However, well-trained eye can catch the hems done with precision, the mesmerizing cuts and volumes, the prints influenced by art, which make the clothes wearable but not so easily accessible.
People should really understand that these collections serve as a kind of bravura display of skill, if you purchase something you’re consulted on reworking it to suit you best, they’re rarely copies of what you’ll see here. And the few that are sold don’t appear in places where the average enthusiast gets to see them. Also if you’re at all familiar with Klimt or the art of cutting fabric, this collection is hardly representative of any sort of fall from creative grace. They’re staggering.

couture is an art form and can express lots and lots of creativity and imagination, so if you wanna see regular, street-wearable couture, go watch chanel or fendi shows.
That a pretty redundant statement. All clothing is basically a costume. We are all dressing up to fit some sort of stereotype of who we think we are. What you wear to church is very different than what you wear to school, the store, the gym, the club etc. they’re all costumes!
When you purchase these gowns you basically choose what you want from them, they’re designed to suit you. Think of them as samplers of their skills. Haute couture is only really understood by the people who either buy it, or make it.
