The Goddess Durga whom they are worshipping is not mention in the Vedas neither in upnishad. Durga is a later goddess adopted from Inana a Sumerian lion riding warrior Goddess and ancient than Durga. Vedic or even the people at the time of Buddha may never heard of her.

The period of 400-500AD for Markandeya Puran is without any basis. This period has been arbitrarily fixed by professors in US Universities to show that Sanatan Hindu scriptures are not from antiquity but were written in the 'christian' era and sadly English educated Indians blindly follow without independent research of their own. As per our tradition Markandeya Rishi is from Dwapara Yuga 5000 years ago. Our historical periods fixed by American University professors have to be rejected.

In this audio of Durga Suktam (not song) the danseuse dances. Is there any defect in alphabets, words, pronunciation or inflections (swara) in vedic accents? Not only Sanskrit but every language is derived from sounds. Investment of divinity is a state of mind, of adherents, but can not be for a language as a whole, but only to some scriptural texts. That way every language has got holy texts.
The Dance is very graceful. I do not know this actress. However, she must be a trained dancer. Can make that out clearly from the way she stands and moves.
