- Insane start to the run, Kind of slow mid game, but then insane late game. Got screwed over on the last few stages trying to do the "100%" category, but this is still pretty cool. My long term goals here are a sub 36 minute 00 Agent time and a sub 58 minute 100% time (current record is 58:39)
100% in this game means you obtain every single cheat and also beat the game on 00 Agent. It is more efficient to just beat the entire game on 00 Agent first, and also this way if i fail a run after 00 Agent like this, it still counts for the 00A WR. I failed Jungle on this run so it ended there. I will be streaming some more 100% attempts at / truerfaith
For all the people wondering, this game requires the use of "look down" to save time and also manipulate guards in some areas. Generally speaking, I look down less than individual level runs since the time save isn't as significant here. When you look straight ahead, more of the levels have to load which loses a lot of real time over the course of a full run, probably a whole minute or so if I
didn't look down at all. We have played the game a lot, so even while looking down we know where to go. Think of it like camera angles in Mario 64. - เกม
I'll never forget playing this and then waking up to my dad at 5am before he was supposed to wake us up playing this on 00 agent mode trying to beat the game. Unfortunately we never did beat the game on 00 agent and got stuck on cradle or the level after that which I can't remember except it was a pyramid with oddjob, and jaws.
He even bought us the book and everything and we tried forever.
I miss you dad and I'll never forget the life you gave us.

I remember something similar with my dad. My brother and I were playing and made it to the streets level, but couldn't beat it. We went to bed, and when we woke up the next morning streets AND depot was beaten. Our dad apparently beat those levels while we were asleep. He also showed us how to drive the tank.

It's been over 20 years since I played Goldeneye 64, and I can still remember every level like the back of my hand.
Man, this was such a top tier game and the nostalgia is real!
If only we could get a full remake for next gen, maybe bundled with Nightfire

It's great to see Nintendo and Xbox will get it! Unfortunately it's no good to me as I'm Playstation, but I hope it's remastered well enough to bring new generations to the classic title. Looking forward to seeing a trailer and some gameplay footage for sure

I love how happy you were for just the first 3 levels and then it was all just shit. Classic speedrunner mentality and that's what makes you a goat
Don't encourage him. That mentality is based-upon self-loathing for how much of their own lives they waste. He beat this classic in a faster time than anyone else. There are no trophies, scholarships or grants for this. He took it upon himself to ignore everything that made this game great. If you're impressed, then good for you both. This was sad to me and I lived this game for what it was.
This is the first game i remember playing where it mattered if you made noise. You could sneak through the levels with a silencer and clear them out easily. That was so much fun.
@@northside314 it absolutely did. If you used a non silenced weapon enemies would funnel into the area of the level you were on. They would never stop spawning.

This speedrun gave me anxiety, weirdly i know you succeeded with 59:32 as it already shows but it still gives me anxiety when in some parts it looks like you could be dead or obstructed. Worldy effort bro!

Me and my boys played the hell out of this game in 2nd back in 97 until we finally unlocked 007 mode in middle school (4 years later)good times.
I just pressed the microphone button and said "Goldeneye speedrunning". It immediately started playing this video. I hope it's good.

Guy got the facility invincibility cheat in 30 seconds... Wtf. I only accomplished this once back in the day.. holy shit that was impressive and of course lucky Dr. Doak was placed where he was.
Bond diagonal strafing towards guards while looking down is the equivalent of an anime character teleporting behind the villain and killing them
Let's be honest, the best thing about Goldeneye is the sounds of the guards when you shoot them hahaha

Getting all the cheats back as a teen in the 90s was brutal, yet got done with much luck and skill.
Speedrunners though have my utmost respect battering every level in record time. Good memories and nostalgia going for the cheats.

so the bulletproof vests are still in 00 agent mode on the japanese versions..cause its not there in facility on the american one

That was insane! I can't understand how you just ran past all the characters and didn't die - Goldeneye was a huge part of my teenage years and I used to find it so difficult! So to see you just run through everything was mindblowing - wow! Your skill level is so high - like that laser part at 22:50 on the train - that took me dozens of attempts. And that part at 28:00 when you have to protect Natalya was amazing - I found that impossible.

Dang the facility run was 56 👀. (Go on slowest playback speed and pause it at 3:25). Crazy run! My 1:18 was on a XBL controller and it felt impossible. On my channel too.

It’s not an objective. You only kill jaws for the keycard and he lured the guard to open the glass door for him.
Imagine this but all of the levels are done in the world record agent times.

Wow this is incredible. I thought I was good back in the day just unlocking all the cheats lol. I've just bought the N64 and goldeneye again , I'm now 43 !!! It's definitely harder than I remember 😂. Best game of all time for me regardless. Well done fella 👌.

Edit: i figured it out, its because the Japanese version of the game keeps the body armor in every level even on 00 difficulty

I've played this game for many years and have played 00 agent multiple times, and I'm pretty sure some of the body armour picked up in this run is not present on 00 agent. Is there a reason for this?
Japanese version of the game has more body armor on the levels

UltimaKeyMaster its basically only speedran on Japan because you can’t reliably survive otherwise. And the records are allowed on any version

There's no Armour in most of the levels especially the first one. So this ain't on level "00 Agent"...
