I lived in Lambertsbaai 50 years ago and always wanted to go back - but having seen this video I don't recognise anything at all about my favourite place on earth --- they say you should never go back, so I don't think I will now. Before we had our house we spent two months in The Marine Hotel run by Mr and Mdme Rousseau -- it was a tiny tiny village with nothing to do and nowhere to go. Many many happy memories, but I won't be going back. Thank you for posting this video x

Looks like a decent place to spend a few relaxing days, nice walks on the beach, plenty of braai 😍 some grassroots rugby and an artisan souvenir from oom Andres 👌

Fantastic. It would be nice though at the beginning of the video to show the place where it is situated on the map and distance from CT etc. We then have an idea where it situated. I also watch Dustbugs a show simular to yours and it has a whereabouts of the place. Yes it would be nice to have it . Thanks

Interesting question and there is no single answer, as South Africa has one of the highest Gini coefficients in the world (inequality) which means a huge difference in living standards for different segments of society. Having said that, compared to the UK, day-to-day items such as food is cheaper and alcohol is a lot cheaper. Luxury items such as electronics can be (and I think generally are) more expensive due to a lack of supply and logistics issues. South Africa is blessed with amazing weather but also have to contend with below par / poor public services and electricity supply.

Grew up on the west coast,only been to Lamberts once recently and fell in love! Awesome place to surf as well.
