Giving you an insight into all things BADMINTON! - กีฬา
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I played this morning and, just like you said, found out that I don't hold my arm/racquet high enough when in the mid-court. Consciously focused on doing this, and WHAT a difference in my speed/accuracy/reaction times!! Instantaneous results and my usual opponents were left scratching their heads 😅 Thank you so much - I'll keep focusing on this until it becomes second nature 👍
Ah, that's amazing to hear! So glad we could help Tom 😄 Keep it up!!
Every single one of your videos are FANTASTIC! I have no problem saying that I love both of you! Thank you for sharing your superb skills and knowledge with us!
Thank you so much! 😆💥🏸
So so so useful! A huge thank you to you both for continuing to provide these incredible videos for us!!
This video is fantastic, I love the explanations and nuances you provided - you can't pick those up just from watching matches - thank you! 😊🌟
The channel that just keeps on giving !! So much easy to absorb information, Smashed It !!👍😃
This reinforced what I knew but wasn't doing it as I was playing too casually and this video made me concentrate more on doing it and it has made a noticeable improvement to my game.
So glad to hear that Daniel!!
These are some solid battle-tested experiences! Definitely "insight," and not just general tips like "just don't make mistakes."!
A very useful tip indeed. I also did this racket up thing right after i do a low serve to immediately attack weak net drop returns or mid court low lifts. Keep up the good work.👍👍👏👏
Great videos Greg and Jenny! I love all of them and they are so informative and improve our badminton! Can you guys do a specific video regarding recovery after each shot? And also how to breath while playing badminton? I always suffer from getting my breath under control after a tight rally! Thanks :*
I was really waiting for this ♥️♥️
Hope you enjoyed it!
Fantastic videos, keep up the great work... Leant so much from you guys... Thank You
Thank you Raymond, we will try 😃
This is exactly what my coach is teaching us for years now - and half of the gang in our club usually forgets during matches. Will link your excellent video to all of them as a reminder!
Great to hear that! And thank you 😀
One of the most helpful tips for doubles!!! Been waiting for this part .. thank you 👍👍
Glad it was helpful! :)
This is the best badminton channel on TH-cam!! Thanks for the tips
Thank you so much Ankith 😊
Great video. Love the advice about training rapid movement whilst keeping a relaxed stroke. I’ll have a go at my next session 👍🏻
ur videos help so much.. thanks alot guys
Amazing to hear! Thank you :)
Very useful, thank you!
You're very welcome! 😃

We will! Thanks :)
I'm a new subscriber and found all your videos in sync with what my coach has been teaching me. Logical and science based. Where have you been all my novice life? When I was still looking for badminton videos around the web ?
Haha we only started just over a year ago! Glad you're enjoying the videos 😃
Amazing!!!
Thank u guys as all ways with wonderfull tips🔥🙏
You're very welcome 😃
You two and the Adcocks are my favorite mixed d players...thanks for your very informative contents!!!
Haha thanks a lot! They have retired now so guess that makes us your favourite 😂
Thank you for the video. Enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Your videos have been very useful as everyone here have said, but I also have been having great laughs picking up on the little jokes in every video 😂😂
Will start trying this from today’s match onwards. Really feels it works, rather keeping rackets in defence position as I do.
You guyz are amazing ❤️
Thanks 😀
Nice video guys. U guys are awesome
Thank you so much 😁
Very nice guys, more needed like this very underrated knowledge
Much appreciated! 🤗
Really needed this
Thnk u
You're welcome 😄
LOVE U GUYS
Good information as always. Although this may seem simple, I always have to keep reinforcing this with my athletes, especially the juniors.
Thank you very much Christopher! Yes very simple but not done enough amongst a lot of players!
The best part of the video is Jenny explaining how to hold the racket and pressing the subscribe buttons :D
Thank you. I think I tend to relax my arm from the muscle tension of the shots played before. This reinforcement helps.
2:22 Ellis seems to have his racket down in mid court(??)
u guys are amazing...loads love from india!!!
This is a great insight on hacks and it also helps me understand my teammate better! You guys deserve 1 mil subs!
Thank you so much 😄
Great video, I am a coach of middle and high school teams. Love all your videos as I use for coaching tips. Can you make a top drills for beginner video?
Great tips, thank you. "Feel the shuttle, grasshopper." As an intermediate player, when spontaneously coaching beginners or long-term players with beginners' techniques, often the first tip I give is "to make the racquet available" to receive the shuttle ASAP. 80% of beginners struggle with this, and I don't remind them except to pointedly waggle my racquet at shoulder height.
Thanks!
Wow thank you so much for your Super Thanks Jay! It means a lot :)
Love ur channel and keep up your work. Good luck guys for ur future endeavours 👍👍
this comment is 2 hour ago but the video is 1 hour ago?
Thank you so much Lokesh 😆
Love your videos
Thank you! :)
Never knew there were hacks. Thank you for another great video!
Glad you liked the video! 😄
Thank you for explaining this shot
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well, you're right. I didn't think I am one of those who don't put their racket up in anticipation of the shuttle but I recorded myself and saw it.
This was an essential bit!
Haha good work recording yourself! Glad it has helped 😃
Awesome 👏
Thanks 🤗
Alright, alright, I subscribed now!
Woop! Thanks for the sub 😄
Only just seen this video. Sorry. But so glad i have. Played last night and tried to play some of your shots you have just shown. Some went ok but could of been better. But now thats realy given me the chance to improve on them shots. Great video as always. Ps whens your next tournament on tv?. Watching the team round robin matches...tough for the youngsters playing . But will gain good experience bless them.
Thanks Keith! Keep practicing them and they will get better 😁 We’re on our way to the airport now, to Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia Masters is the first 😁
I love your videos. Hope that our beloved mix-double pair (Hong Kong) can kick start sth like your channel!
Haha, thanks Felix!
Definitely Great video ....best part telling about how to like & subscribe😂, but surely learned an important point for my game..thanks..keep it up👍
Love your channel. love you guys. love from Nepal ♥️
Thank you so much!
Pretty sure this is what I've been doing wrong the entire time 😅 My arm position always resembles that of Kevin's, but my reaction speed isn't of lightning speed like Kevin's. I always worry that there will be a quick smash to the mid court. Thank you for the clear explanation! Keep uploading great tutorials! Subscribed!
Haha you’re very welcome, glad it helped! We have another video coming next Sunday on this subject that will also hopefully help you 😀
Like and Subscribe smashed ❤️❤️! I am new to your channel. I am loving your videos. Very informative and very well made. Wish you all the best.
Thank you so much Rohit! 😄🏸
I love ur content,❤️.Sometimes I play well and sometimes I play bad,how to be consistent in performing?,waiting for ur reply🥺
I tried it and yes it boosted my shots a lot
That’s great to hear 😄
Awesome
Awesomeeeeere....... 💕
Thanks 🤗
Awesome vid, could you do a video on what cardio training a professional badminton player does?
With minimal equipment or no equipment
@@zeerak500 Suicides. 🤔😏

Useful and informative video. I liked the fact that it covered the basics which many of us struggle with. Doubt if the advanced players watch such videos for training. Also request a video on forehand clear - 3rd court to 3rd court. I don't think it has been covered previously.
Thank you! We think the video would also be helpful to advanced players! We will add it to the list!
th-cam.com/video/xRv1JLg4NMM/w-d-xo.html
Thanks guys now Im playing at better level just need to know to put smash at time when the opponent is strong enough....☺️
Bagay shila. Kilig yern! 🥰
Having watched a few of these videos, they're very good. If any criticism, I'd say that there's a slight tendency towards idealism, meaning that specific execution patterns are taught as rules rather than examples, whereas in fact they'd be more open to variance within wider badminton coaching. I'd like to hear more the words "this is one good way", cos the videos take the rational instead of authoritative approach the latter of which is maybe often more typical to coaching.
Thanks for the advice! We try to only guide people to principles and best practice and are well aware there's never just 1 'absolute right way' of doing something!
hahahahha....... what an amazing way to ask someone to like. And yes video was very informative and skill improving. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Haha glad you thought so! Thank you 😀
Sir please can u tell me ,which model racket u all using .please let me know.
Thanks for great tips coaching.

Thank you! 👍🏼
Hi could you make a video about how to set up a net
good
That's lauren Smith in the clip at 2:30
0:50 What's the neutral grip? Another name for the bevel grip? Or it's a grip between the forehand grip and bevel grip?
Mam I was going to subscribe and like the video with my racket hand under 10 sec while training but then OOps my phone droped then I got slashes of stick on that hand. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Totally imaginary don't get serious 🤣
Love the channel. ❤️
It can clearly make you from beginner to low intermediate if you have watched all videos.
Haha, thanks Shivang 😄
Can you do a video of how to tie the badminton shoes? I always have to re-tie at the middle of the match :d
have u made any vid about generating power on the backhand (as my shots dont even cross the net)
pls make a vid if u havent or give me te link to that vid, plzzz. I really need to increase power in backhand shot.
Please make a video on how to dominate the front court
Plz make this video for singles also
Hello, thanks so much for this video. Would you mind clarifying a detail for me. In the video on double defence, the ready position is with a backhand grip. And here, you advise to keep the racket up and the position seems higher to me. Is it the same position or not? Do we need to switch from one to the other ? Thanks from Belgium
Yes you need to switch from one to the other depending on where your opponent is hitting their shot from! If they are taking it above the height of the net then you would be in a defensive position and if they are taking it below the height of the net you would be in this position shown! Hope that helps 😃
@@BadmintonInsight thank you, that’s incredibly helpful. ^_^
when i play doubles, one of my friends is really fast player. when he return serves, he pushes the shuttle to the body really fast. even though i cover it and be ready with the racket forward and out infront of me, he comes forward and finishes it in his 2nd shot. it would be a really big favour if you could give me a solution to overcome this situation.
Very fruitful.. for who playes who always stand at mid court..
what racket greg use in this video
How much minutes we can do these mid court drill. ? To improve mid court drives and push
Can u make a video on how to change your grips quickly? For eg: opponent smashes but I am holding my racket in forehand grip, so how do I switch my grip from forehand to backhand quickly? So I can defend the smash?
They did make one actually, find it mate
Here it is 😜 th-cam.com/video/Z4f5G3mPqTM/w-d-xo.html
Is there a rule for where I should be looking when you cut away to actual gameplay footage? For example, are you always referencing the couple in the back or the front of my view? I don't know players by face or name so when you say, "...there will always be people like Kevin Sukamuljo" at 4:49 and then cut to gameplay footage, I don't know where to look. I'm new to badminton so I can't always tell from watching the footage (plus it's sometimes hella fast) to see who you're referring to. Maybe a circle around the person we should be focusing on or an arrow pointing at them would be a big help! Thanks!
Quick question. Why do tennis players "kick" their racket leg backwards when doing a serve? While badminton players kick their racket legs forward when doing a smash. I understand for badminton, this allows more rotation for more power. Ik that tennis serve and bd smash are different techniques, but just curious. I dont know much about tennis, can you explain?
Great video as always. But have a question. When you are in mid court in doubles, most of the time, you are in a defensive position. 80% of the time, you expect a smash, a clear or a drop coming back. While this stance might be useful for a drive/push, I dont know how effective it will be against a smash. It will take some effort to defend it. So, this stance is useful when you are doing a drive and expect a drive back, and if you are lifting, racket nearly touching the ground might be better?
If you are most of the time in defensive position, you probably aren't playing good serve / serve reply and thus ending in defensive position mostly. They are talking about situation when neither side is attacking defending but is 50/50 and playing drives/ soft flat shots. If you end up in defense you need to work on first three shots: serve, serve reply, third shot, to not end up in defense most of the time.
Yes, Martin is right. We are talking about when your opponent is hitting the shuttle from below the height of the net, as mentioned in the video! When you are in defence that is a different stance which we have done more videos on. Hope that helps 😃
Are you able to tell me what kind of grip you use for a Backhand Cross Court softer Drive that you showed here this video at around the 2:50 mark ?
Somewhere in between a backhand grip and bevel grip probably! 😋
@@BadmintonInsight thank you !

Yes! Maybe a tutorial to come on this, as it can be a great shot!
