That whole Squib identification thing is fanon. Neville himself tells us in canon that his family didn’t know whether he was a Squib or not when he was pretty old for a toddler, hence why they put him into dangerous situations to test him. We can assume that the final nail in the coffin for any child that hasn’t yet performed magic by their 11th birthday is their Hogwarts letter never showing up. What a tragic reality check. Ergo, Harry would still be suspected of being a Wizard and the Dursleys would still treat him as such, though they would likely be less antagonistic without him doing accidental magic all the time. Since McGonagall didn’t catch that Harry lived in the Cupboard Under the Stairs from her first letter, we can assume she doesn’t read much into each letter. They likely wouldn’t have checked the Book before then to see if his name was in it. Ergo, McGonagall catches that Harry’s name isn’t on her list while she’s sending the letters. Who knows how Dumbledore would react? Still wish I saw more Squib Harry stories. Would actually be a nice dynamic to have the main character be the only one without magic in the series. Then again, even if Harry was a Squib, it’s possible that him using Parseltongue at the zoo would count as magic and would get his name written down in the Book. From there, everything would be the same, from the wand choosing Harry because of his connection to Voldemort, up until actual classes, where Harry would find that he can’t do anything.
Mr Roberts, the muggle at the quidditch world cup, describes the galleons as "hubcaps" when he's asking if the Weasley's are foreign, because someone else tried to pay him with "coins the size of hubcaps". I always assumed this to just be exaggeration from someone who doesn't recognize the big coins.
8:20 I have thought about this in the past, as doing anything to help Harry is out of character for the Dursley's, and my conclusion is that likely a teacher took note of Harry's poor eyesight and informed Vernon and Petunia. Their unwillingness to support Harry was trumped by their need to keep up appearances as responsible guardians for the teachers.
Also it's free in the UK for children to go to get their eyes tested. And you get a certain amount of money towards frames and their are always frames that can be "purchased" with that amount of money... so the Dursley's wouldn't have paid anything. And probably took him when they took Dudley
Darn that J-Lo, stealer of thunder! J-Lou forever. Cracking up imagining J saying the same words as Draco and then imagining Mr. Carlin with the long Lucius Malfoy locks, priceless.
Tbh, always felt like Voldemort would possibly have children to be his lieutenants for his immortal reign. You know, as sort of a way to get more competent and loyal servants than his spineless and arrogant Purebloods Death Eaters. Not only could he indoctrinate his children while they were small, but he could also tout his lineage as more important than others if his children did well. I also felt like the plot kinda did fit what with his horcruxes and how he made more after Harry vanquished him the first time. Why would he make another if he recognizes that they weren’t useful? Because none of his servants knew about them or what they were or even where they were, so how could any revive him if his actual body died? For a guy bent on immortality, it seems like an obvious flaw in the plan and, if it weren’t for Peter, canon Voldemort may never have gotten revived. His children could help with that. Not only would they be taught to love him and be extremely loyal, but he could trust them with such secrets because they wouldn’t have any other agendas or loyalties. Ergo, if Voldemort died, they’d be told where a Horcrux is and how to revive him. It would be the ultimate trump card for him to play, hence why he may choose someone like Bellatrix to carry his children, whom had a respected lineage above all others and whom was loyal to him above all. Delphini was a good idea. I’ll die on that hill. It’s just that, like everything else in the Cursed Child, she was executed horribly.
**waves furiously to Kangaroo Kat** - Love the Miles Managed shirts! - Absolutely adopting the headcanon of Regular and Seriously Black 😅 - Still waiting for y'all to start calling Emerald Phoenix "EP" for short (if that's okay with them 😁) - re: Bella & Baldy - while I agree he wouldn't necessarily want an heir/that would be pointless to him, I COULD see him wanting to establish a dynasty - a group of blood relatives that are revered as high-status because of their connection to him. It seems vain enough to suit Voldy. - I love the Luna theory! I add a bit to my personal headcanon - that her mother was successful in her experiment, so although she dies, Luna is cured. Just a reminder that you guys said that you would make a whole duck in cup montage video if you both aced it but also Willhemena (or however you spell it) is actually Grubbly-Planks first name, interesting that you thought of it.
I always thought that the hubcap sized coins (mentioned by the proprietor of the campsite the Weasleys stay at for the QWC, in case anyone is wondering) were a foreign wizarding coin. Also, the Wilhelmina that J wrote down for Sirius's mother is the first name of Grubbly-Plank. Also also, if Lita and Credence had brothers as ancestors 4 generations back, that would make them 4th cousins. "Removed" addresses generational gaps between the descendants; your cousin's children are your first cousins once removed, your cousin's grandchildren are twice removed, etc...
As the mother of a Wilhelmina thank you so much for giving her the validation that someone not only can pronounce it but that person loves Harry Potter too. 🥰😂
I only missed the Walburga one as well, Ben! And I remember that Trelaney's ancestress was named Cassandra because in Greek mythology, Cassandra was a famous Seer, but she was cursed so no one would ever believe her prophecies.
Not 100% sure, but I don't think Amelia Bones was in the Order. Her brother probably was, but i don't think she was specifically proven to be in it or not.
I’m super excited for this quiz! I think that some of this will be hard but most of it will be pretty easy. Of course there are lots of different exciting families in the series so who knows! 🤷♀️😂
I'd like to remind everyone that you guys do, in fact, has something planned if you both got 100% on a test. You stated that if you both aced a quiz that you'd do a whole duck In a cup video. Like a whole 10 or 15 minute long video of doing trick shots with ducks. It's been I think like 3 years since it was mentioned, but it was mentioned nonetheless.
24:57 “Once removed” is just a generation shift…your parent’s 1st cousin is your 1st cousin once removed (they would be the parent of your 2nd cousin).
You know if you actually think about it, Regulus is also a cousin to Sirius. Regulus is Sirius' mother's brother's son. And this is what happens when you marry your own cousin
7:05 Question 5 There are actually Multiple Correct answers to that question since Bellatrix is of course Delphis Mother but that would also make Sirius her cousin and Ron Weasley would also be related to her through his Fathers Mother. Technically as far as anyone knows Cedric is the only choice here that’s not actually related to Delphi
On the getting Harry glasses this could possibly be because teachers would notice that Harry couldn’t see and if nothing was done could reflect badly in them. Plus not sure if it was done in the 80’s but it is normal for P1’s (5-6 year old) to get there eyes checked as well as height and weight.
I found dual wield and crossguard was the best on grandmaster. Ironically i think dual wield is easily the best defensive stance even though it is rated the lowest. Between it having instant cancel for blocking and its heavy literally is a perfect block i find you can be essentially immortal. Crossguard i found really helpful for those high defense enemies/bosses because you can be very patient and only rely on a few high damage hit. Since on grandmaster if you mess up on one of those heavy targets just once or twice you die, the patience is key and crossguard fits that the best.
Amazing video you guys! Well done on the quizzes, but I must take note. That is one beautiful thumbnail! It caught my eye immediately on the "fyp!" Keep up all the great work as usual!
I was waiting for you guys to come up with the character who's name actually is Wilhelmina: Professor Grubbly- Plank. See OotP, when Hedwig is injured and Harry goes to look for her in the teacher's lounge but runs into McGonagall instead ☺️
Galleons as the size of Hubcaps, these aren't like we have in the US now, but maybe 2 or 3 inches at max, just covering the hub of that bolt. Basically think back to the old cars where they just attached with one bolt on the end of that rod, that size. Still rather large compared even to a silver dollar today, but not the foot or more wide things we have today.
I missed only one of those... And I am almost convinced that I only got half of those because I'm in the middle of rereading Lily's Boy, since the whole inheritance and families thing is such a big deal in there xD
27:12 Yeah here in Canada where I'm from our grading system is A LOT MORE GENEROUS then it is in the States. 0-50% is a fail (good thing too otherwise I would've flunked grade 9 math) 50-59 is D 60-69 is a C 70-79 is B and then 80 and above is a A with 90 and above being A+
7:29 As a DIE HARD Harry Potter fan, I must correct you that Delphi’s mother is Bellatrix who is cousins with Sirius. Making Sirius Delphi’s 2nd cousin, 1 time removed so they are related. Sirius also says himself that all Pure Blood families are related and that the Black family and the Weasley family have been tied together on the family tree in many ways. As Bellatrix is a Black and Delphi is Bellatrix’s daughter, she is related to Ron too. So the only one she is not related to is Cedric Diggory, whom she pretended to be cousins with but isn’t actually related.
OMG, I saw J's Wilhelmina answer and almost yelled at the screen "Stop talking about that video, Ben, you know J is going to remember it, it's like you don't want to win!"
While we're thinking about the Dursleys taking Harry to the eye doctor, let us also not forget that he was one year old when they got him. So they still had to feed him and change his diapers and all those other things you have to do to babies to keep them alive. Weird thought.

The bees niece was absolutely hilarious 😂
Happy to see a rare Ben win. Some say it's a lucky event, only occuring a few times each generation.
I think this is the first quiz I actually got everything right. Finally my area of expertise
Having obsessed over family trees, I only got a little tripped up on the Sacred 28 question, but got everything right anyway.
You guys should do J and Ben vs The Quizmasters. You guys work together and try to ace it
These are great guys! Love the trivia
I'm definitely the one Ben fan. I love that he almost always hosts the podcast while Jonathan almost always wins the trivia. It's perfect lol
Darn that J-Lo, stealer of thunder! J-Lou forever. Cracking up imagining J saying the same words as Draco and then imagining Mr. Carlin with the long Lucius Malfoy locks, priceless.
i must be so into the marauders fandom bc im confused as to why it took them so long to get walburgas name 😭
I always look forward tl these videos! Also watched the part where J dropped the iPad way too many times 😂
Technically question 5 would be A and C because since Bella is her mom, Sirius would be her cousin?
tecnicly correct. Also Ron though around a few more corners (yay incestues familie trees of the 28 ^^)
MORE BATH TIME WITH BEN it bet that'll be so wholesome
The galleons being the size of hubcaps was from goblet of fire. The muggle taking the money from Arthur for the camp site says something about it
@ta vh oh maybe! I thought he was just describing someone trying to give him galleons.
@@TiaMat99 i believe it was just exaggerated because they are so much bigger than muggle coins
**waves furiously to Kangaroo Kat**
- Love the Miles Managed shirts!
- Absolutely adopting the headcanon of Regular and Seriously Black 😅
- Still waiting for y'all to start calling Emerald Phoenix "EP" for short (if that's okay with them 😁)
- re: Bella & Baldy - while I agree he wouldn't necessarily want an heir/that would be pointless to him, I COULD see him wanting to establish a dynasty - a group of blood relatives that are revered as high-status because of their connection to him. It seems vain enough to suit Voldy.
- I love the Luna theory! I add a bit to my personal headcanon - that her mother was successful in her experiment, so although she dies, Luna is cured. Tragically no one will learn what the cure is because any records or evidence was destroyed in the accident. (PS - Lorcan & Lysander 😉)
- Absolutely *LOVING* Neville's What If!!! 🥰😍🤩
- GO BEN!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I think you should get a jellybean for the near-perfect score! 😅
This questions are so difficult. I’m so impressed by your knowledge
7:40 Matt Damon/Loki (from Dogma) would not be pleased with nobody saying "Bless you" when Kat sneezed lol
Hey hey! I just did! 😂
(I was scanning the comments and I wasn’t pleased either.) :)
Only missed the question on the sacred 28, well done quizmasters! I love these quizzes so much!
One day you guys should do a video called: EASIEST harry potter quiz EVER
Law Ninja is pretty epic with some of the questions he/she comes up with, i see their questions get chosen a lot :)
As a point of order, they both got the cursed child question wrong, because the answer is "doesn't exist, never happened".
this 😀
My day literally gets made when i refresh and there's a new J vs Ben
On the journey to the Secret Castle in this Scottish highlands! Let’s go team Super! #MilesManaged
The money the size of hubcaps is from the camping part of the world cup. Foreign wizards were there too.
Regulus is my absolute favorite character and he deserves more attention and love from the fandom
#PreachRegulus
Not 100% sure, but I don't think Amelia Bones was in the Order. Her brother probably was, but i don't think she was specifically proven to be in it or not.
I’m super excited for this quiz! I think that some of this will be hard but most of it will be pretty easy. Of course there are lots of different exciting families in the series so who knows! 🤷♀️😂
The carrying money thing... just put in a expanding bag like hermiones
Ben fam! With a Ben win! Such a great score today!
Can’t wait to see who wins ❤
Leta technically wasn't anybody's ancestor. Rodolphus was descended from a different branch of the family
No 'technically' about it. Leta IS no ones ancestor
I thought y’all said at one time that if y’all both aced a quiz y’all would do a big duck in a cup montage video
0-50% is a fail (good thing too otherwise I would've flunked grade 9 math) 50-59 is D 60-69 is a C 70-79 is B and then 80 and above is a A with 90 and above being A+
German for wolf is just Wolf, not Rolf by the way!
Ben Fam for the win!
I love this channel so much
jlo told her fellow world of dance judges the nickname dates back to 2001 so that means J should win
Highlight of my day!
IF YOU BOTH ACE THE QUIZ THEN YOU DO A DUCK IN A CUP COMPILATION VID
JLo adopted the nickname fornally for her album J LO January 23,2001.
Day 73 of asking the SuperCarlinBrothers to please bring back Google Auto Fill videos
While we're thinking about the Dursleys taking Harry to the eye doctor, let us also not forget that he was one year old when they got him. So they still had to feed him and change his diapers and all those other things you have to do to babies to keep them alive.
Weird thought.
