I saw this deck at a tarot store near me and I wanted to see what it would look like before buying it. It super convenient to travel with like you said.
Thanks for showing these, it's very helpful :) I'm considering buying this exact deck, but I've noticed that someone on Amazon commented that this version slightly stretches out the cards to fit on a different card ratio. In this video I notice that all the coins look a bit horizontally stretched and elongated, but I can't tell if this is just the camera angle. Is there any chance you could confirm for me whether this is the case? It seems like such a strange choice, but i fit's true I'll probably go for the full sized version. Thanks!
Now that you mention it, the coins look slightly wider than they are tall, meaning they aren't perfect circles, as if all the cards were squeezed/squashed just a tad to fit the format. I hadn't noticed it before and it doesn't really bother me personally. It seems pretty subtle, but if you're sensitive about that, you might want to pass. I have no idea how the regular sized ones are.
@@toadstooltarot Thank you very much for answering. That's really helpful! Circles are my favourite shape so I'll probably grab a full size one instead. Thanks again! :)
This mini deck looks nearly the same as the CBD , just very tiny corrections (mouths, Hermit's head, devil's breast) and somehow slightly "wider". I've been looking for a while for a mini TdM to carry around. Ended up with Maria Celia, but for some reason I don't feel like reading with it - I guess the backgrounds are too colourful for a TdM for me. I considered the Squid Cake, but it's so pink and the persons look all sick or depressed. Maybe I'll finally pick up this one, it seems indeed to be the most decent affordable choice available.
I loved the Maria Celia, but didn't like the borders, so I trimmed them off....then never used it again because it 'felt' wrong. I've recently repurchased it and hopefully I'll leave it alone and use it. I love its colors, just didn't care for the contrast of the borders.
Agree big-time about the stark white background. A creamy, aged background suits a Marseille deck so much better.
❤This deck but it’s my only Marseille❣️😁
