- Hi Guys, Triple G here with another Borderlands 3 video and today's video i will break down what you could be doing once you have finished the main story and side quests!
PROVING GROUNDS
The first two beacons are located on Pandora. For the Trial of Cunning, head over to The Splinterlands and head to a point near the centre of the map. You’ll find a beacon by finding an item with a yellow exclamation mark above it, so interact with it to unlock the Trial and location.
Once you’ve activated a Trial, you’ll have a quick mission to complete then it’s on to the gauntlet.
There are five more Trials to find, which are:
Trial of Survival - The most western point in Devil’s Razor on Pandora.
Trial of Instinct - In the Floodmoor Basin on Eden-6, beneath the roots on the large tree.
Trial of Fervor - Jakobs Estate on Eden-6, in the most eastern point on the map in the top right corner. There is a large wall to the northeast of this location that you won’t be able to climb, so you’ll need to go the long way around to get to the cave.
Trial of Discipline - For the fifth one, head to the Meridian Outskirts on Promethea and head to the Northeast of the map to find the beacon in a little alcove near the cliff face.
Trial of Supremacy - The final beacon can be found in the north of Desolation’s Edge on Nekrotafeyo.

This end game is some of the most boring unbalanced shitfest I've ever seen. As a moze player I basically just one shot everything while in the mech but everyone else can't effectively kill anything including myself when I'm out of the mech

I recommend turning off the legendary map indicator when farming the shaft. You won't be able to see shit without that

Thanks for making this. As a new player it helped alot. I hit level 60 and jumped straight into the takedowns solo. The maliwan takedown i can solo easy on mayhem 10. The guardian takedown made me smash my controller i made it to the last boss after 3 hours and the game froze on me and had the boss down to less than 10% health

I didn’t even see the left lever my first time around for the takedowns, thanks man! I was struggling badly and blew 12 mil on respawns. As of writing this comment I just beat it first try about 10 minutes ago!

just recently beat bl3 and was wondering where to start and this was extremely helpful. i have one character (trapper fl4k) that i play co-op with friends, we are vibing on mayhem 1 making our way thru the dlc and its been a blast. then i have a solo amara ive been slowly playing and was basically looking at what all content i could do that wasnt [story] dlc, since i wanted to do those with the boys or w/e first time.
honestly my favorite thing to do is kill graveward lmao. but i ran into some trouble with seer for the mysteriouslier dlc or whatever so was wondering if i did anything wrong (not really but sorta since i didnt realize he was a raid boss and i went in there vibing on m1 with underlvled gear LMAO.) i did end up beating him when i took mayhem off which was lovely. anyways, thanks for giving a newbie some direction, even in 2022.
also i just wanna take a moment to say, mayhem is lovely. its so nice to be able to scale things up to my lvl without having to redo the story multiple times. now i can just grind to max then do TVHM for all the quest goodies i want. i also enjoy that i can play on m1 (or even no mayhem) and thats fine and generally chill, but if someone wants more of a challenge, its there. anywho, thanks again.

I know im late but I always come back to BL3 every now and then. I had no idea about proving grounds or even knowing that TVHM was not worth it
Yah I dropped bl3 after the main game when it came out and I just picked it back up cus of a friend buying it on sale!
The only end game content I do is farm story and DLC bosses on M10. I raise characters on another account with the Psychobillies in Ambermire. My Amara can take them all out in a few seconds if Ties That Bind gets them just right.

just started playing this game, do we need dlc to play all this? you got my sub bro been hours looking for a video that makes a player what to do in the end game and you nailed it
There is a reason for true hunter mode.. For you to replay story or replay dlc. Replaying dlc for loot or for fun and I know I'm not the only one to like replaying dlc
yea but most people replay the game several times over anyway for all the VH, so there's no more need after that considering TVHM doesn't do anything for you

1:00 actually, Shiv's dedicated drop doesn't drop on normal mode, so there is 1 reason for TVH

There is one benefit to tvhm I can think of. Quest rewards that aren’t world drops.

We got content but plp are just biased and some are burnedout
6 proving grounds that are amazing (can have better reward tho) and they act as speedrun and build testers FREE
the 3 slaughters are incredible and better than any in the franchise FREE
all dlcs are at least 8.5 out of 10
we got already 3 seasonal events that were for free FREE
2 takedowns (1 is unbalanced tho) with 2 raid bosses FREE
4 vault hunters with at least 5 completely different playstyles (so at least 20 different niches to cover) basically much better than 3 vhs with the average 2 playstyles of other games
Dunno if "free" really counts, I consider them selling points of the main game. Part of the reason I got the game is because my friend told me about the Takedowns.
@@Interrobang212 i put that as free because because plp are comparing things in a really one sided way. For example bl2 had terramorphous and bl3 got all these events and takedownd
1. in terms of testing builds, xp and loot efficency the proving grounds suck compared to
2. the 3 arenas are great, slaughtershaft is best for stresstesting builds, you get tons of loot cuz 50 percent of enemies are elites
3. quality of the dlcs are debatable but they feel longer in terms of playtime than other dlcs in the franchise
4.takedowns had massive problems from the start... crybabies whining about the difficulty, after gearbox nerfed them, people rush maliwan in 8 minutes or less now... loot scaling and lootpools were problems for far too long. and at least bl2 had HARD raidbosses... the takedowns are way too easy, even on true takedown mode.
5. vault hunters : please explain which borderlands game had 3 vault hunters with 2 playstyles? i've played the franchise for 10 years now, i own all of th games and after checking there's no title with only 3 vault hunters... regarding playstyles.. they are limited in bl1 and 2 but 2 builds for each class is a lie unless you only count builds that can kill raidbosses solo, which is not the way bl1 and 2 were supposed to be played. bl3 has pussymode included, everything can be done solo.

DLCs are much better. They're not boring looking like the tourge dlc or scarlet dlc. Their story's are pretty great and have some fun bosses.
Raid bosses in BL3 are easy because we do more damage in BL3 then we do in BL2. They need to give us a new mayhem level.
He was probably saying the vault hunters are limited in their builds in the previous games then BL3. What the hell you mean by pussymode?
wish i'd seen this a few weeks ago. im 65 with 65 M10 weps but im still not understanding why my damage isnt up to par aside from it possibly being my weps still.

did you compared a common legendary loot, like stark krakatoa damage on normal vs tvhm?
Still exactly the same damage ranges whether you drop them on Normal or TVHM
Imagine ever saying you have no reason to play TVHM, you can’t experience true borderlands end game without playing through it.
On console, avoid the matchmaking system if you hate modded guns. Almost everyone uses modded gear, and it's just going to ruin your experience, especially if you want to run legitimately. It may differ on xbox, but I don't even pay real attention to the communities because of the sheer number of modded gear I encounter as requests or actually being used

This is a problem on any game that's multiplayer without anti cheat. And also just joining a modded lobby might mess up your guardian ranks

I'm pretty sure tvhm nets higher damaging weapons and higher XP gain from kills
Nah, pretty sure Joltz and K6 confirmed there is no difference in loot between the modes. TVHM is just a difficulty spike
@@zTxMeta There's no functional difference when mayhem is enabled, but TVHM allows you to use one mode to bookmark certain farming spots while you reconfigure your build or hit different spots on the other mode.
I’m fairly certain that the damage multipliers are changed for elemental weapons. Super effective damage is boosted, whereas non super effective damaged is reduced. For example, armored targets take 2.5x instead of 2.0x damage from corrosive weapons, but also take 0.5x instead of 0.75x from incendiary weapons. This could potentially allow more damage if you utilize damage type matchups. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@@justinnile9000 I think those get applied in normal too once you turn on mayhem. I remember always hearing that mayhem normal mode is functionally the same as TVHM.
theyre more baddasses in tvhm and they have a h9igher chance to drop legendaries over normal mobs

The Kaosen needs to have its nerf removed! It wasn't so overpowered before that it needed nerfing! I'd say it needs its accuracy restored and a damage buff

I thought TVHM increased the likelihood of drops being anointed? I dunno, because I’m always on 65/M10 anymore and every drop is anointed.
They really botched TVHM IMO. Initially Mayhem was supposed to only be accessible after you beat TVHM. Only, for some reason on PC it was accessible after NVHM. So instead of patching PC, they changed console, making TVHM practically meaningless. Whoops. I mean, in BL2....TVHM and UVHM were a big part of the game. Even certain legendary class mods were locked behind UVHM and leveling.
It annoys me that the Slaughterstar3000 drops are still bugged. Upon finishing the Slaughtershaft, there are at least 50 legendaries on the ground. The Maliwan Slaughter though.....maybe 6 or 7? Its a waste of time.

(Im a bloodletter gunner, bottomless mag/demolition woman build, and m10 solo true takedowns are nothing)
Here's to hoping they unload Ultimate Mode on us with new mobs and loot. It's very disappointing that True Mode only makes the mobs harder and does nothing to make the experience different otherwise.
No! Not at fuckin all. I don't wanna have to play the story thrice just to get to endgame. That's one of the few things I absolutely hated about bl2. This game has enough endgame for not even being one year old. Plz gbx don't add any uvhm

If you level more than one VH you play through more than once. Get a grip. If this game is too much for you maybe you could play a nice Chinese mobile game?

I wouldn't have minded playing through the story again if it didn't suck. The story is slow and sloggy and boring. That's why I don't wanna play through it again

The game constantly evolves and you constantly have to farm for new loot, more levels, through more story, some of the best stuff only available on higher Mayhem levels...why the FUCK would it matter if they dropped an Ultimate mode to keep some of the juiciest loot drops for the most dedicated Vault Hunters? I wish they would alter TVHM. There is ZERO point besides the boosted Anointed Enemy spawns. That’s the ONLY difference. Change TVHM to have 50% higher spawn rates for all existing spawns, and 25% more health on top of Mayhem, and then add Mayhem 6 loot pools at any Mayhem level with any Mayhem scaling.
I don't think it's true that TVHM doesn't have a purpose, Isn't TVHM purpose to be able to reset story mode so that you can do all side missions at max level therefore receiving the gun rewards at max level?
You can get all those weapons from the gun gun now dude and vendors

Except the loot in TVHM is more powerful than in Normal. A Monarch from Normal won’t be anywhere near as strong as one gotten in TVHM. So you’re wrong about having no reason to do TVHM.

Guardian Takedown is just not worth it to me. Ran it back to back and got 0 dedicated drops from it. The maliwan takedown is way more fun to me anyways.

I didnt TVHM straight away. Was playing M3 at the time and then just went down to M1 and sped through it in a couple hours so that it's done when its needed
