- Here's a cool old classic you never see anymore, about a 429 Thunderjet 4V 1970 Ford Thunderbird?! What a cool mixture of 1970s styling, beautiful interior, 5 ash trays for all to enjoy, a 429 shoved under the awkwardly massive good, and easily one of the best looking rear ends of the era.
This particular car is an amazing example of the type, front to back top to bottom is is absolutely beautiful. Our task today is to get it tracking and driving correctly, so the customer can get it on the road. Off to the Hunter Alignment rack! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
My neighbor had one growing up when I was a teenager. Her Dad fixed it up with her. Power everything and with 429 inches of Ford big block power. She drove it to school her last two years of highschool. Ironically I had a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 same color as her bird, midnight blue and loaded with every available option. Great attention to detail as always. Getting this fine old example of Detroit engineering driving the way it should.
What a GORGEOUS car !!!!
It really is! Stunning unique machine we were very happy to lend a hand on!
Sweet bird, thanks for sharing this with all of us, looking forward to more ford's in the future!!
Wow, we had a 70 Thunderbird just like that one. Same color and top. Dad would fill her up with ethyl and it would really move. It did awesome burnouts and would pin you to the seat for such a big ole girl. That 429 would run. Great to see this ole bird. I loved the taillights and the nose was like a big beak.
Magnificent ride
The bird is great
I have a 70 funderbird. I love it😊
I drove my dads to school in 1975 for prom it was like new but dang that car is clean .
A really clean T-Bird. Thanks Rich for sharing this car. 💯👊👍💕
Sharp & it looks like somebody really did a great job fixing & resto-modding this usually neglected era T-Bird. This is the kind of stuff I do to cars I have...start with a good base and improve
Beautiful Bird! And I think I recognize that maroon truck in the lot... 🤣
Better than New... except the wheels, thunder jet 🇺🇲
The chrome and color matched caps are in the trunk.
@@richardlucore6813 just need the redline wide ovals to go with it...
Gorgeous old 'bird! Just stunning.
And great attention to detail on the alignment.
Damn that is in beautiful condition
Cool, haven't seen one of these in ages!
wowwwwwwww
That looks brand new, just damn!
Had a very beautiful 4dr '68 T-Bird with a rebuilt 429 in the same color. Too bad my late dad blew up the engine.
That is a time capsule.
I took my 68 Impalla to a shop many years ago for an allignment and the first thing they told me after 15 minutes was that the front end was shot and needed everything? Funny thing is that I had just spent the last week replacing almost everything including all of the bushings and every tie rod end and pitman arm. I told them in the office that I was the mechanic who did work and that if I could have done the allignment I would have. I went to another shop...
Sounds like that shop found an opportunity instead of a customer. You handled that well by leaving.
Rich, I like to see the attention to detail with the technical side through the adjustments and why you adjust them that way.
Your alignments are not done in the cookie-cutter tire shop way . Such a cool car to see up close...
Is it for sale ?
Never cared for Blunderturds but that is a very nice example of Ford styling for that era, and a big block at that. Try not to have an organism Rich....
Thats the only engine available from 68 to 71
SWEET BIRD, BUT ALL THAT GREEN🤢
