I agree too many injuries on my niners these past years, this niners was more competitive but in 2019 we had some good games, you guys won the first one and we barely won the last game that season, it was down to one play at the end, I was shocked we got the stop but you guys always bring it vs us and last week was a good one to, you guys were just a bit better

Rodgers hasn’t had that luxury for the better part of a decade and that’s been the biggest reason he hasn’t been back. I mean hell in this game alone the Packers defense allowed Kap to throw for 280 yards and run for 170 yards.

@@raikoafm702 Kaep's stats are hard to read because they don't detail how much of a running threat he was also. I believe Jimmy G has a higher ceiling as a passer, but he's very prone to throwing interceptions and unless he gets passed that, he's never going to be great.
49ers and Green Bay have had some epic playoff battles since the mid 90s. Bowman and Willis IMO was the best mlb core ever. I almost cried when Willis retired. What a defense Cowboy, Willis, Bowman, Aldon Smith, Dontae Hitner, Brooks talk about LOADED man.

This team was a better team then 2019. We absolutely blew it against the Ravens. We play that game 10 times we win 8-9. Sucks we didn't show up til the middle of the third quarter. This season hurt more then 2019.
I disagree, I'd say they're both on par for who we've had on both squads. I'd say the offense is better on the '19 squad whereas the defense was better on the '11-12 squad. I think if both could play each other, it'd be a very close game. Although, I do agree that we blew it vs the ravens and yea, we win that game more times than not.

kaepernick is a one read qb, he looks for his primary reciever if hes not open he tries to run, he also telegraphs throws...that can get your reciever hurt. as soon as defenses figured out how to stop the read option he became mediocre at best

I’m watching this in 2022, Jim Harbaugh is coaching at the University of Michigan and just lost to Georgia in the College Football Playoff semi finals. Georgia then won the National title against Alabama. Randall Cobb is back with the Packers who I believe are the #1 seed in the NFC. And Kap…no longer plays in the nfl. AJ Hawk is a co host of a super popular TH-cam show with Pat McAfee. Just some interesting things off the top of my head.

This was the last playoff game ever played at Candlestick. Say what you want about the lack of proper field water drainage but the stadium had great fan atmosphere. I really loved going to both 49er and Giant games there.

Biggest problem with Kap was that he never improved his mechanics. Because of games like this, nobody in the organization tried to stress mechanics until Harbaugh left. By then, he had too many starts with those aforementioned shoddy mechanics, thus causing his 2015 season to be plagued by some of the most inconsistent mechanical play I have ever seen from a QB. And getting benched for Blaine Gabbert basically ended his tenure for the 49ers.
Here on the 10th anniversary of this game. And now the Niners once again have a squad that looks like they’re on a run to the big game once again. Fingers crossed!
This year’s team is more well rounded and disciplined too. I watch this game and even though I loved this time, I’m seeing sloppiness that eventually burned us in the SB against the Ravens. B More was just too gritty and clicking in the right places.

I think he had so much talent. But his act was figured out by 2014. He was different in 2012 than 2016. He started to change after he met his current girlfriend. From what has been told by people who knew him and his time in 49ers he was different than the person you see now. He got caught up in himself after 2012 because he was deemed the next big thing. Then he gets big contract and then the 49ers start to fall apart. His coach Jim Harbaugh starts clashing with ownership. Then colin meets his current girlfriend who changes him completely. Converts him vegan and islam then in 2016 offseason the 49ers were looking to trade him to the denver broncos but colin had to take 5 million pay cut of his 12 million salary. I heard his teammates didnt mesh with him before that then he starts doing all his protesting and his teammates start to respect him more than ever. Dont quote me but this is from what I read about online and saw over the time period.

I miss 2012 football, so many interesting QB stories. But 2018 has a lot of QB's getting picked early so maybe this season will be similar. Hopefully.

Doug Taylor there's more talent in the QB position this year than I've ever seen in the past. This will be an interesting, shoot out year. Rodgers, Watson, Brady, Brees, Ryan, Goff, Wentz, Wilson, Luck, Jimmy G, Cousins, I'm sure I'm missing guys. I think Trubisky will shape up this year. Hopefully Winston gets back to his high production. Gonna be interesting
Evan H. Mahomes, Rivers, Big Ben, Stafford, Newton, Fitzpatrick Winston saga, D’Arnold, Mayfield, Jackson, Jimmy G before he got hurt, Cousins,Dalton, etc. So many Quarterbacks and storylines it’s crazy talent across the board.

Aaron Scott Bro Bortles fucking sucked ass this year. He was a turnover machine. I think that Flacco should go to Jacksonville but he’s such a régresser himself but once in the playoffs he’s Joe Cool. But we’ll see so much talent at the Quarterback position this year.

This team was a better team then 2019. We absolutely blew it against the Ravens. We play that game 10 times we win 8-9. Sucks we didn't show up til the middle of the third quarter. This season hurt more then 2019.
I disagree, I'd say they're both on par for who we've had on both squads. I'd say the offense is better on the '19 squad whereas the defense was better on the '11-12 squad. I think if both could play each other, it'd be a very close game. Although, I do agree that we blew it vs the ravens and yea, we win that game more times than not.

2012 and 2013 were pretty good years for football, you had the legends still in top form (Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers) and the young upcoming generation of hybrid Qb's (Wilson, Kap). Nowadays it's even better because more than half the teams can say they have their franchise QB
Ya, and if you remember back then, every talking head was against Kap because he wasn't a pocket passer, and he was a runner. They all said he would get injured. Kap and Jim Harbaugh paved the way for running QBs.

kaepernick is a one read qb, he looks for his primary reciever if hes not open he tries to run, he also telegraphs throws...that can get your reciever hurt. as soon as defenses figured out how to stop the read option he became mediocre at best

I’m watching this in 2022, Jim Harbaugh is coaching at the University of Michigan and just lost to Georgia in the College Football Playoff semi finals. Georgia then won the National title against Alabama. Randall Cobb is back with the Packers who I believe are the #1 seed in the NFC. And Kap…no longer plays in the nfl. AJ Hawk is a co host of a super popular TH-cam show with Pat McAfee. Just some interesting things off the top of my head.

Oh man, thanks for posting this. I was there for the game and never got to see the broadcast. Even when we were down in the first half or tied, not one person in the stadium thought there was any chance we wouldn't win. The Stick was like a fortress that night.

2:19:41 crazy how in 2012 they are advertising Seahawk's Russel Wilson vs Falcon's Matt Ryan and in 2021 they're still on the same teams (Rogers too). Kinda rare to have these players stay so long when many are now asking to be traded or signing big contracts in free agency.

Its all about longevity… QB’s like Russell Wilson, Big Ben; Tom Brady, Drew Brees etc, are all QBs that are/were rarely getting sacked …they have always had a great O-line to protect them or a Quick enough ball release to where they’re bodys and brain have been somewhat protected…

This was the last playoff game ever played at Candlestick. Say what you want about the lack of proper field water drainage but the stadium had great fan atmosphere. I really loved going to both 49er and Giant games there.

Biggest problem with Kap was that he never improved his mechanics. Because of games like this, nobody in the organization tried to stress mechanics until Harbaugh left. By then, he had too many starts with those aforementioned shoddy mechanics, thus causing his 2015 season to be plagued by some of the most inconsistent mechanical play I have ever seen from a QB. And getting benched for Blaine Gabbert basically ended his tenure for the 49ers.

This year’s team is more well rounded and disciplined too. I watch this game and even though I loved this time, I’m seeing sloppiness that eventually burned us in the SB against the Ravens. B More was just too gritty and clicking in the right places.

I think he had so much talent. But his act was figured out by 2014. And instead of growing as a QB to accommodate for the changes in the league, he started to get involved with what he’s doing know and his play suffered. Instead of practicing with the offense and studying defenses, he decided to pull out his soap box and make himself into a pariah. I don’t want politics and social commentary in my football. I just want to watch the best sport in America.
The Clever. Kap isn't worth the media circus. Not to mention, Kap is almost always dead last in the NFL in passing yards per game, and in the bottom half of the league in almost every other statistical category. He refused to get better by watching film and learn from his mistakes. Plus him being a piece of shit doesn't help either. Kap set an NFL record in 2016 with 4 passing yards and took 5 sacks in a game vs Chicago. 4 passing yards!!! Yikes. Maybe he'll be better off getting recruited by ISIS.

From what has been told by people who knew him and his time in 49ers he was different than the person you see now. He got caught up in himself after 2012 because he was deemed the next big thing. Then he gets big contract and then the 49ers start to fall apart. His coach Jim Harbaugh starts clashing with ownership. Then colin meets his current girlfriend who changes him completely. Converts him vegan and islam then in 2016 offseason the 49ers were looking to trade him to the denver broncos but colin had to take 5 million pay cut of his 12 million salary. I heard his teammates didnt mesh with him before that then he starts doing all his protesting and his teammates start to respect him more than ever. Dont quote me but this is from what I read about online and saw over the time period.
