    Game Title: Atelier Ryza 2
©2020 KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.
Three years have passed since Ryza’s secret grand adventure on Kurken Island. Ryza, the only member of her group to remain on the island, receives a letter from her friend telling her about ruins that may be related to alchemy, along with a mysterious request involving a glowing stone. This inspires her to leave the island and venture out to the royal capital, Ashra-am Baird. However, Ryza is unaware that this will lead to the beginning of an imaginative new adventure involving a pursuit of the mysteries of the ruins surrounding the royal capital and a meeting with a strange creature that will change her life.
    《Main Features》
    ■ Exploring with new field actions!
Ryza can now perform many new actions in the field, including diving underwater, using plants to climb walls, moving through narrow gaps, and using magic ropes to travel between separated areas. These and other abilities allow Ryza to explore various areas and ruins more fully and actively.
    ■ More action-filled real-time battles!
Take on your enemies using an improved “real-time tactics” battle system, which is now faster and more thrilling than ever. Speedily switch between characters, choose varied skills, and utilize items in just the right moments for best results.
    ■ Straightforward and easy-to-use synthesis!
Utilize several new synthesis systems, including the new intuitive “Linkage Synthesis” system where items are placed in cells called “Material Loops”, that are designed to allow both new players to easily learn synthesis, and experienced players to create unique customized items. Created items can also be mixed and matched with “Evolution Link” to create entirely new

The crafting system really does feel more interesting than tedious. Because if you need certain items for quest purposes, you can just quickly speed craft what you need. And it's really rewarding when you actually take the time to consider your materials when you are wanting to really craft something that is not just a high-quality number but comes with high-quality passives abilities.

Great breakdown of what they added to the new game. I like the atelier series but didn't care for Ryza. I'm glade to see they brought back some of the classic stuff from the older series and improved a lot of things that Ryza was lacking in. I think I'll end up getting this game now.

Thicc-ness and bounci-ness aside. I fell in love with the first one, the adventure, characters and just damn fun. The 2nd improved a lot of I game stuff. I’m several hours and love this all the same. For me, they are must plays. However I did have 2 friends who didn’t enjoy the first one cause of the gathering and alchemy aspect. For certain rpgs this wouldn’t be for them.

    • @mattbrown9631
      @mattbrown9631 ปีที่แล้ว

I know this is a year old, but I am just getting to this video and this comment as I am currently playing the first Ryza (finished the story, doing post-game stuff now). I love that you said "just damn fun" because that is what I've been saying to several friends as well. It isn't the most visually stunning (it's beautiful but it isn't Elden Ring or Ragnarok you know), it isn't the largest world, it isn't really groundbreaking, but it is JUST. PLAIN. FUN. And I love that. It can be as chill as you need/want it to be, or it can be quite involved. And you can progress either way you choose! That is a great feeling that you don't find often.
Also, praise the thickness and bounciness

While some people may be disappointed by the series going away from the timed deadlines, honestly so far this is the funnest Atelier game I have played in a while, I think the quick active combat really helps, sure it is pretty easy, but let's be fair combat has never been the reason to play an Atelier game, it has always been about the different crafting mechanic in each sub series of the main series, between playing tetris in the Mystery series or that counter elements of the Arland series, or the FF X style grid of the Rysa/Secret series, they are all very different while at the same time similar crafting mechanics.
If you were to ask me 6 years ago I would have said I prefer the turn based combat and the forced timelines of the original Atelier series I could not stand RTS fights, but now a days this quicker in and out combat is more enjoyable due to being too busy to be dealing with long drawn out combat. I think the games have evolved to fit the life styles of the people who started in on the original series, being much more drop in, drop out short gaming session friendly with being able to quickly return to the Atelier and save and quite from pretty much anywhere with no penalty so long as you are not in combat, where as returning home in the old games could mean you end up missing deadlines.
All in all yet another good addition to the series.

To the Wii U Xenoblade Chronicles X, then there is virtual console old school favorites like EarthBound (Mother 2), Super Mario RPG.
Chrono Trigger is a classic and it’s gameplay aged very well it’s on SNES, PC and DS, and even iOS and Android. I highly recommend that one. Also Dragon Quest VIII!
