I remember when he starred in the TV show Dan August. Every kid in the neighborhood was diving over stuff, to imitate the shows opening. LOL!! He could crack you up with a look, or his laugh. RIP Burt.
I agree...I went to see it with my dad in 1977 at the Skyline Drive-in Theater in Dothan Alabama...I was 8 yrs old. After seeing it I said I was going to be a Truck Driver....I've bern doing it now for close to 30 years.

I'll never be convinced that Sally Field was the love of Burt's life. Dinah Shore in my opinion was the love of Burt's life. A man and woman don't keep in contact with each other once a week after parting ways. They were in contact until Dinah's death. Dinah was the cream of the crop in Tinseltown. They both were down to earth, kind and loving people. Dinah showed Burt how things worked in Hollywood.❤❤

I remember seeing this movie at the drive in. I was a 20 year old fleet mechanic, servicing a fleet of 42 new Peterbuilts. One Sat night 12 of us each took one to the drive in, and we all parked in the back row.
I really wish in looking back, that we fans could have started a go fund me page, to help Burt. He gave us so much laughs and iconic good times, it is time for his public to throw in a few bucks to ease his mind during retirement. I would have gladly given money to that fund. Respects , RH DSD

No one ever mentions "Fuzz," one of his better movies. It's a comedy/drama where he plays a cop who goes undercover to catch a couple of scumbags who set homeless people on fire for the thrill of it. Of course, the fact that a young Raquel Welch is also in it doesn't hurt.
"The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing" is one of my favorites. It's an excellent film and he is fantastic in it and I wish people would recognize it in his long list of great movies.

My favorite is Best Friends with Goldie Hawn. I never realized how good looking he was till I was much older. He looked a lot better without that hairpiece.
