RO water! Find out if they have a reverse osmosis filter they make their coffee with. I work building windows and we use RO water for the coffee and it's excellent coffee because the water is pure.

so maybe i'm goofy, but collecting garbage in your truck and driving it straight to the dump isn't 'scrapping'. it's really not even recycling. you're just dumping mixed stuff in a pile for them to recycle. I mean, it's all good get your money, a hustle is a hustle. but 'scrapping' is taking busting items down, separating the metals, and taking 'scrap' from here, 'scrap' from there, and eventually you have a pile of one specific type of metal, preferably non-ferrous. Anyhow, youre doing you so congrats. But maybe you should pick 1...copper, brass, aluminum....and just start there. Take every bit of copper off, and everything else can go as sheet metal. Then, when you got that down, start taking brass. see what pays and what doesn't. good luck. I respect the hustle. btw where are you from?

It just amazes me how much metal people just trash.. Happy to see people out there like you making a difference for the planet
so funny. I live in WI and do this every day. I get the police called on me by nosy neighbors routinely. at least a few a month. It's truly harassment, but I don't know how to build a case. I'm out picking up metal in trash piles that the city refuses to pick up...cleaning the city, recycling....and they constantly try harassing me and threatening with 'trespassing' for picking items off between the road and sidewalk (you know, a public area..)
the real kicker is, ive got a route with repeat houses on each specific day that I take care of and have routinely spoken with the home occupants about it and gotten permission. it's crazy the things people will say. had neighbor call on me for taking a lamp from my aunts drive way that she asked me to. he told the police he watched me go in and out of peoples garages all up the alley. think they ever get arrested for filing a false report? hell no. the city inspector tries to harass me monthly. just shows up at my house, and with no authority opens my van doors, starts rifling through items, opening bags of cans I have trying to find someones address so he can contact them and try to convince them to create a story.... it truly is crazy and i'm at my limit of this bullshit. if anyone knows how I can start building a harassment case and documenting this or who to speak with (city is a no go)I'd love to hear., thanks

600lbs. and $30, That sucks. It's a shame scrap prices have been so low lately.
The other scrap yards are half that price. It's really low right now
My scrapyard is currently $45 a ton and it's 40 miles away. I use scrapping as a way to bond with my young boys that pays for itself. Garbage trucks also don't pick up curbside garbage that is outside of the bins, so it's very different where I am.

lucky you are in USA, here in France, it is difficult to find in the street with the new standards in force for a few years. The only remaining options are the cause of territorial war between national and regional companies, the self-employed and the "traveling people" communities (Roma, Gypsies, etc.) ...

Amazing that you are getting so many contacts. Im fairly new and have been looking at some of your older videos but still havent figured out what you do with the pallets. I know here in Montreal pallets are often posted on the various lists like craigs etc for free pick up. Not sure why but your videos relax me. Thank you for that. have a Blessed day. How are prices in dekalb fpr scrap these days in tn its only .0325 a lb for scrap steel about .o6 cents a lb for iron and aluminum is only .37 cents a lb theothers is a little .more a little less and they right you a check for your copper wire after they make sure you didnt steal it lol

10:45 Take only pump and base! It is usually connected by a cone, a few blows with a hammer is enough to separate it from top part. Only time i got some money selling scrap was with bunch of pumps from old barber chairs :)

I’m a scrapper, actually do it for a living. I don’t, however, go up and down streets looking for it. Go in body shops, garages, etc and ask. You’ll be surprised how much scrap you will get. I notice you throw a lot of aluminum out with metal.

Living in Alaska, people have different habits. I used to manage a free box for the church that i was going to. We also have dozens of second hand stores. I groan as i see things thrown away. I always upgrade, i am amazed that you do not keep more than you do. Oh and finally today we are having our first snowstorm. Clusters of snow the size of silver dollars. blessings
