I bought the pattern and made it today! it was an easy sew with your instructions. It is safe to say , that by now, if you don't have a tutorial for a pattern i do not buying it. lol. You basically dictate my sewing life and I am grateful for it!

I love your video about this pattern. It’s exactly what I’ve been searching for. So I went right over and purchased all the add on’s for the Jordan Craft Case! It’s great that there’s the option for SVG files!

LOVE this!!! I just made now, using my Cricut to cut, out of waxed canvas and water resistant canvas with a cute cork strip. So quick. I wouldn’t suggest trying to cut waxed canvas on the Cricket (sticks to nothing, but I made it work somehow). Also don’t bother with any DST on waxed canvas, but I so love working with it anyway.

Another great tutorial. Thanks Jess. You are terrible for my bank balance though…I’ve bought about six patterns to date and even had a rivet press sent to Switzerland from kam snaps…total game changer for me. I just bought this pattern and can’t wait to crank out lots of great cases. Thanks again🤗👏🏻

Love the tutorial, as always!! I have a question. I would love to use this really cute directional vinyl I have. In the pattern it says not to use it because it would obviously be upside down on one of the sides but I was wondering if it would be OK to cut the pattern in half, add a 1/4 inch or 3/8 seam allowance to each side and then use it like that. I don't mind the seam since it will just be on the bottom and for the inside I will use the waterproof canvas so it will cover the seam inside. What say you? @Jess OklaRoots

  • @rochellezimmerman2641

Hi Jess, I was planning on using some clear vinyl for this project, and at the 16:16 mark, you said that if we were using a clear vinyl with no lining, we would just sew the zipper on using 1/4 inch seam allowance, and not baste. If that is the case, from the 16:16 mark, would we skip ahead to the 17:58 mark where we cut small notches into the rounded edges to help with the turning of the bag? Just making sure I don't mess this up. ;) Thank you!

Great video. I just want to let others know about TPE oilcloth. It is food grade safe and it is used in medical grade tubing so it has to be safe, I think some companies and their tactics are misleading. Study it for yourself, TPE is thermoplastic elastomer. It's stretch point etc. I know splashy says otherwise. Close name but not the name. Not cost effective either, must be why they've made themselves stand out when they are not much different.

Have you considered making a small v cut on the curves? It allows the fabric to come together rather than just bunching it.
    V on a convex curve.
    Snip on a concave curve.

love this... the pattern on the designers site says the outside should be made from a nonwoven fabric. In watching this, I'm thinking an exterior (with interfacing) quilt cotton would be fine... do you agree? Thank you again for a great tutorial.

Yes, the SVG is a cut file you can use with Cricut and other cutting machines. I love when these are included, but they are not at all necessary.
