Absolutely for its time Spiderman 2 was one of the greatest games. I can't believe it took almost 2 decades for another company to make something to stand up to it and surpass what it did for a superhero game.
Spiderman 2 is still my personal favourite spiderman game (the spiderman Ps4 game is second obviously)
Making me feel nostalgic. Went and dug up my limited edition halo reach xbox 360 with the controller... can't find the game lol who knows what middle school me did with that. Never been much of a collector but I am thinking of just makin a shelf of some of my all time childhood favorites because man it feels good just to look back at it every now and again. Great vid and can't wait to see the next one
Should get the capacitors and clock batery looked at as well, those were an issue with 95% of OG Xbox units

I loved chicken little and jet set radio on my og Xbox. Had to have an Xbox as a kid after playing halo at my cousins house. 1st game I got was halo 2. RIP my og Xbox. The disc drive stopped working one day while playing NFS most wanted. Luckily my mom bought me a Xbox 360 when that happened. I’ve had every Xbox since then.

I'm working my way backwards through the years, bought an OG Xbox 360 from my friend a few months back. Haven't found a good deal for an OG original Xbox yet tho, I'm jealous!

The original Xbox live arcade, required a disc to access. So I imagine the Xbox live arcade that came with Forza allowed you access to buy games from the arcade

Awesome video Matty! I got my Xbox when I was less than ten years old. It's crazy to think it's basically a retro console at this point.
As for the dirt on the game cases. If I had to guess I'd say it's from store stickers that the guy peeled off and the residue they leave behind. I hate that too haha.
I really loved my XBOX. This is giving me the warm fuzzies. I definitely would love to have the authentic system hooked up again one day. EDIT: XBOX and SEGA do go way back. I've always considered the original XBOX to be a kind of Dreamcast successor.
Ninja Gaiden was my ultimate game on the OG XBox along with Star Wars KOTOR. Two of the best games. I had so many though, including Chronicles of Riddick, Escape from Butcher Bay, Halo, Halo 2, ESPN NFL 2k5 (the best NFL game ever), and so many others. I still have my OG Xbox.
I really enjoyed this unboxing, the box 📦 art looks beautiful. A real interesting Xbox Edition, and plenty of controllers for multiplayer gaming. I love the Xbox was a great console entry, the 4 controller ports on the front are really nice. Also I like some of the games you showed as well. 🎮🙋♂️
I payed 50 buck for my console a year or two ago. Came with 4 controllers, manuals, and about 10 games! Should have never sold my original to begin with, but gamestop gave me 15 bucks for it back in the day lol.

Edit: Wreckless: the Yakuza Missions was so bad it's good. Especially the voice acting. It would make a good stand alone video.

My disappointment was immeasurable when I found out not even all the og xbox exclusives were backwards compatible. Especially when I didn't see my childhood favorite spiderman 2 on the list.
If Rockstar wasn't so money hungry, it would've been awesome to have the gta trilogy backwards compatible. If only they could've done Def Jam;(

Matty I'm pretty sure the double pak actually should have two manuals one for JSRF & then one for Sega GT 02... I've got like four copies (from buying game bundles online) and they've all come like that.

The PS2'S Sonic Heroes version is the one that runs poorly, cause that game it was gonna skip that console, and Sony insisted on SEGA to release it, and that turns bad

I remember being a little kid and watching my older brother work so hard to get his Xbox and watching him open it and him and I playing together all the time it was great times I now own that Xbox and I’m getting the cords and games and controller replacements so I can let my younger siblings play at my house

They hold up pretty well compared to the ps2s. Know that from experience
I have 2 since I had as a kid. Has no problems what so ever. Opened both of em up and removed the dust when I was on leave in June. Still play to this day. Both are cherry.

It's not a big issue. The Xbox can still run and play games without them. I removed them on both of my consoles.

Mate this was a great console and a great video I will say. This is coming from me the Sony fan. It was nice seeing all of this stuff again because I grew up with this console and the PS3. Not sure how you could complain about this one.
