This mindset ruined a big part of my high school. I didn't do anything or go out ever because I had to "finish my homework first" but I didn't do my homework because I was in a poor mood all the time and procrastinating like crazy because I wasn't doing anything fun with my life. I finally changed this Junior year and started doing everything I could to live life first, and do the work when it made sense to. My grades went up and my happiness did too. The homework was so much easier to do in a good mood. The mentality that you have to 'earn' every drop of your happiness is a terrible curse, but it can be overcome.
We forget that the majority of our lives is spent repeating the same behaviours. Whether it's the warming of the kettle, the drive to work, the morning and evening routines. We get locked in and we forget the moment, forgetting that all we have is now. We get distracted, and the moment(s) slip out of our hands. Short films like this is what we need to remind us that life never waits, that every moment can be special, that life IS special. Alan Watts would be proud. Thanks for sharing, Riza. All the best.
Sometimes small think can make happiness. I remembered when i slow down my ego and enjoy about small thing like hearing song or reading funny novel called Nageki no Burei, he always get danger situation which can make he die, but he alive and and he say that "bad" situations are good story in the future. "Looking back, many things have happened since became a Hunter. When I first became a Hunter, I felt like I wasn't going to live through the hellish series of irregularities, and after I became a Clan Master, I had a lot of bad experiences, but now I can think of them as good memories." Cry Andrich
I used to live in that neighborhood! You captured that park so beautifully... it brought back memories of my own... things have changed there so much now. Love your content!
I completely agree with what you said. I recently came to the realization that it's not just about what you get, but how you enjoy the process. I am amazed by your storytelling. :)
Dear Riza, I wasn't having the best day and happened to stumble across your video by chance. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. From the way it is shot to the message it conveys. thank you for bringing this into the world.
The writing, music, and cinematography are all beautiful from thew few videos I've seen on your channel so far. Keep up the great work, love the narratives you share with the world.

I see videos and vlogs where people show how productive their day was or how fun their life is..which always made me feel like I am missing out on a lot.. but seeing your videos just make me feel so peaceful and happy and it’s the little things that matter.. it’s appreciating the daily simple life. Thank you for reminding it to me❤
Beautiful video ❤ Wow ! So well edited ! And the message is great, happiness is often found in little things in life. However often people can't see them. And to me it goes back to this core belief that we're worthy of love and belonging if we work super hard, achieve, etc. This hustle culture only adds to the mix. I think if we truly want to understand ourselves we have to learn where we learned all of this (usually it's our childhood). Where did we learn this "I am not enough" or that love is conditional. We really don't need a lot to be happy. But what we need is to really believe it and unlearn the toxic programming we've been running. We're worthy of love and belonging from the moment we're born. We're enough as we are. We don't need to chase happiness. We just have to realise that it's here, available right now.
I really love the way you make these life lessons more cinametic and the whole video is going like a motivational thing. Keep moving forward, We need a lot from you like this.
I’m so grateful to have found this channel. I’ve been at such a crossroads in my life and deciding what I want to do next and your videos have out so much into perspective for me and even inspired me to do my own thing. So from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for what you do
It's feels like heaven when we can enjoy every small things is our life. Like in your video, seems happy to enjoy the slow living. One of my goal now is can do the slow living, so that I can enjoy all the small things in my life, and just be grateful of everything ✨ Thank you the inspiring video 💕
Unless there’s a solar flare in the near future these videos will be here for you and your kids and that my friend. Is a beautiful thing. This is why I started a vlog once I got deported and you were a big inspiration
The best part about you is that u are quite brave .. u were brave enough to give up on your job to follow your dreams and passion...for all those who have not come across such a situation will never know what it actually feels like...it is tough, I know about the contrasting thoughts and feelings that we go through ...I am still going through that phase of my life where I wanna give up on what I am doing now and follow my passion...but unfortunately I am not that brave, the thought of going against my parents and leaving the highly secured life and job opportunity and step into a life of insecurities is just too much for me.... I dont know if I ever will be able to step up for myself
Your videos give me the same vibe as bestdressed Ashley. Completely different personality but talent wise in terms of cinematography, I love you both. Can't wait to see your journey here ❤
Another great video Riza, liked and recently subscribed. You are young, but very wise and I am really appreciating your small and simple truths (at 55 years old!) :-)
This video is beautiful, but I can definitely see your growth as a filmmaker, Riza. For example, the angles of some of your shots, you allowing yourself to speak directly to us, facing the camera, and your lighting… These are all improvements, though your videos were great to begin with.
you should make a youtube course, I would buy it, going into your filming , the layers for colours, etc. It would be really helpful, song / sound choices, your method for scripting.
Please lower the music volume in the bg so that we can hear your insightful thoughts clearly. Oftentimes the music is too loud. Just a small tip. Love your videos though. ❤
Hi, hope you all is well. Firstly thanks for your content. I am learning English from your video, and there is a small question regarding the use of "otherwise". What's the meaning of "in an otherwise very chaotic world"? thanks.❤
"There's a western mentality of when i get there, i'll be happy. When i finish all that work, i can relax. But the philosophy of small but certain happiness is about having that small break from our stress, so we can have a bit more balance to our days." I feel like that mentality is a misconception. When you get where? Done with highschool so you can relax and then be forced to go to a minimum wage job to live check by check to afford tuition for college? And then after you have enough for college, you're back to continuous expectations and ethical standards. Constantly being judged on your work and how well you studied and planned for it. And then after College, you get to relax again ? No. You have to sign up for a higher paying job and continue to follow suite with society's standards of the "American Dream" as they say. After you've accumulated enough vacation days from your high paying job, you have about a week. Maybe less. What are you gonna do with yourself with all the money you've accumulated from all the stress society threw at you? Go to different restaurants when you're hungry, probably a spa for a massage, and then go to the movie theaters near your area cause you can't travel too far with your money you only have about a week. Don't wanna add anymore stress of not being able to make it back. But you have a point. When you have no control over how society is ran and never win the lottery to become a millionaire, you need to have a certain balance in your life. The stress from education and working, and the breaks they give you in between to relax. The small breaks are impactful because you've been overworking yourself constantly. But can you really call it an even balance ?
Hi, l learn English from the video recently. I want to ask is it the CC subtitle of "The point is that these little daily thing..." is right? Please teach me the right subtitle if it is incorrect, thanks a lot.

I think something I've learned about "once I get the work done then I can relax" is that the work never stops.
So true~
