    Tiny tip for transporting bikes on the back of your car or RV. Get a nice black or white cover for the bikes so no one can see without actually ripping in to the cover. Sorry for the theft issue in Tucson guys.

    Another way to make your bike identifiable is to put your name & phone number on a piece of paper rolled up inside the seat post.

    My son spent 4 months traveling around Mexico and his first stop back in the USA was Arizona. He sent me a message and said he felt 10 times safer in Mexico than Arizona. Hmmmm

    • @NoOrdinaryPath
      @NoOrdinaryPath  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? Crazy! On a side note, I would love to be explore Mexico.

      @@NoOrdinaryPath Yes do it. My son now understands how our corporate media keeps us out of Mexico for their own monetary motives. He said it was a great experience and gave him lots of confidence. The only reason why he went was because I wanted to go there for the winters and he insisted on going first to make sure it was safe. Boy was he surprised how safe he felt. What you have to watch out for isn’t so much the cartel but cops trying to shake you down for money. Even the seniors there recommend you not give into the cops but rather pay the fine they pressure you with. My son had a heads up with this but didn’t come across it.
      I’ll look forward to watching for your Mexico travels. I found your channel because I’m looking for land to put my trailer on.
      Good luck to us all! 👍👍

    Do not store any valuable stuff in the storage compartment under your RV there are limited locks for them and a lot of keys can fit to that lock, secure your portable generator as best as possible, surge protectors you put on your RV power supply is another high theft item

    I have two kids that are in nursing school, and both want to be travel nurses....any tips? I think they should try regular nursing for a couple of years before going on the road, but they're both young & impatient...

    • @NoOrdinaryPath
      @NoOrdinaryPath  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How awesome that they both want to be nurses. It is a great career. As far as traveling right away, a lot of travel agencies will want to see some experience in the hospital first. Even with years of floor nursing for John, he did a year of floating with one hospital system before traveling to give him that experience of working for different hospitals. They are going to want to know that they feel comfortable walking into any setting and get right to work. That confidence will come after they've had some time on the floor. I hope that helps! Time will fly and they will be on the road in no time. :)

    Being a Tucson resident I have to say here you must chain everything down fully. I even chain down my chains and locks. Definitely not the kinda place to leave valuables out.

    Oh dear. So sorry your bike as stolen. One of my fears with our ebikes. Our rack locks each bike in and we also add a couple of U bolt and cable locks in addition. At least it might slow them down too much to try. 🤞. BTW, ebikes are soooo....much...fun!
    Sweetest birthday present request! When our middle daughter was 10, for her birthday she so wanted to fly in an airplane. So we arranged her a flight to visit my brother and his family. She loved it! Stay safe out there. Thank you for your work in the hospitals. As a retired nurse, I know what you are going through.

    I feel your lose, that is the same thing that we had stolen. We forgot our bikes when we moved to Houston, so when we were home for Christmas we grabbed them. Unfortunately about 3 days after we got back, they were both stolen, from a gated RV Resort.

    Nice video. However, the title should coincide with content timeline...the discussion of the theft should have been in the first segment. Sorry about the bike. Look up "Liz Amazing." She just had a $4000 e-bike stolen...locked up under her 5th wheel. Happy travels...stay safe.

    I loaned my custom built mountain bike to my daughter while she attended Oregon State University and while on a visit I went to her apartment. The bike wasn’t in the rack so I figured she was out but knocked on her door anyway. When she answered, I asked where the bike was and she said “in the rack locked up.” We went to the rack and found what was left of the cable on the ground. She reported it to the Corvallis PD and they told her there was nothing they could do about it with all the meth-head thieves they had. Fast forward to a football game at OSU when I walked up to a couple of Corvallis Police Department’s bike cops strutting for the girls at the MU. I told them about my daughter’s bike being stolen and they repeated the line that there was nothing they could do. I then complemented them on their bikes and they told me the bikes were top of the line Trex. I told them if I found one of their bikes unattended my daughter would have a top of the line Trex. They told me that would be theft, I reminded them that they said there was nothing they could do about it...I could hear them muttering not nice things as they rode off. The next morning, a Corvallis Police Officer knocked on my daughters door and informed her that he had her bicycle in the back of his squad car.

    • @NoOrdinaryPath
      @NoOrdinaryPath  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!! Certain parks have the program and they get a cute certificate and cookie. You can buy an official Bark Ranger charm for their collar and we also bought a bandanna. It's hit and miss though. Some parks are more dog friendly than others. It surprised us how many parks don't allow dogs! We made a funny video of a day in the life of Cinder. If you skip to 3:50 you can see her Bark Ranger stuff. :) th-cam.com/video/O7NOBnaV-us/w-d-xo.html

    I start my first travel nurse contract tomorrow morning. It has been such a struggle to start off travel nursing with Covid-19. On top of that we had issues getting our truck from OH to FL while towing our camper and then once we arrived and hooked up our shower and bathroom sink were leaking 😭 but we have sunshine and a place to stay so we can't complain given everything else that is going on. Hoping things are back to normal soon enough and we can start exploring some parks 😊 love watching your videos and knowing we aren't alone in this ❤️
