That’s a great question! As far as I remember I’ve knitted a lot when I’ve just casted it on. Like back part in 1 evening, front part the next day. And so on. I was trying to show it on the video too, I was filming it like once per 2-3 days depending on the progress I made.
I think it's because the stitch pattern resembles stormy clouds and rain, and the original design by petiteknit was in a light gray color. That's my best guess!
They was my point! It may be recycled but the harm to the poor animals was already done. My attitude is why not steer away from cashmere, we don’t really need it when there are so many other lovely yarns on the market that don’t involve cruelty! Down with cashmere I say 👎
@@ninlh.8950 If you read up on the internet about cashmere goats you will find that the pain and cruelty caused to the animals is appalling. What is wrong with using wool? I would never use any yarn that causes such terrible pain and cruelty and a lot of the time death!
If you look in the description for the yarn used, the website says that all of the cashmere in the yarn in recycled. While that doesn't guarantee that the goats were not harmed in the original harvest, the brand she bought from is only reusing previously harvested fibers. Her purchase of this yarn did not contribute to animal cruelty, and it helped reduce the amount of fabric waste in the world.
Your Storm Sweater looks amazing! I really like the stitch definition.
thanks a lot! I like it so much too 😍
You’re a fast knitter! It looks beautiful
I just wanted to wear it before the warm weather arrives 😄
You did so well knitting this beautiful sweater in 10 days, I would take me 10 months.
The main thing is to enjoy the process. It’s just so addictive that I couldn’t stop 😃
I'm starting my storm sweater now - how much time did you spend knitting each evening? Thank you!

I do love oversize look of this sweater, why it is called storm ? is it so warm ?
Probably yes, as it’s made with DK weight yarn😌
Pattern designers love a dramatic name

Don’t you feel guilty using cashmere yarn when it’s so painful for the animal getting the fleece?
Hate cruelty to animals so bad!
thanks for pointing this out for me. I didn't know about it but I will look for more details about the yarn production.
What should she use then? This yarn is at least environmentally friendly.
