The escalator chase reminded me of horror movies where the victims frantically run away, the murderer just walks a bit faster paced but always seems to be only a few steps behind.
That nonsense always made me really angry as a child. I know, watching a movie about space aliens or monsters requires suspending reality but , come on, the laws of physics generally seem to be applied. The person running for their lives would absolutely put distance between them and the strolling baddie.

I was a mailman for 32 years. My favorite day ever was when I delivered some laundry detergent samples. This one dog ALWAYS tore the mail out of my hand as I put it in the slot. Hearing him sneeze and choke after he ripped open that detergent made me smile for days.

Not real. It's a staged-and-rehearsed video. Kids gotta' get those clicks. Notice how he leans into the headbutt and barely gets tapped. If the dummy head is flexible enough to not break your hand when punched, there's no way getting whacked softly by it would knock someone out. Plus, the fact that the photographer keeps on recording is the dead giveaway. Kudos on faking the "decorticate posture" though.
When I was a young teen, I went with my friend Lance's family to a sporting goods store, I think his little brother needed a cup. Anyway it was me and 3 other boys pretty much running wild through this place while my friend's mom went to ask about cups. We found one of these exact dummies. My friend smacked it and then I went to hit it with a right hook sort of a thing, more just untrained flailing really, but I hit the dummy's face and it was like jello almost. It's super super soft and there doesn't seem to be anything hard inside the head at all. And because I hit with significant force, expecting some resistance, my arm just kept going in the same arc and I punched my friend's brother right in the face. Everyone knew it was an accident when they saw how squishy the head is. That was ages ago so they might make them different these days. But anyway getting hit by a headbutt from one of these dummies is like being gently hit with a pillow.

We used to keep our horses in their paddock with a piece of string with ribbons tied to it. One was terrified of wind, and butterflies. Crows would throw him into a rage.
It's why I don't dare to ride horses. Creatures as easily scared as my budgies, but packed full of muscles with 4 legs for transferring that power into speed. And I'd sit on top of one when they'd get scared because of a butterfly? Sounds like a bad idea to me, but I admire that so many people make it work somehow. 😂 Other than that, I'm amazed at their beauty and the aesthetics of their proportions. I do like them.

It's amazing how animals get imprinted. Captured elephants are held by a simple rope they could easily break, but never do because it's been there since they were little. That horse couldn't get his head around going past a fence that had once been there.
