Tools to the curb, including Snap On? Wow! Somebody really needed their head examined on that one. I once dug through a pile of stuff on a curb, that was thrown out after a house was gutted out. I actually found perfectly intact Waterford Crystal glass sets, worth hundred$! I couldn't sell them though; once my wife saw them, she fell in love with them. They now sit beautifully polished in her china display cabinet, LOL.

Being a retired mechanic, I have to say that while Snap-On tools are very expensive, nothing frustrates a mechanic more than having a wrench or socket, etc. break in the middle of a job. I had accounts with all of them, Matco (which is re-branded Craftsman), MAC and Snap-on. Even Cornwell and I have to say, ALL except the Snap-on tools broke at one time or other. Professional mechanic are HARD on their tools so while all those others would last the average 'home' mechanic a lifetime, I consider the cost of Snap-On money well spent!

I served my apprenticeship using Stahlwille and Hazet from Germany. 50 plus years later i am still using them daily ,as for snap-on... I saw a tee shirt once with" Snap-on,keeping mechanics poor for decades."

I have $100,000 worth of tools ! Every mechanics most expensive investment are his tools !!!
Thats why we are picky about our tools,we HATE to let someone use them !! HATE it with a passion as they are returned damaged or the lose most of them lol....
Never give back a mechanic dirty tools,we wipe them off after we are done with them and place them nicely in the tool box !! Never touch our Tools or our Womans Tits ,NEVER !!! Youre asking for it then Pal !
