I did, I sold this to a local guy to focus on refurbing a supercharged 1988 Fiero. I lost 2 grand on the vette, but by some fluke made 5 grand on the Fiero.
I love looking at this car. Thanks for posting. I have the same 1996 CE LT4. Under what conditions did those 315s rub? Full lock on both sides on the A-arms? Considering going up from my square 275s.
I wouldn't bother unless you have a completely built engine. The high compression doesn't lend itself well to high boost. Dollar for dollar you can get more gains per dollar with heads and camshaft.
An uncle of mine had the same car back when it was new. He put a Vortec blower on it and he had issues with it breaking ring lands off the factory pistons. Primitive tuning back then combined with tight ring gaps/hypereutectic pistons…the LT4 is not boost friendly in stock build.
@@Trebor-gw8lt what about the lt1? I plan on getting any year from ‘92 to ‘96 c4 and then adding a procharger. Ik the ‘96 was the only one with the lt4 but they are on the “expensive” end for me so is it worth boasting the lt4 or lt1?
Buying my c4 collectors edition thursday. Was suppose to get another porsche but somehow ended up in the world of corvettes. I guess now i have euro, american, and asian(nissan)
The C4 1 year only LT4 cars are awesome! I have a '96 LT4 CE myself, and love it. They have a fantastic torque curve that, combined with the ZF 6-speed, makes them a blast to drive.
I agree, many people think it's "just 30hp over an LT1." The change in power curve makes it feel so much stronger. They are absolutely fantastic to drive.
Thanks man! I agree. I picked up a cheaper TPI Z52 C4 to play with, for cruising. But as far as performance projects I'm just way more into the fiero. I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
Yeah, I really was excited for it, but I'm really focused on making the Fiero 100% sorted. So it's going to eat my money. Good news is this car is selling locally to an enthusiast who will hopefully finish it. His goal is 200mph for 15k, and I'm pretty sure with a 6k budget and everything here, he will get it. And I'll get a ride :)
your giving up that corvette for the fiero? kalamazoo here

Also that's awesome, not many locals chime in! Cheers!
does it not have the hatch popper on the back of the door?
No it did, I'm just a dufus!!
Thats a Golen Engine Services - 383 short block right?
Correct
You still got the car
I do not, it was local to me and repaired. He had it for sale but I think it's gone now.

It did rub slightly under full lock, but nothing that would keep me from using this setup again!
Thanks for that info!
9,000 with the short block?
Yes, it was a deal. It sold locally
How is the procharger? Does it work well with the lt4? I am pulling the trigger on one now

I would highly recommend getting a copy of this book

No easy way to increase power ... Cam is pita... Small 100hp nitrous kit is the best answer. Compression too high for boost. Just drive it stock..
Wow. I bet that didn't hang around long. Heckuva deal .Thanks for showing me what that pass. side vent looks like removed.
Yeah it sold pretty quick, a few days! Luckily it sold local, so I'll get a ride in it when it's done!

Nothing wrong with diversity! Congrats!

Wish I could afford one.
The prices are all over, but I've seen running LT4s as cheap as $8000 this year. For what you get, that's a bargain.
@@mattquerio not bad and thank you . One day brother.
I honestly think you are making the right choice at this point. You have a great project car with the Fiero.

What a beautiful car, Question what's the name of those wheels, They are really nice...
They are 17x11 ZR1 replicas. They are readily available online!
Beautiful car. Love those wheels! I'm happy it found an enthusiast home. Cheers.
Thanks! I love the 11" wheel setup too. I'm really excited to see him finish this car and do some runway racing.
Sad you have to let it go - would have been a scary beast once corrected.

Man.. you got those 315's up front too? damn lol
Haha yes, 17x11's, 315/35R17s square. Made to carve corners!
Also, there is a rear hatch release on the diver's side door in the doorjamb area. You don't have to crawl inside the car to open it.
@@mattquerio How was it on the road daily? Did it tramline alot?
I love ❤ the 87 Pontiac Gt Fiero 😍 too...
It's an 88, there are a few videos of it on my channel. One is a driving video. It's a blast with the 3800 supercharged!
??
?
looks sick the c4 collector
It's a good looking car with the 11 inch wheels!
@@mattquerio what exhaust its using?
