I'm about to have to change mine again, never noticed the Mobil oil I used had friction modifier added in. I'm just gonna use 9$ stp but I'm still gonna have to bring in the torco modifier

@@evsnova74 that sucks, but it’s good that you know how to fix it. I’d be lost. Like I am with this transmission. It makes all kinds of clunking sounds here and there. Ever since I manual swapped it there’s been issues. But its funner to drive.

@@beronib888 sounds good! @@bought2build , well, did you wipe away a glob of grey goo from the tip of either plug? If not then it would seem the stock plugs ( you would only need a magnetic drain, not filler) are not magnetic. I'll be ordering a magnetic before I change my CTS-V out.

My owners manual says that the transmission is full when fluid comes out of the hole for the reverse light switch, but it didnt look like you had any fluid dripping out after the 4.6qts. Is it wrong to fill it until fluid drips out? I flushed my fluid last week and refilled it until it dripped out and im curious if its safe to run like that or if i need to flush it again and measure out 4.6qts when i refill it. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, great video and nice goat!
I would drain it and put 4.6 quarts in! the instruction manual is incorrect they had a issue with that! I use the reverse hole to fill it from and I put 4.6 quarts in there is another fill hole location on the transmission and that is where you can check it and it should weep from but depending on the angle you fill it on and how you have the car jacked up etc that hole can cause you to under or over fill the transmission so what I would do is drain the transmission and fill it using the reverse hole and put 4.6 quarts in I would also measure what comes out. If you filled it until it was seeping out of the reverse hole I would guess it has 6ish or More quarts in it If you go on Google they have a bunch of discussions on this subject as well but I would do what i mentioned and use 4.6 quarts Good luck! And thank you for the support 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍👍
@bought2build so I redid the fluid change, measuring out 4.6 qts and pumping it into the hole for the reverse sensor, and now it is leaking fluid. I checked the drain plug and the reverse sensor, nothing leaking from there. I found fluid up inside the white shift boot which made me check the output shaft seal, but no leaks coming from the seal. I can't actually find any fluid on the outside of the transmission, but there is fluid on everything around the transmission. I'm hoping you can help me out. Thanks in advance!
