I'm really convinced that it isn't just one of those "times" everyone has when they are young. Things were so much better during this time. A happier time was the 90's.

This was the first game I played in my N64. My God what an amazing experience. And the nights with my friends playing all together. Good times, nostalgia hits hard 😢
I downloaded this on my son's Xbox. I didn't think he would be too interested because of the graphics, but me him and my daughter be having a blast lol.

Ridiculously crazy nostalgia. The human brain is such a wonderful thing. The way just the pure sound of an old , OG game can bring back a tsunami of memories you had with friends and siblings on this game.

The developers were prob like big kids themselves and the project became a passion. And the passion soon became an addiction to make a better and better game. You could even say the game isn't specifically designed for kids. It's designed for adults... kids enjoying the depth of fun and experience is just a byproduct of the love and attention that went into making it.
The satisfying sound of a DD44 in Goldeneye 64 will never be matched.

I will never forget the multiplayer split screen and playing with all my friends. the 90s were the best.
YEAH BROTHER, I had so much fun with friends playing it. I am glad Jesus will make the entire earth awesome when He comes and reign. The world is completely turned upside down compare to the wonderful life in the 90s. I miss it but bro, better times are coming, we just have to have faith. God made us enjoy the 90's and we will enjoy the amazing things to come that he prepared for us.

I'll never forget all the amazing feelings I had with this game and the sheer joy of playing it .
Nothing has ever been able to top it in terms of the experience with gaming since.
The time was just right and the impression massive.

SAME here.... it was a totally different sensation playing this game that time.... It was so much better than other fps....The game had this sensation of freedom, you could play in the way you wanted... Nowadays this seems simple, but that time it was great....

Dude I remember playing this when I was 9, I'm 26, and now my son. Who is 6 can't get enough of this game. Goldeneye really set the bar for 1st person shooters. Nostalgia is In full effect my friends.
Also still have the same plain grey nintendo and gold copy of 007 that I had as a child. And it works just fine!!! Microsoft and Sony could learn a thing or 2 from them 😆

Happy 25th anniversary GoldenEye. I play this all throughout my child and I finally beat it in Middle School. The game was so much fun and enjoyable. I'll never forget the game and the memories.

Man I got this game November 7, 1997 from my cousins. I had to have kidney surgery and I was in 7th grade. Wasn't able to go back to school after the surgery until the following February. I did nothing but play this game lol😂. I had a homeschooling teacher come for like an hour to bring class work and the rest of the time it was this. Hard-core nostalgia here.

What a calm play through, after 25 years I can still watch a master have a “normal” run. I haven’t been able to beat goldeneye yet, I should change that today

I remember my friends getting this for Christmas and coming to school talking about it. And my older brothers talking about their friends talking about it. Not only from a standpoint of the 90s pretty much being the last great decade....But I love being born in the 80 & growing up 90s being able to see the full progression of Video games from Atari til now. Like I remember how ground breaking GoldenEye was at the time. It was really the standard for console shooters that really hadn't been replaced until the first Halo on Xbox.
I have so many fond memories of playing this game. It was not just the game that was so much fun, but the people i played it with.
I never get tired of seeing this game.

That high pitched whizzing sound when bullets hit off the wall in goldeneye hits me straight in the feels
What's crazy is that's a real sound guns make when they richochet. I thought it was a cartoon thing until I shot a rock with a .22
I remember bringing it home for the very first time borrowing it from a friend. At the time his parents owned a video store so he had first access to ALL the latest and greatest games! Picked up my own copy slightly thereafter. One of the best games of all time in my opinion and definitely defined part of my gaming childhood.

I love this game so much. I see so many comments about the music for the game and I keep telling people there is this really cool trap beat that somebody made with music from the game as well as some sound effects. I know how it sounds but it’s bad ass.

Living in Tokyo for the last few years you’d think I’d have already gotten myself an N64 with Goldeneye, I’d wake up 2 hours early for school in the late 90’s to play almost every day lol. Think I’ll get me one next weekend, nostalgia FC here I come.

Kids today will never know how badass this game was when it came out. I spent HOURS with my buddies playing this game. Putting on the paintball setting was pretty fun too. I wish I could go back in time when things where simpler.

I can't wait til this is added to the N64 roster on the Nintendo switch. My younger brother and I used to rent this(among other n64 games) on weekends and we played the heck out of it. Sometimes our dad would get in on it and play with us. Good times.

I remember as a kid after playing outside all day we would go to my house and play this game 4 players and pass the controller if you lost. We would nag at each other for screen cheating and odd job was banned. This game brought all my friends in my neighborhood together for good times. Goldeneye holds a special place in my childhood.

We did the same things!!! We had a special rule about Oddjob, anyone who picked Oddjob was free to be ganged up on by all other players. Screen cheating resulted in getting beat by anyone who wasn't playing at that time and lowest kills per round resulted in passing the controller off for a new player to start playing

Ah yes I well remember finally managing to keep Natalya alive and moving onto the next objective after being told she was heading back to the surface and then being informed a few moments later that she had been killed. Controller almost went through screen.
I was never skilled enough to get past the 2nd level so this is great for me to be able to see the rest of the game. Great memories.
My cousin got me hip for playing this GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64 for the first time and that's how I started playing this game. I was 7 years old at that time, i was at cousin's house to play this game and i enjoy it. Until this day, i still know how to play it💯

I dont know. Some of these are strange. In mine you would fail the mission if Trevor died on stage one. Thats why you always have to wait till he is aways from the tanks. And this cany be 00 Agent. He was caught slipping a couple times and would have been shot. Seems strange I know this game like the back of my hand

man this got to be my favorite game of all time and i been a gamer since the old school nintendo. i spent countless hours on this joint with my man Jake from the next neighborhood over. as kids we literally took this SOB everywhere, we played at his house, my house, neighbors house, driving on the road in the car with the tube tv set in between the front seats and us in the back, we played inside, outside, on vacation in the beach condo, freaking literally every which way we could possibly think up, and did it over and over and over, and we literally never got tired of it. these developers did so much with relatively so little, and this game still slap, aint nobody ever came close to what this game did, it literally invented a whole new genre of games. not to many titles can brag about doing that. case closed.

I love that game so much, I always wonder how many played its spiritual succesor, Perfect Dark which was another Marvel. '007 The world is not enough' was also pretty good, but feel really different than both of those games

The hip fire accuracy is unreal. And here I thought I was a great player at this game back in the day. I was trash compared to this dude. I'm blown away by his accuracy, speed and knowledge of enemy locations and objectives. It's definitely second nature to him. Clearly he's got maddddd hours into this game. My intro to FPS. My roommate introduced me to it and schooled me on it. To this day, after all these years of playing so many shooters, mainly CoD zombies, I still reload instinctively to a fault. All thanks to that roommate. He made an impression clearly.

Something very satisfying about the way the bullets hit and the way you aim upclose with the slight auto aim. Brings back alot of memories. You play almost the same exact way I played it when I was a kid. I used to play the sh*t out of it.
Great video. I must mention that the remastered version for X360 with a CE patch is brilliant. Not many bugs left to fix, and one of them is still menu music, still missing. Also, need to fix mission-ending music. The latest community edition updater is v5, I think? In addition, the old graphical visuals are no longer blurry with CE v5. It's crystal clear, plus improved lighting where you can see far even in dark areas as it should be.

I will never forget the first time I played this game! I was stuck at the front gate of the dam level for 15 minutes, because I thought something was wrong with my controller. Come to find out…. I was supposed to use the analog!!😂😂 I have never been so embarrassed with no one else in the room.😂😂

The game was amazing, but it really came alive in the 00Agent difficulty. That setting was made for those who loved the game. You really had to think about every level in a different way.
One of the things that made this game so great, and added to the replay value! The kind of quality game design that hardly exists anymore!
