As a former competitive diver, I am honestly so jealous of the facilities and care being put into this. My coach forced me to do things I wasn't comfortable or ready to do with no kind of bubbler system. The amount of injuries I got was insane! I’m so sorry they put you through that. The number one thing I’ve found that leads me to success in anything I try is trust. Being willing to let go of my need for control and trust that if I relax and let my teacher guide me that I’ll be safe. Having that trust violated is the worst thing that can happen as a student. I hope that experience hasn’t kept you from trusting other mentors in your life. *hugs*

Yeah I had the same experience with my already pretty bad fear of heights and the fact that I had just learned to properly swim less than a week from that, they had us try it once, half explained because they also had their group that had been there for a while expected us to be able to do it, I only lasted a month because my panic attacks where getting extremely bad because of it but I wish I had someone to actually teach me because I know I would have loved it with the right teachers 😔

At the same time I can’t help but feel this wave of overwhelming sadness because of all the fond memories related to this channel that I very much cherish. I’m in no place to tell people what the proper way to react to this is, all I know is that most people cheat (that’s factual) and while there’s no real valid excuse for that, everyone is judging him very harshly and that’s what happens when you don’t view “famous” people in the same category as normal human beings with faults and end up holding them in higher regard.
