Candy girl even passed michael jackson song "beat it" on the charts as the number 1 single at one point. Actually, the Apollo used to make audience stay seated for certain performances. They did it to keep camera from being blocked. Also, some artists had that rule in their contract, when they performed there, too. I only learned about it from a guy who spoke at my college about TV production/ contracts. He mentioned working at the Apollo for 20 years and all his experiences, there. Anyway, I do understand what you're saying though
This is my first time seeing this performance. But it reminds me of why I fell for New Edition in the first place. Ralph singing live, while him and the others are dancing their tails off and not missing a beat. And they're still singing and dancing 35+ years later. Bravo New Edition.
