I support Chelsea Utd but Giggs get severely underrated. He came to Stamford bridge at 37 in the CL QF and bossed the midfield against Lampard, essien and Mikel etc. My list: Salah Ronaldo Giggs Hazard Mane Pires Beckham Bale Sanchez Son
I have to go ronaldo over salah, listen ronaldo was in a rigid 442 while salah was in a flexible 433 gearing more to his strength, ronaldo has rooney and tevez ahead of him and outscored them from the midfield, plus ronaldo had more to his game at the time than salah was ronaldo was awesome as a freekick taker, he was beating defenders all around the pitch, he was more complete than salah basically, as a 23 year old, in my opinion, nothing is wrong with salah being number 1, but making a debate on why ronaldo should be number 1 as well.

That's the literally reason why he's able to rank him low. I mean to Shauns point about what position he plays, a lot of people say Mo Salah has adapted his game to being a Forward/inside forward, Hazard also finds himself sometimes as an inside forward but his game is more so played on the widest parts of the field and also picks up the ball and moves it up from the halfway line. Salah does do parts of a normative winger role but has adapted his game where he usually picks up the ball in more attacking areas looking to create a shot first or assist another forward. Hazard's game usually finds himself in the half space either looking to go to the byline to either cross and assist first or to link up and create a shot. They are pretty similar roles ill admit but some main distinguishing factors between the 2 players id say are how many shots each takes per game, passes per game and also crosses per game. I think you would agree traditional wingers would tend to cross more and pass more and forwards would take more shots and probably not have the space to complete passes as much especially if they are high up the field.

@@SnAkEyEs9876 I think his point was that in Liverpool's system Salah and Mane are the two goalscorers and Firmino is a creator. In pretty much every other top Prem team in the past the wingers have never been given the role of the goalscorer - it's always been the striker (or shared between the striker and Lampard at Chelsea). Obviously rn at a city there isn't an out and out striker but Sterling isn't playing now so we're talking about 17/18, 18/19 etc. Back then they had Aguero as a striker and Sterling was more like a wide player who was on a good run of goals. But primarily he was like a normal winger and not like Salah and Mane. That's why Shaun considers him a winger not what I would argue. The logics really flawed because at the end of the day they're all just wingers. I think Shaun's trying to say you can't really compare Salah and Mane to other wingers because Liverpool's system is so unique and it gives them an advantage stats wise over other wingers. Not sure how you get around it. For me it's just impossible to make a list like this because how do you compare Salah and Mane with Giggs and Beckham. On an individual basis, Salah has statistically outdone Ronaldo in every metric. In 40 games less he has 20 more goals and 5 more assists (146 g/a in 167 to 121 g/a in 202). That in itself warrants the debate.

Compare this with Sadie Mane 19/20 who Shaun seemed to think didn’t do much. 18 goals 9 assists. Without his goals they would be 18 points worse off and without goals and assists 26 points worse off. This means they would have lost the league by 8 points.
That’s a hell of analysis. Sean is just a mong, he constantly goes on about aesthetically pleasing but has no consistency to his arguments. He put Robben in who barely played in the prem and is famous for coming inside and shooting. The guy pretty much made it the norm for left footers to play right wing so that they can cut in. Zola played off the striker as a centre forward. He doesn’t even know what he is saying
I hate guys like you who compare players by goals and assists. Salah is a good GOALSCORER, he isn’t a natural winger!!
@@stackguap I don’t even understand what this means. He isn’t the old version of a winger yet he has played winger most of his career. But even the ‘natural winger’ is judged on their stats. Wingers are supposed to get assists. Fair enough if you are discussing a midfielder but with wingers and forwards goals and assists is obviously going to be what they are judged on. When we compare Ronaldo and Messi we say they are great for beating all the records, goal and assist records! Both who are considered wingers. If Salah isn’t a winger neither is Ronaldo

@@Anonymous-xr8hx but then has sterling on his list?
On an individual basis, Salah has statistically outdone Ronaldo in every metric. In 40 games less he has 20 more goals and 5 more assists (146 g/a in 167 to 121 g/a in 202). That in itself warrants the debate.
