Abstract is harder than realistic painting. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. The success or failure of these paintings will become apparent. If you are happy with them, then for you they are successful.
Your excitement is contagious! You've nailed the first one (abstract floral maybe?!) and I am loving how the red is making its voice known in the 2nd piece, when it is usually your base colour--bring it on! 💜🎨
Good for you, Julia! Abstracts are really hard to do. You're taking chances and that makes for a great abstract. Also, when in doubt.....get the big brush out. Always works! Your color choices are gorgeous!
Both these pieces look amazing. You're ideas have traveled quite a distance to come to what you are now thrilled about and you being thrilled is the place you want to be. I'm really enjoying this. I'm busy on a big project and set aside my Nick W. Breadcrumbs ideas. You're adventure is keeping the ideas alive.
Hi there! I've watched a few of your videos now and am enjoying them alot ;) I can see why you're so excited, the paintings scream colour and 'happy'. Wonderful work! From a fellow Ontarian
Hi Julia - very exciting! Please try the second one upside down -I think it would look good. Congratulations, on your way. I also see the woman with the cigarette -rather a louche type to be honest. 😀
I am loving it too. The colors and balance feel good. I know exactly what you are feeling and it's such a great feeling. As an artist I think I have only felt it a handful of times.
I am loving what you are birthing!!! Super fun!! --- You've probably already done this with your abstracts, but if you haven't, you may want to try using a mens shaving cream brush. Keep sharing!! Awesome!! 🎨
That is looking bright and fresh and has a sense of you in it.❤I wonder if you might like a double wide brush I found on Amazon-it’s soft…that could be fun for experimenting if your brush is getting bigger and floppier. Magimate large paint brush-8 inches wide. Could make some BIG strokes!
It’s beautiful 🥰👍this is just the beginning of this new style. I paint like this and many other ways but l would love to be able to paint colour blocking like you l guess it will take lots of practice for me. But all your art is just gorgeous. I also love that really first one you did while learning back about a month ago.
Tak for dit arbejde.
How exciting when an abstract comes together!
I love both of them. I see your style in there, blocks of color and they are vibrant . Its your strokes are just looser. How fun!!💖💖💖💖
