Personally, I’d much prefer the quartz version. I don’t think the logo of “hunter” text on it is out of place on the sand dial. From a practical standpoint, many watch people say they want a mechanical watch, but most of the, actually just want a mechanical watch whose movement they will treat like any battery.
An automatic isn't usually quite as accurate as a quartz but the battery never runs out on you at an Inconvenient time. Thats why I nearly always use an auto or a hand wind.
IMHO the previous logo/font was better and I felt that it made an interesting combo for a GADA watch (even if there is no lume I think it's a very good GADA watch on a budget). I also prefer the automatic version with the white dial (and btw, the atumatics don't include the Deepsea Hunter text on dial, just the scuba logo). Great unboxing, thanks.
To me this is an awesome timepiece . I have three , the sand , white and light blue . Keeps time just fine , looks expensive on my wrist and I like it just fine ! Great review !
I have the 36mm version and prefer the dimensions, quartz, no date and logo of that watch. If they add a color matching date wheel and change the logo I may consider it, but for now I am happy with the original.
A vast improvement but a shame they don't make it in a smaller size. The Escapement Time King Seiko homages come in both a larger and smaller size. I bought the smaller size and it fits perfectly on an Uncle Seiko 18 mm Jubilee bracelet. They need to do this.
Thanks for the video, I didn't notice differences between quartz and automatic versions on my own, and was about to buy battery version when I saw this in the recommended section. Now that I see them I much prefer the upgraded design and bought it
THEY LISTENED TO FEEDBACK! Wow to me that’s awesome! Just sold my original Quartz it was a cheap deal and a gorgeous watch but didn’t really wear it. I fed back the issues the same as others and can’t believe the result. Might just have to pick this one up again
I ordered the previous version in white and sand earlier this week for £33 before tax. My heart sank when I started watching the video. TBF: by the end, I’m still happy with the older one as this looks too thick. I prefer the bracelet tho
$97 shipped to the USA from the Addhiesdive website. Absolutely crazy for the quality of these. Now if only the San Martin desert white one wasn't $250+ but honestly thats cheap for that one's quality too.
I much pefer the quartz version. Mainly because of the size but also because I rather want a Quartz watch at this price point. And that mecaquartz movement with the smother tick of the seconds hand is really cool I think. Further i don't really like jubilee bracelet and much prefer the oyster style bracelet. Finally I also think the flat sapphire on the automatic model looks cheaper than the domed mineral on the quartz model.
I don't like the flat crystal but at least it's sapphire. I was one of the people who complained about the logo / branding on the dial but after seeing this watch I can't help but feel the dial looks blank or empty without at least a logo. Why didn't they make these changes to their smaller more popular VH31 model?
I agree about the logo this looks much better imo. I have there green sector dial that I believe uses this same case and I don’t remember the bracelet as I stuck it on a horsemen leather strap as soon as I got it and I love that watch it’s a great beater. It’s the ad2055
I have a larger sized wrist but maybe because I like vintage watches the 36mm doesn't bother me much, I would like to see these on leather watch straps. I think that it would look good with that dune dial. I would want it to be a fun watch vs a dress watch, i have much pricier dress watches, I just really like that dial- I put them both in my cart and we will see what the price is or the deals available on June 1
I personally much prefer the old logo and text to this. I really detest generic script fonts like this one and the San Martin. I'm glad I have my quartz one.
Certainly better than the previous version with the tacky scuba gear logo, but their brand name just isn't great to begin with so no text at all would be better.
I disagree that the script logo is an improvement. Also, while the 39mm case isn't bad, I would have preferred a 36mm case like the VH31 version. Tandorio has this same dial in 36mm or 39mm, with sterile dial options, sapphire, the choice of NH35 or PT5000 movements, but only 5ATM WR.
@@casteltheghettomonk4392 Tandorio usually has very good build quality for the price, but their water resistance has been spotty. Tandorio's first watches had better ffinishing than Steeldive, but their lume was weaker. I Like Watches also pressure tested a Tandorio diver, and it failed at 6 ATM. Basically, they are a great deal for a business or dress watch, but don't submerge one.
I almost didnt because of it, but trust me, its not a big of a deal - primary on the sand color, because of the low contrast. We always see the watches on TH-cam via macro lens, but in reality the logo and the writing its realy small and thin. I think i prefer the old one because of a sum of factors: thinner, lighter, smaller, seiko quartz vh31 (practical), and cheaper with the same "vibe" overall. Specially here in brazil, any products over $50,00 double de price (for real, sad), so the older one was almost perfect for me. Of course, the logo and writing could be better, but the new one its far for perfect too. Anyway, both are great in its own ways 😅
@@coelhorochafernando well .... I know that is not the best value, but I bought the new one after posting my comment. I paid 103 euros. Greetings from Greece!
The gentleman talking sounds like he would give great advice on grooming while maintaining a beautiful mane of shiny, bouncy hair to kill for. Lucky bastard.
That is one perfect sand dial! I want a watch with that exact dial, but not this watch 😂. For such a premium looking dial, watch around it looks too cheap and generic. Not bashing it, still great value, but I would appreciate a touch of "premiumness" even if price goes up a bit.
So something that has the sole purpose of displaying the time is "perfected" by the fitment of a grossly inaccurate NH35 movement in place of the VERY accurate mecaquartz..... -20/+40sec PER DAY was a crap standard 40 years ago for christs sake. To top it all off the price has doubled. (that means twice the price for no accuracy if you are hard of thinking) Is this love of autos a millennial thing? Coz it makes NO sense at all
If all us watch freaks thought a timepc sole mission in life was to be accurate? we’d all be wearing pos timex or Casio stuff. I bet u drive a Camry too😂😂🎉
Watches don't have the sole purpose of displaying the time to a lot of people. If they did then everyone would just own cheap digital watches, because that would be the best way to tell time accurately for minimal price. To most people watches are an accessory, they are about looking good and more importantly, feeling good. Automatics (in my opinion) feel more real, and so they buy them over quartz.

The new logo is not doing so well on this type of dial in my opinion. In a way I feel like this watch looks cheap compared to the older model (you all know which) and not really finding its identity. Almost like its trying to please everyone and end up loosing its identity in the process.

Can we change the strap?
I think the other logo is better suited to dive watches, and i like this logo on this particular watch much better. Cheers Ben
i still struggle with the text and logo, would love this one in white but something is still off for me
Tandorio has sterile versions, 36mm or 39mm, NH35A 0r PT5000
Can you try Calithe watches ?
They need to do a dark dial, dark green/grey etc. I'd get one in a heartbeat
Why they didn’t just stick either the quartz movement into this or put this dial & glass in the quartz version I’ll never understand
this guy has the same voice as Ben from BWC
same dude
I would love a 3link bracelet with it
beautiful watch ... like the specs, the dial could still use a lil work to make it look nicer like a sunburst type of dial
There are a thousand sunburst dial watches. The sand dial is the unique aspect of this watch and you want to change it?
Certainly better than the previous version with the tacky scuba gear logo, but their brand name just isn't great to begin with so no text at all would be better.

"Perfected" would be having an auto with the thickness of the mecha-quartz. Maybe a dollop of sapphire too.
Beautiful Dial .. i Love it.
the top of the dial is always in shadow because it is so recessed
