Look at it this way: it's a cosmetic reward, just like what you get for beating an entire adventure on Heroic. Nice for showing off that you've done something incredible, but has very little gameplay impact.
Murlocs. Tidecaller into Rockpool/tidehunter into warleader into megasaur. I've beat everything with it except warrior and Druid which are still quite easy

I didn't wanna craft molten giant so I just played secret mage. Absolutely stomped him & although I didn't get the draw for it, I'm pretty sure you can play Kabal Lackey on turn 1 and counterspell to stop him from setting your health to 1, I noticed he plays the coin afterwards. But really all you need to do is just get a secret up and Ethereal Arcanist and by turn 7 mine was like a 11/11 or something. For pally I played Murlocs, my draw was Tidecaller > Rockpool Hunter > Murloc Warleader > Coldlight Seer > Megasaur. Easy win.
Quick f2p strategy to beat lich king with warrior (only required legendary is Kel Thuzad and only epic is brawl): play weapons and whatever else you prefer to control the board early. When he gets to the frostmourne phase play brawl without friendly minions on board, one enemy soul survives. Play Kel Thuzad and public defender (0/7 taunt). During frostmourne lich king doesn't play cards, so no obliterate and such, your KT will stick. 0/7 taunt will soak all damage without ever damaging the soul. You can stay in that phase until you've built a huge board or prepared an otk.

This adventure is very good, well designed, challenging and with fun bosses and catch phrases. It was just luck: they are regular shitpacks. In Blizzard they have no fucking soul. They are the real lich kings.
to every body complaining that the boss is pay 2 win. Kinda I am F2p and I can defeaf it. But I play the game at 3 years now. 3 years of gridding, 3 years o ladder and arena. Both skill, colletion and dedication. All previous heroic bosses worked that way. Now there is no heroic mode, this is it. And i think its fair. If you want to complete the story, any one can do it, if you want to make it heroic, its only for few. Like legend rank, 12 arena wins and stuff. The adventure will awalys be there, you can came back to deafeat it any time. I came back to Nax 2 years latter to make it all heroic. Then I did all bosses heroic. It was fun, and good for the game. A content to be revisited.
I defeated The Lich King with a "standard" Quest Rogue deck, lulz. I took out all the spells and replaced them with ancient brewmasters, saronite chain gangs, dreadscale knights, and raid leader plus doomsayers for turn 6. the raid leader was for turn 7 if i had a board of 5/5's so that they can one shot the 2/6's. it took about 5 tries and i didnt even use the doomsayers because i completed the quest already by turn 6, and had full board of 5'5's
i recommend cobalt scalebane and skelemancer for almost any deck, along with defender of argus/sunfury lets you scale out of control as he has no board clear
For mage it's alot easier if you kabal lacky into counterspell. I had to restart a couple of times to have both in my hand turn one but man does it turn the match into a piece of cake.
Pretty much, might get lucky with something but overall you're going to need a pretty Meta deck. After seeing this and trying with Priest a few times I gave up. Without so many of the good cards for him, its almost impossible.
Hero skins should be somewhat hard to earn, but there isn't a gimmick to this boss, he's just a brute force boss who's simply stronger and more durable than you. His Phase 3 hero power is just dumb for control classes and I honestly don't understand what hunter is going to do against him unless they save toxic arrow + unstable ghoul for the 2/6 phase against a boss that wild priest has a difficult time controlling. At least the first 6 bosses were fun.
Gianluciniho kibler did with a Reno hunter, running two stitch trackers to get more renos or doomsayers Also frost mourn face can be completely skipped using a doomsayer on turn 6. He won't attack with the minions on board first, so he can't deal with it and always let it go off
Gianluciniho I've seen just stacking spells and less than 10 minions is the way to go. Dk hunters hero power doesn't apply to LK spell either. So you can stick him in and hope you live that long to get some form of minion
Strongside how can control priest NOT handle that phase? You literally have a four mana card that clear them all away with shadow word horror... For all other classes a doomsayer on turn 6 clears the phase no matter what since he doesn't attack with his board first.
You actually don't want to do this, you want to built up your board/win conditio during that phase, that's how you win as warrior and mage. Skipping it means you lose. The only class you can safely do it on if Paladin. All others, you'd rather take advantage that he doesn't play any cards during that phase and use develop a winning board state.
Druid is really easy, fill deck with 3 mana minions, add 2 auctioneers, 2 innervates, 2 of the "3 mana heal 8"s and 2 jade idols. You will go infinite jades on turn 4
As a mage you can simply cabal lakey/counterspell on turn one and you will remain at 30 health. might take a few mulligans but the fight is supereasy that way.

To the people who are complaining. Omg impossible with f2p deck!! Ok listen. For one, it's not impossible. Having good decks for multiple classes is hard, but with enough effort it can be done cheap. Secondly. It's a new hero skin?? Who fucking cares. Be glad it's not a reward that impacts gameplay, that would make the people ahead, even further ahead. This way it's a nice well earned reward for a good challenge.
In my opinion the best thing if you have two molten giants in your deck and you wait until you get them in your opening hand. You can rush his face easily and if you are lucky you can kill him before turn 7. I recommend it. I have found this the easiest way to beat him by far. :)

Everyone having problems beating it for the first time, try a Druid deck with Spoiler for Druid battle! Innervate, Ramp, Auctioneer, Jade Idols and Earthen Scales. Then fill the rest with less then 3 mana minions. his Spell gets rid of all the less then 3 mana minions, so you draw the important things. Mulligan for Innervates, Auctioneers and Idols, spam idols and earthen scales a big jade golem. Easy win. You just have to watch out to mulligan away all less then 3 mana minions and hope for somewhat decent draw. I got it first try, but i had good luck because he didnt frostmourne my Auctioneer, had 22/22 Golems on board and one-hit him after Frostmourne phase
If you guys want an easy way to beat it, play murlocs. Hard mulligan for tidecaller on turn 1, if he coins out a 1 drop then restart, also if you don't get tidecaller restart. Turn 2 your gonna want tidehunter, if you don't get it maybe restart, it depends on what he plays that turn. Turn 3 your looking for coldlight seer or warleader, coldlight seer is good so you can trade a bit more without worrying about your tidecaller or other murlocs from dying, and warleader for damage, and so when he obliterates he does it on the warleader not the tidecaller. You should only take about 6-10 damage and it can go through the frostmoure turn if you've built the tidecaller up enough and have played coldlight seer. I did this with shaman, realised most the cards I played to win were neutral, then did it with rogue, warlock, hunter, and paladin. Warlock you can run dups of the important murlocs since your semi smorcing should kill him fast enough, same idea with hunter. Still have yet to try it Mage, and for warrior I think the best bet is mill warrior with dead mans hand and waiting for him to start fatiguing in the frostmourne turn, while also using brawl with nothing on board in the frostmoure turn so he only has one guy (i.e.: what kripp did).
Kibler, if you read this, please try and do a F2P deck list for all classes. At least as close as possible to one. A fee legendaries and there substitutes would be perfect
Priest was pretty easy. I just used my thoughtsteal combo priest. Just remember to pace yourself and maintain board control. Try to clear the board before turn 7, and save all your divine spirits and inner fire on whatever the strongest thing is(probably stolen). Oh, and if you Mind Vision on turn one, you will steal the card that prevents you from emoting, and you can cast it back on him. Waste of a mind vision, but it's funny.
I won with OTK priest; Djinni style lol killed him in one turn. The 2/6 were difficult to deal with considering I didn't know about them and it was a standard Djinni OTK deck but still won first try and it was hella fun.
priest can't emote and yet every other class must face their biggest weakness turn 1. Warlock- damage for duplicates Mage- set to 1 health (mage is the worst at taunts) Hunter- damage for minions in deck (fewest spells and high minion dependence) Shaman- everything is 1/1 (evolve or murloc shamans are good counters) Paladin- all minions you lose go to him (do not play galvadon or volcanosaur unless lethal) Rogue- no spells for those combos you have warrior- someone who has more armor than you a total of 130 to be precise (Blizzard really wanted warrior players to feel some pity for those who they fought while stacking armor endlessly) druid- 3 cost or lower minions are destroyed (not that bad but tougher than priests challenge)
Everyone says it's difficult to win with all 9 without some high budget decks. Here's my 9 classes decks summarised Warlock- Renolock (unduplicated zoo but 10 total duplicates are feasible) Warrior- Murlocs like just spam (no cheap version since other decks can use murlocs) Priest- Silence with shadow word horror (murlocs need some tries) Rogue- EZ game with murlocs Mage- can be pulled off with murlocs, kabal lackey, counterspell don't rly have to counterspell turn 1 but if lucky then EZ (2molten giants if u have them easier) Paladin- tough but murloc with some buffs Shaman- Murlocs again with everyfin if u have it Hunter- A lot of early game with abt 10 minions (alleycat hyena DONT RUN Savannah too slow since frostmourne next turn) Druid- Jade (srsly gd trick given by someone in comments- auctioneer, idol, blossoms, innervate, spam
It's abt 5k dust for the murlocs since u will need at least 1 gentle megasaur and finja if possiblr but if u main pally it might be worth since u can play murloc pally
I only go to rank 20 each month, and i won with 4 of the 9 classes now... it takes some time because i am missing many cards (All legendarys that makes this easy) but you can do it :)
Turn 1, lich king plays a card that for the rest of the game all my minions that die will join him. Im like wtf... This is temporary maybe? Well it wasnt....
I managed to beat this guy after 12 tries, used an elemental priest deck (imagine elemental mage, but no epic spells or cards) and a Lyra. I was only able to win after I servant of kalimnos'd a second lyra, with two radiant elementals, and finished him off with a 24/24 northshire cleric XD.
Yeah, i'm not too fond of this boss. I don't mind the hero being so hard to get but this boss mostly relies on lucky starting hands and wether or not you topdeck that aoe removal card. I really liked the previous wings, especially the marrowgar and deathwisper, with their gimmicks.

don't need a high budget deck. Just recognize his three phases and play accordingly. P2 is hardest, you want to get rid of Frostmourne plus his board asap. Hint: use stuff like shadow word horror, or the mass corruption card from warlock, etc.
The encounter is so much better as regular Anduin, as Anduin actually makes hilarious muffled "Mphhh" sounds when he's silenced.

for Shaman you have to evolve to have good minion since everything is 1/1 outside of it

I recommend using doomsayer with every class. Actually if yout put it down on turn 6 the LK can't kill it next turn.

I got super lucky 5th try with hunter. Just jammed my deck full of spells, two bows, and the hero card. Build a beast Carry.
I've got him with Control Priest. Only legendaries I had was Lyra and Medivh.

Ok listen. For one, it's not impossible. Having good decks for multiple classes is hard, but with enough effort it can be done cheap.
Secondly. It's a new hero skin?? Who fucking cares. Be glad it's not a reward that impacts gameplay, that would make the people ahead, even further ahead. This way it's a nice well earned reward for a good challenge.
if you mind vision his silence for you then you can silence his emotes back. adds extra hilariousness
In my opinion the best thing if you have two molten giants in your deck and you wait until you get them in your opening hand. You can rush his face easily and if you are lucky you can kill him before turn 7. I recommend it. I have found this the easiest way to beat him by far. :)
unfortunatly he always have that spell for 2 destroing minion and tounts 3/5 deathrattle: summon 1/2 tount :/
Sometimes but if you are lucky then it works. Also this part of the solo adventure is about luck and many many tries... :D:D
What the Lich King does to every class;
Paladin: Summons your minions when they die (as deathrattle)
Warlock: Deals 2 dmg to your face for every duplicate you have
Mage: Sets you health to 1
Hunter: Deals 2 dmg to you face for every minion in your deck
Priest: Silence you so you cant emote
Rogue: Destroys all you spells
Shaman: turns all minions in your deck and hand into 1/1s
Druid: Destroys all minions that cost 3 or less
Warrior: He gains 100 armor

Everyone having problems beating it for the first time, try a Druid deck with
Spoiler for Druid battle!
Innervate, Ramp, Auctioneer, Jade Idols and Earthen Scales. Then fill the rest with less then 3 mana minions. his Spell gets rid of all the less then 3 mana minions, so you draw the important things.
Mulligan for Innervates, Auctioneers and Idols, spam idols and earthen scales a big jade golem. Easy win. You just have to watch out to mulligan away all less then 3 mana minions and hope for somewhat decent draw.
I got it first try, but i had good luck because he didnt frostmourne my Auctioneer, had 22/22 Golems on board and one-hit him after Frostmourne phase
Stubborn Gastropod and Alarm-O-Bot is the way to go

If you guys want an easy way to beat it, play murlocs. Hard mulligan for tidecaller on turn 1, if he coins out a 1 drop then restart, also if you don't get tidecaller restart. Turn 2 your gonna want tidehunter, if you don't get it maybe restart, it depends on what he plays that turn. Turn 3 your looking for coldlight seer or warleader, coldlight seer is good so you can trade a bit more without worrying about your tidecaller or other murlocs from dying, and warleader for damage, and so when he obliterates he does it on the warleader not the tidecaller. You should only take about 6-10 damage and it can go through the frostmoure turn if you've built the tidecaller up enough and have played coldlight seer. I did this with shaman, realised most the cards I played to win were neutral, then did it with rogue, warlock, hunter, and paladin. Warlock you can run dups of the important murlocs since your semi smorcing should kill him fast enough, same idea with hunter. Still have yet to try it Mage, and for warrior I think the best bet is mill warrior with dead mans hand and waiting for him to start fatiguing in the frostmourne turn, while also using brawl with nothing on board in the frostmoure turn so he only has one guy (i.e.: what kripp did).

An easy win for priest is to go for an inner fire deck. It helped with getting the Lich King down in a few turns.
Need a hell of a collection to beat this. I got to him but the King stops me dead in my tracks lol

Some classes have it really hard, like mage and hunter. Others are insanely easy, priest and jade druid (no negatives at all).

Priest was pretty easy. I just used my thoughtsteal combo priest. Just remember to pace yourself and maintain board control. Try to clear the board before turn 7, and save all your divine spirits and inner fire on whatever the strongest thing is(probably stolen).
Oh, and if you Mind Vision on turn one, you will steal the card that prevents you from emoting, and you can cast it back on him. Waste of a mind vision, but it's funny.

BLNT yes
I won with OTK priest; Djinni style lol killed him in one turn. The 2/6 were difficult to deal with considering I didn't know about them and it was a standard Djinni OTK deck but still won first try and it was hella fun.
priest can't emote and yet every other class must face their biggest weakness turn 1.
Warlock- damage for duplicates
Mage- set to 1 health (mage is the worst at taunts)
Hunter- damage for minions in deck (fewest spells and high minion dependence)
Shaman- everything is 1/1 (evolve or murloc shamans are good counters)
Paladin- all minions you lose go to him (do not play galvadon or volcanosaur unless lethal)
Rogue- no spells for those combos you have
warrior- someone who has more armor than you a total of 130 to be precise (Blizzard really wanted warrior players to feel some pity for those who they fought while stacking armor endlessly)
druid- 3 cost or lower minions are destroyed (not that bad but tougher than priests challenge)

Everyone says it's difficult to win with all 9 without some high budget decks. Here's my 9 classes decks summarised
Warlock- Renolock (unduplicated zoo but 10 total duplicates are feasible)
Warrior- Murlocs like just spam (no cheap version since other decks can use murlocs)
Priest- Silence with shadow word horror (murlocs need some tries)
Rogue- EZ game with murlocs
Mage- can be pulled off with murlocs, kabal lackey, counterspell don't rly have to counterspell turn 1 but if lucky then EZ (2molten giants if u have them easier)
Paladin- tough but murloc with some buffs
Shaman- Murlocs again with everyfin if u have it
Hunter- A lot of early game with abt 10 minions (alleycat hyena DONT RUN Savannah too slow since frostmourne next turn)
Druid- Jade (srsly gd trick given by someone in comments- auctioneer, idol, blossoms, innervate, spam
It's abt 5k dust for the murlocs since u will need at least 1 gentle megasaur and finja if possiblr but if u main pally it might be worth since u can play murloc pally
I only go to rank 20 each month, and i won with 4 of the 9 classes now... it takes some time because i am missing many cards (All legendarys that makes this easy) but you can do it :)

you should play it on turn 6, then lich plays weapon, next turn DS clears board
Kamil Richert it's your turn 7 you have 7 mana when you play doomsayer. Then lich king plays frostmorne with 7 mana
I managed to beat this guy after 12 tries, used an elemental priest deck (imagine elemental mage, but no epic spells or cards) and a Lyra. I was only able to win after I servant of kalimnos'd a second lyra, with two radiant elementals, and finished him off with a 24/24 northshire cleric XD.
Yeah, i'm not too fond of this boss. I don't mind the hero being so hard to get but this boss mostly relies on lucky starting hands and wether or not you topdeck that aoe removal card. I really liked the previous wings, especially the marrowgar and deathwisper, with their gimmicks.
Gotta add SW: horror to the rotation for priest turn 7

don't need a high budget deck. Just recognize his three phases and play accordingly. P2 is hardest, you want to get rid of Frostmourne plus his board asap. Hint: use stuff like shadow word horror, or the mass corruption card from warlock, etc.
the worst is mage... always that 1 hp, coin and 2/3 in 1st turn; many, many tries just to don't restart in 2nd turn
