So many things in this video really resonated with me. Your stand-up workspace is great!!. When I added more workspace in my craft room a few years ago, I told my husband I wanted a stand-up workstation. We looked at so many tables that were adjustable. I know when I started out, for years I beat myself up not knowing if I could ever truly accomplish Any goals & watching artists like yourself showed me IF I wanted to continue down the path I set forth (like owning a store filled with artists; becoming a mentor, etc) and although I chose to NOT want these obligations I Know for sure that I'm passionate about creating. I've learned so much about myself & I Know that I will Create my desires...my stories and if it happens to resonate with someone then so be it but I believe in creating for self with a little 🤏🏽thought about it going to customers. I've found in my experience that when I create what my SouL is drawn to at that time, those pieces have sold and resonated with the buyer the same way it did me. Dionne, around minute 6:30 you begin painting in a large journal. I am wondering what kind of paper you are painting on??? Many thanks and every blessing for this new year! Xx
@@nancydcurrystudio Hi Nancy! This is my ne of my heirloom journals. The paper is 100% cotton. I paint on the covers and sell them on my website. The large ones are sold out due to the holidays but will have more in stock soon.🩵
@ Thank you for letting me know! They are beautiful! And whilst I was on your website just now someone snagged your last available journal. Ah well…I’ll keep my eyes open for when next they are available! Many thanks and every blessing! Xx
Love your work. I asked you a question many weeks ago. You never answered. So I'll ask it again. When you paint on clothing, gowns etc. How do you clean and keep the clothing from ruining the colors. Pls.answer and explain. I only watch Utube.....Pamela 😊❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🎨🎨
@@Sunsoul888 Hi Pamela! I’m sorry I missed your question. I mix the paint with a product from DIY called Liquid Patina. This acts as a sealer for the paint. I also heat press the paint and add a clear coat of Scotch Guard for easy wipes with a cotton wet rag. The formal dresses haven’t been on a washer because they’re all dry clean only. ♥️ I hope that helps!
Hello I just found your channel!! I love love love your journal you have open at all times. Did you make that or get it somewhere?? I have subscribed because I love your style. Thank you💕💕
Thank you so much! I buy my Heirloom Journals wholesale and then paint the covers, then sell on my website. I sold out of the large ones before the holiday but have more coming. www.theturquoiseiris.com/product-category/journals/

Ohhh so many things I want to say and can’t and shouldn’t write it all here because ain’t nobody wanna read a paragraph in the comments 😂
But I’ll just say this: it was so lovely to see the wonderful things about you that I didn’t realize I missed…. Who you are but also your little movements and expressions 🥴🩷🩷😝
And since I know you know me so well, I don’t have to worry about this comment looking slightly…. Inappropriate? 🤣 #imawkward

23 years in corporate America , and oh how I craved a standing desk for years and years. Now in my old age, where no one cares to rehire me, even to answer a phone ( I made a the BIG mistake to take time off.) I work retail with college kids and oh how I want to sit down! The only time I sit is during lunch.
Life. Different strokes huh
I used to stand in retail allllll day, so I can definitely relate!!

This video seems like Stream of Consciousness rather than what the title says…
You know I've known you for ages. I ALWAYS feel you 'Go Hard' for others & genuinely want to see others succeed and find themselves. That's what makes you so special 🙌🏽🥰🫶🏽 I enjoy seeing you in this style/ life setting because it really gives us all ideas of how to juggle everything there is in life AND a true representation of how ones day goes. You have a lot of stories to tell and share and I would Look forward to seeing those expressions in your art/ vlogs. ❤🙌🏽🫶🏽🫂
Thank you my dear friend, Tosha!! ❤❤❤ Uts been a joy to be on this creative journey with you!!
