    The air suspension replacement estimate is overestimated. I don’t think this guy has done his homework. The air struts are $373/corner. The compressor is $518. The ride height sensors are $135/corner. That’s $2550 total. All of that is something the average DIY guy can do in a weekend. The programming (calibration) can be done at an indie shop for about an hour’s labor.

      @robbennett 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And most of the compressors just need a 30 dollar decanter bead replacement. I did mine last month.

    Great video. I love how these older Range Rovers looks. They have soo much better classy look than the newer Range Rovers / Jaguars that looks like a Rav4s.

      100% agree! I owned a 2007 RR Sport and a 2012 RR. The gigantic windows made a Range Rover a Range Rover. I have restores a 200Range Rover P38. You can almost see the shorts I'm wearing when I'm driving the P38. The new 22 Range Rover looks like a minivan on 22's to me. I keep expecting it to have a sliding door.

    Owner of a full size 2012 range rover - not much beats these vehicles.
    The 20 inch wheels on this I'm pretty sure are from a newer range rover.
    Maintenance will be a little more than any other vehicle but not the worst. The newer versions with the 5.0 motor are the ones to get. Besides fixing the timing chain issue they seem to be more reliable.

    My wife has had a 2006 HSE for 4 years...changed out the horrible air suspension for coils w/2" lift, added 18" LR3 wheels and Duratracks, and it has been a really good vehicle. I'm shocked, actually!

    The reason why they're depreciating is that Range Rover, Land Rover and Jaguar (because the engine is a Jaguar engine) have been historically known for very poor reliability and expensive repairs. Unfortunately there were not a lot of SUVs that combined luxury, good looks, a somewhat sporty driving and excellent reliability at the time.

      Reliable ones do exist, it’s just most of the good engines weren’t in the US. For the US market the only reliable option is the 2007-2009 4.4 V8 models (and the 4.2 Supercharged at a push).

    Land Rovers are notoriously unreliable and expensive to repair. You couldn't ask for a worse scenario with a vehicle. That's why the value sinks like a ship. Factor in atrocious gas mileage and a premium gas requirement and you're throwing so much money away to get from point A to point B.
