So, all side quests will be available after completing the story eh? Looks like this will be the first game I do all my side quests after finishing the main game. The ability to turn on Mayhem Mode and then go back to complete everything is such a nice feature.

Yup! In a lot of games doing too many sidequests makes the main story mode way too easy as you end up basically OP. This is a pretty damn interesting mechanic.

you could do the side missions in the first run through and then save them in true vault hunter mode
Nate Fiacco just finished tvhm without doing any side quest and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done 😂
@@So_Civil only do one sidequest. It's not until Eden-6 but it's called Raiders Of The Lost Rack. It gives you a Porcelien Pipe Bomb grenade mode that basically can 1-2 hit any of the bosses if you hit the enemy.

My friend got a legendary weapon from the 2nd brain boss and when he reloads he throws the gun and it turns into a brain with legs that then turns into a turret lol it's awesome and I'm totally farming that boss in mayhem
Ya I also got that in mayhem 3 for beating mega mind, the gun itself isn’t that good but it’s fun throwing the brains

Kind of sad that a single player looter shooter has more endgame content on day one than most other always online looter shooters.
Bl3 is still an online looter shooter. All the looter shooters can be played single player as well
It's great fun. But I have to say the division 2 had an insane amount of content on launch. Not sure if you played it, but you should.

Great advice! I wish I knew about the scaling before i started the game bc I’ve already done about half the side quests and now have a bunch of funny but useless guns
Definitely gonna be finishing all side missions inside of mayhem in my first playthrough and then start true vault hunter mode for some true end game farming! (Also get myself ready for ultimate vault hunter mode)

I feel ya, im 3 story missions away from the end and already lvl 45 from side quests and farming lmao, well at least i have a bunch of lvl 30 legendaries that i wont use :)

Me trying out mayhem mode:
Mayhem mode 1 vs final boss: 2-3 legendaries drop.
Mayhem mode 3 vs final boss: 1 legendary drops
I must say 500% loot quality is really great.
Note: when defeating the final boss with mayhem mode 3 i had +luck w artifacts and guardian rank.

I finished the campaign and this video popped up in my suggest field. I'm SO glad it did! I was about to do True Vault Hunter Mode to level because I didn't realize I could just go in Mayhem 1 mode and start farming that way. Holy crap, I didn't want to do the campaign all over again!
But wouldn't you want to level before you farm so you don't get low level legendaries?

Yeah I farmed the last boss with that particular blue looking grenade and I gained not just lots of levels but heaps of guardian ranks

Yes absolutely! If you liked or loved BL2 then you’ll feel the same about 3. Doubly more because they (Gearbox) went against the grain and didn’t make this a live service

That helped a lot man!! Subbed! Got a question though, just completed my 1st play through, and now I'm on TVHM, do I have to complete this through to the end just to unlock Mayhem Mode? Also, I'm lvl 50, so should I complete just the story again on TVHM then activate Mayhem Mode and then do the side missions? Will that give me better loot? Hope that was understandable, any help would be appreciated!

I miss Badass ranks...It was much more fun doing different and sometimes difficult challenges. It made exploring more interesting and it kept everything (for along time at least) new. Guardian Modes are basically just leveling again, it gets boring very fast. At least there are different modes and things to do, but it seems like a much smaller amount compared to BL2. It just seems (to me at least) that it’s missing something...not sure what but...Oh I hope they do another Bunkers and Badasses like BL2 that was a blast! Oh, and great video by the way!

Lol, I was rushing main story because I wanted to save the side missions for true vault hunter mode, didn't even know about mayhem mode until after I beat the game. Now all my sidequests are at my level :)
Well point of TVHM is that you can do all side missions and the campain again, so no need to save side missions.
At least that's how it was in BL2
In the previous games, the side quests leveled to 35 on first playthrough, 50 on second and were scaled to your level on 3rd playthrough. They adjusted the xp amd level scaling in this game so that's why it's different.

So do i get this right, in BL3 you can replay the Campaign in TVHM but not side missions you already did in the normal campaign?
@@CedricBassman yes, tvhm can also be reset to try and get better versions of the mission rewards as well.

Well this kinda...sucks ass by the sound of it. I have to skip most Sidequests then, rush through the Campaign and save Side Quests for TVHM.
But, from what i hear it's actually advised to finish the Campaign as quickly as possible to unlock Mayhem Mode.

Great video! Although you don't need to complete tvhm before you can apply mayhem to it, I've been doing tvhm mayhem 1 since I got to sanctuary the first time :)

i leveled from my endgame level (34) to max in a little over 1 session on proving grounds mayhem 2

@Ryancentral, you have negative tokens because you earned more levels than you had in the video(67), but some kinda desych lowered your rank when you reloaded the game or changed lobbies or something. But you kept the tokens you spent, causing you to have negative available

I'm hoping... and assuming that the different modes have unique specific legendaries for each. Also wondering if TVHM and UVHM have specific legendaries in them as well? If not, I'm surprised they didn't lean into more reward pools for each different mode as a reason to do the variety of them.
My thing with these games is how is it fun replaying it over and over not just with borderlands I mean destiny 2 division 2 etc

Question. say you have done all the quests in this mode, let's say mh1. and you want to reset the quests. will it bring you back to the beginning booting you out of mh1 or will it keep mayhem up and just regive you all the quests again??
I'm really glad I watched this. I usually like to complete all side quests prior to finishing my first play through. Once you beat the game, are you not able to go through the story mission again, like TVHM, or UVHM?

I'm a bit worried about the last two guardian rank bonuses from the survivor set. Wouldn't they make it near impossible to play a melee build with a roid shield?

I chose the siren which I hate but I finished the game because I was already playing it. I wanna switch characters, must I start from the beginning or can I run the mayhem mode ?
So what’s the difference between Mayhem Mode and TVHM then? They both seem like the next step up after the normal campaign and scales to your level.
Should I go normal, mayhem 1, 2, 3 and then TVHM, then mayhem 1, 2, then 3? Which path has the smoothest difficulty curve?
i got a problem with bl3 as i had in bl2, the weps that drops are lower lvl then me and the weps are unefficient against enemys , i find a wep that works but then lvl up 1 lvl then that wep drops of in dmg so mutch its not usable anymore,
is there a way to scal my lvl and mob lvl and gear lvl to the same lvl so that the weps do the dmg they suppose to?

i just finished the game for the first time, main and all secondary mission... while i see the appeal of mayhem mode (I instantly activated mode 2 and it's fine for my level and weapons) in this moment I don't feel like to start the true vault mode and do again the same quests... I will miss something? any downside?

Noticed I have one with an action skill cool down bonus and so many mods for melee attacks.....

When you spend guardian tokens on a reward on the right hand side, say you put 10 tokens in and unlock the weapon skin, do you lose those tokens? I want to use them on the higher tier rewards but don't know if I should be dumping all of my guardian tokens into one attribute to get that reward on its own.
what is "mayhem gear" is it some higher tier of items?

Does anyone know how to get the circle of slaughter achievement ? I competed the one in the shaft with the cov twice and it still pops up , as long as I complete each one once I should get the achievement or no?
Do take note tho, something I didn't think about or realize until after I beat the final boss, some side missions become unavailable to you once you beat the final boss since that person is no longer around. There were some loot I couldn't get without starting a new char.
when I unlock TVHM for the first time can I put in Mayhem mode on to or do i need to beat the game again on TVHM to unlock mayhem ?
A question literally no one on the internet is answering, are tokens per characters or are they for all characters? Meaning, I have 5 tokens, I redeemed one token with Moze and increased my reload speed by 2%. I load my Zane character, do I find 5 tokens to redeam with 0% reload speed bonus or do I find 4 tokens with 2% reload speed bonus from the token I redeemed as Moze?
How can i start Slaughter or proofing grounds solo? I only can find it on social and then other ppl are able to join. I want to do it on my own (sometimes)
Perhaps I have missed it, but can you gain guardian rank with characters whom haven't beaten the game? I know you have access, I just want to know if that first run opens up the growth throughout
So would normal mode mayhem 3 weapons be the same as tvhm mayhem 3 weapons? Or would I be like normal mode 1-3 then tvhm mayhem 1-3?
Because also if it wasn’t like that then their would be no point for playing tvhm if the mayhem modes are the same and the numbers don’t get any higher 🤨
Ok I've beaten my first normal playthrough and I've rerolled amara for my tvhm playthrough. My only question is I'm super disappointed the mayhem mode didnt carry into my reroll in tvhm. When I beat thvm will I be able to reroll but keep mayhem on and keep the shit I got in the vaults like the ability to crush the iridium and read the puzzle pieces or do you just have to do that after beating the game with that character? I really wanted to do a 100% playthrough world by world from start to finish but if we cant keep the vault stuff in a new reroll it's impossible.

I’m on PS4. Any idea when Gearbox is going to make Mayhem Mode available at the beginning of TVHM? I have to beat the game all over again for the pedestal to reappear.
Currently it seems to be bugged for console players, PC players can activate mayhem at the beginning of their TVHM, while Xbox and PS4 currently cannot.
Jif Yeah, that’s the thing though. I saw a reply from Gearbox on a thread saying that this is not actually a bug, but a feature... Gearbox seems to be intentionally dodging this issue. An absurd choice for such a massive problem. As a console player, I’m extremely let down by BL3 so far. It is clearly a game built around endgame features, yet on console, the endgame is irrefutably broken. And Gearbox has abandoned the primary issue.
Honestly at this point, I want my money back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the vault hunter relic in BL2 essentially do what the luck stat does in BL3? And if so, then isn't the effect practically negligible since it's lowering the chance of getting worse loot by something like a fraction of a percent? For example, I've got a legendary relic, loaded dice, that "substantially increases luck", and it's not doing shit because RNG just isn't affected that much by luck. Thoughts?
if im not mistaken, luck affects the drop rates of rares (blues) only. could be wrong
Is there a cap to these trees or you can level them up indefinitely?
I think a way to enjoy the game more is to beat in in normal then go ahead and put it in mayhem and get to max level before going into tvhm so you get max level gear from side quest
