and had the time, I believe you could have made a better product. You do have a lot of good things to say that are different and thought-provoking. Let me add that your use of technology to stand Cameron Champ up and show the similarity to a baseball swing was a great idea and very effective.

Ideally this matchup would happen as a result of good sequence and pivot, but for many they need to manually make it happen at first to understand how the club ought to move in space. Heel strikes. I'd have to see Scott, could be numerous things, i.e. club fitting, moving into the ball, extending arms, etc.
