I would suggest buying a map switch if you plan on going back and forth, that’s a pain removing everything just to flip a switch. I have a 2019 300xc-w and when I changed the mapping to the 2 position it ran like crap so I ended up replacing the stock ecu with a “GET” ecu model (not the only reason I changed the ecu) which improved the running issue with the map and the lean and low oil in the cylinder issue that the TPI bikes seem to have. The GET also comes with WiFi so you can tweak everything on the trail if you so desire unlike the stock ecu. My 2 cents.
I think my Trask video is the first one with the traction map. I like the second map much better it gives me a lot more throttle to play with. I am thinking about adding the switch so I can run the stock map during the summertime now that I am used to the bike!
Your socket was in the tank when you were in a hurry. Why don't you explain to those that don't know what you're doing instead of fast motion and also use a screw gun or a T handle instead of of the ratchet. In addition, you say "use these plugs on your carburetor" but you have fuel injection. Those lines are only to plug the fuel lines off, you really don't need them.
FYI, you only need to remove the left bolt for the seat. At least on my 2021 300 XCW.

hey, I have a 2022 KTM 300XC. I dont want the tame unplugged map. Do these come stock with the connector connected? Thx
I just bought the same bike and the dealer said it was connected.
Hey, what were the results from switching the map to the lower position? Do you have before and after video ? Thanks and God bless and stay safe 🙏🏽
