    This has been our family car for the last 11 years, we now have 345K kms on it and I have a feeling there is some play with the lower ball joints. This video was quite helpful :)

      I'd say f*ckin important. Im watching this in tears.... 😢 2 hours ago I saw my wheel flying across the road with the calipers n pads and cv joint still attached, after a sudden super bumpy ride where im very sure i bumped 2x higher than my truck's height & then straight to the asphalt. Thn lookin out of the window i saw d other sedan passenger watching in horror. Not just her but everyone who witnessed. I bet in the comin morning all these horrified souls r gonna get their lbj checked. But honestly i guess it has a thing to do with the tie rod ends too. Really2 loosening & soft, mouldable like clay......but it is still metal of course. Gotta replace tht brake fluid line too. Broken and was ooozing out red steering fluid..
      😔😔😢😢I think I've just broke my car. Im gettin a welding set!! And more iron later!

    I just bought a 90 series’s diesel in America and I can’t find a lot of the exterior stuff you have, what bumpers are you running and what’s your tire and wheel specs, suspension specs if you feel like being helpful too ???

    • @bushandbeachaustralia
      @bushandbeachaustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel, front bar is an outback accessories xrox bar. Rear bar is one I fabricated myself. Roof rack is an arb deluxe aluminium rack. Tyres are 265x75xr16, 16x8 0 offset allied black thunder rims. Suspension is 2 inch lifted long travel bilsteins. Front Springs = 2 inch lifted hd and rear springs = 80 series std height front springs (which give around a 3 inch lift depending on weight you have)

    • @bushandbeachaustralia
      @bushandbeachaustralia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No worries 😉. Good question mate. The uppers last longer due to the design being different but if they fail it’s similar to the lower ball joint failing. The dust covers on my uppers are perished and starting to crack. I’ll be looking at replacing mine soon.

      Hi Daniel, I’m not familiar with those joints. The general consensus amongst the forum’s is that genuine LBJs are the best. Lots of people run 33s but the bigger the tyre the more stress on components so keep that in mind. Thanks mate

      Bush and Beach Australia all good mate. I’ve been on the mighty 90 page since I got the prado back in about 2007. It definitely needs to find those lost horses. So cracked head replaced with an AMC HEAD. Injectors all done and cooling system sorted. Boost controller arrives today and 3 bar map sensor arrived yesterday. I grabbed an 8” fan for the intercooler. What’s the easiest way to get to the turbo? Remove air intake and heat shield and come in from above or below?
