You totally nail the curating thing, lol! These series help me discover new patterns that deserve to be seen. You gave me a few ideas. I am now knitting the Dartmoor sweater from your drop shoulder sweater video. Thank you very much Emily and keep up the good work.
Dear Emily. I love your podcasts. I have been searching for the perfect sweater/jacket for some worsted weight yarn and you found it for me. The Big Check is perfect. I will have to swatch and maybe adjust the size I choose but I love it. And you said it was a Coastal Grandma style and that's what I am. I live on the Sunshine Coast of B.C. just north of Vancouver and look out over the Salish Sea to Vancouver Island. So far my style has been jeans and a hand knit sweater but would love to see more of what you call Coastal Grandma. Maybe an dedicated episode to that. Thank you so much.
Great selection of cardigans! Thank you for sharing! A few caught my eye for possible future knitting. I am searching for a raglan, v-neck cardigan w/button band that is simultaneously knit along with the cardigan, and have had no luck. Any suggestions would be most appreciated! Thank you for continuing to create content, and sharing your talents. ❤
Emily, I love this video! You have a way of curating the loveliest pieces. One of my favourite underrated cardigans that I'm currently speed knitting for my mom for Christmas but that I want to eventually knit for myself is the Jura pattern by Trin-Annelie. The construction is so interesting, but it's also a raglan, and there's texture all over with really deep ribbing! It's simply beautiful. Sending big love
Holst Garn’s Titicaca is Alpaca, they currently do not have mohair in their stores. It’s a light fingering and it is amazing when held double, I would highly recommend it.
@@highfiberknits it is definitely the softest yarn I’ve used so far and it works well with so many ideas/projects. A cumulus blouse in that yarn would be extremely soft.
another great video. I knitted a few of those types of cardigans probably about 10 years ago, and to be honest most drive me nuts because they are constantly sliding off the shoulders. But there were a couple that I really liked, like the cigar one, and another I cannot remember the name of! I look forward to more of these. They are so fun, and different than all of the knitting podcasts which are the same for the most part. Now and then they’re fine but I can search knitting and there are 20 of the same format. EXACTLY THE SAME!1!😂 Don’t get me wrong I love to see FOs and WIPs, and yarn but love to hear what the plans are for said yarn. I just love that you also offer something different on your channel. Thanks for the great video!❤
This series is so helpful, it’s like you’re reading my mind. So many points you have brought up mirror the reasons why I don’t want to make things on a whim anymore. Could you do a series for bulky/super bulky? I hate the usual chunky oversized sweaters and hats, but also have a beautiful stash from WAK that I’d like to use🙈
@@highfiberknits I e been refining my taste and have noticed that while bulky/super bulky works up quickly, it’s not usually super practical. And why spend all that time making something if you’re not going to use it? I’ve been spending so much time combing through ravelry and Etsy trying to find the “right” patterns but am over making hats. I might just sell the super bulky stuff off lol
Hi Emily, new subscriber here. Great vid, I love how articulate you are in these videos :D I absolutely share your sentiments about the tons of variances to cardigan patterns. I just finished knitting my first ever cardigan last week, I think I spent as much time browsing/pondering over patterns as I did knitting it lol. If anyone here is looking for a simple/classic v-neck cardi with seamless set-in sleeves, I highly rate the Walk the Line pattern by Annamária Ötvös
I love this series! It's always great to see fresh new designs outside my bubble :)
Yay! Which pattern was your favorite?!
Thank you for all the effort and research that goes into your reviews. They are my go to first podcast. Please keep them coming.
What an exquisite collection. You have a good eye.
Love your choices -some were so very different and new designers, too. I loved it and will look at this patterns closer. Thanks, Lynda
I really enjoy how you analyze designs and possible yarn choices. It’s very helpful.
Great video. I think then cigar cardigan was my favorite

I’m so glad these videos resonate with you!
Love these videos. Such a great selection, I especially love the look of the Cottage Cocoon cardigan.
Lovely selection! I really enjoy the designs the you pick. You always offer such a diverse collection. Thanks so much! 🐑
Loved this! You introduced me to some new designers I have to try! Thanks so much!
Very nice selection! Ciao from Hamilton, ON!
Really enjoyed these sneak peeks at unusual Cardi's!
Hi! Just love your pattern reviews. Gives us new ideas, introduces us to designers we are not familiar with. Thorough comments too 🤗 thank you!
You gave me some lovely gift ideas for my mom for her bday or mothers day next year.
That was so much fun, thanks for taking the time to do this 💪🏻🥰
This was a really lovely selection of unique cardigans, thanks a lot!
Wow! Hello, from a fellow lab tech/knitter! I live in Ontario as well. How cool! I love your podcast! you are so well spoken.
Thank you i like the cocoon cardigan! Something with mohair will work for me!
Love the butterfly kimono

That would be such a fun idea! I’d love to dip my toes into curated videos for aesthetics!
Great episode. Love many of these cardis.

I just looked up the Jura and wow does it ever look like a beautiful staple!

Omg I’ve been thinking of another cumulus blouse and that sounds perfect!

That cabled cocoon cardi is so pretty! Idk if I'd ever make it but it's going in my Ravelry faves
II love Lone Kjeldsen pattern!

For cardigans that stay on your shoulders, try Ankestrick or Hinterm Stein

Ouuu bulky and super bulky would be an interesting one for me since I don’t typically knit at those weights!!
