This becomes the saddest episode in the Operation Saga when you realize that Omega Orange are basically the "castaways" in terms of uses or legitimacy. Dialogue in this heavily points toward it too. For those uneducated Omega Orange is essentially an MTF unit that consists of either ex military vets that aren't that special in terms of service. Or literal criminals that are kept on a tight leash, not bad enough to become Class-D. But good enough to become Omega Orange. Omega Orange does nothing but be the first people to go and investigate new leads that serve little importance to the foundation. In summary they're the actual pawns to the foundation and it's actions. This is why they seem so casual in their initial investigation. It's mainly due to the fact most of their work is probably consisting of turning over rocks to find the ordinary dirt. It's only this time that what they stumbled upon was a legitimate threat and seeing them die from it makes it all the more sad when you realize at the end of it all. Not a single one of the outside parties besides their group actually gave a shit. While other people within the group were quite broken up over the deaths. They were basically sheep sent to die, those surviving crying out to the uncaring farmhand who will inevitably bring their death again. Its why I truly find this one to be a masterpiece, it's not horror. Nor is it much for action, it's just a genuinely sad story.
If you're still confused, the cave is "alive" like a living organism. The water is the stomach, the creatures are the immune system, and the lumps of materials they were mining was old "food" or nutrients that had "calcified" over time and turned to raw materials. The guy was mummified because he was in the "veins" of the creature and all his fluids were leeched out of him. This is an excellent SCP.

Competent, capable, believable; I knew a few combat arms troops in the Army, and this definitely captures the feel of a very competent bunch that's comfortable together and has done some shit. The intro alone was quite realistic to actual military operations; some banter, side-talk about food (soldiers ALWAYS want to try a good place to eat, and yes snacks are considered vital to have), good spacing in advancing on the target...I was a military intelligence analyst, you see, and if I had to ask for a squad to investigate something I found out, I would have definitely considered these guys to be a reliable, solid team to go check that stuff out.
Thanks a ton dude, I really tried my best to make it as realistic as possible, even if getting it 100% wasn't an option due to the limitations of GTA V's animations and engine. @@EvanRoyalty Brother, you made something absolutely astonishing; you captured the essence of what SPC Wiki has always wanted to be, combined real world nature and realism in a VERY difficult setting, you had an original set up, you had very clever bunch of competent and experienced guys. Frankly, them not clearing corners in a sense of 'hostile forces' makes some sense; why waste time conducting classic US Army clearing tactics against damn Anomalies? There is absolutely no telling if combat tactics beyond covering each other and sheer luck will save them, and they're going in blind on poor information. These guys had some very interesting backstories you hinted at; MTF recruited from prisons? Whaaaa? Yet it is realistic; soldiers sent to military prison are...pretty much screwed. It would make a lot of sense that they might yank them out of prisons, and it was a nice bit of characterization that made me smile. It also makes sense they'd choose troops with very broad bases of knowledge and a more relaxed style of operation for 'first contact', since ANY skill could be useful. Dude, the sheer ability and foresight you showed in making this movie continues to astonish me. It is, unquestionably, one of the finest works of original fiction and cinema I've ever had the delight of seeing. It was a sterling 'indie' example of how a SCP report would read, and frankly the Foundation is unworthy of such phenomenal work these days. Many, MANY compliments, and I WILL watch with much anticipation for further projects from you. :D
@@EvanRoyalty honestly you can go on youtube and look at a bunch of different military and veteran run accounts to learn tactics. Basics are guys never go alone unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, always watching every sector. When taking down a building you always take it from the top down if possible, cross corners when clearing a room. Look at Vickers, Spikes, and Viking tactical. You can straight up just look up room clearing. Also a thing called flash bulbing where you fish the light several times on and off when looking into dark areas to try and confuse and daze the target so they cant get a read on your location. Also don't go full auto if possible and if you do, short controlled bursts.
Dialogue is usually what can go wrong the fastest in these sorts of projects but you have a very good writing hand! It sounds very natural. Edit, I finished watching and the sound design is great. I work as a sound engineer/sound designer for movies and video games and I love that job. This is a great example of what you can do to enhance an atmosphere and serve the story

I love it! It's refreshing to see some SCP content where an MTF isn't utterly incompetent or stocked by red shirts. The voice acting was top notch, and although it was a little too dark at times, the animation, rigging, and visuals were excellent. My only real complaint is the animation during some of the POV shots on the head cams; you don't need to have twitchy heads all the times. Yes, having the camera still isn't realistic and dampers the mood. At the same time, moving too much is just... distracting. No one is that twitchy. It's expected after a job's been pulled off as adrenaline is burning off and tensions are high, but before? Not really. Still, it's an excellent video. I've wanted to see a full mission go down for quite some time, especially one that doesn't involve a major SCP. This is some reall good stuff.
I didn't have much control over the animations. This was made using GTA V, so I worked with what was given. The smoothest walking animations were 'Business_3' and 'Policeman' but when you're running or going up a hill, shit goes pretty wild and there's not much to be done other than cut to a security camera. Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless. :)
I personally liked the fact that the different characters never really shared animations though, some walked shakey and others smoothly, one even in between. The way this was recorded and acted out actually fooled me to think it was nothing but a full animation not relying on any game, but then realizing the fact GTA V was used for this amazes me even more. The effort put into this is greatly unfathomable and I wouldn't know where to begin on the coordination needed for certain shots like the "antibodies" eating the two MTF, both in single and the group shots. Overall a damn good movie and the CGI like the VHS were great too. (I also found the secret VHS transition hilarious too.)
I'm extremely impressed with the quality of these videos. The production (in 2019?) but also the acting, writing, and the blue easter egg screen. I loved all of this.
A-Fucking-Mazing. Didn't think GTA V could prove to be such a fantastic way to tell a SCP story. Thank you so much for making this, and giving me the spooky vibes before Halloween!
This is hands down one of the best things I’ve seen created in GTA, incredible stuff. I normally find these types of things made in gta to be quite cheesy or meh, but this one had me hooked start to finish, everything was great.
Hollywood is more concerned with making political propaganda than they are producing good storytelling anymore. The movie houses said that without saying it explicitly a couple of years ago. This should be a surprise to absolutely nobody, and the tech level of consumer electronics has reached the point that literally anyone can make a feature-length film of equal or better quality for a small fraction of a Hollywood budget, using people who genuinely care about their role. Welcome to the future of filmmaking.

I always found it sad that there won't likely be any SCP movies or tv shows due to it being in creatives commons. There might be similar things, like in Cabin in the Woods, but it's not SCP. But thankfully we have people like you to fill in the gap. Thank you for making this, and I really hope you make more. Now, I'm going to start the download for this so I can save it to my phone.
It's not totally impossible, though. I'm approaching a subject that I'm somewhat ill-informed on so correct me anywhere I slip up. If I write a script, there are elements that CAN be copyrighted, for instance, I do have ownership over the story and any characters not borrowed from the website. I also own the script itself, it's sort of like Sherlock Holmes. It's based on a character that nobody owns, but it can still be sold and distributed. If none of that holds any water though, there is another route, and that's crowd-funding. A kickstarter or gofundme film could be achieved if there was enough community support for it, that way there's no net-deficit if it reaches its funding goal. After production, if my previous argument holds true, it could easily be sold and distributed across streaming platforms. Basically removing a lot of hoops you'd normally need to jump through when making movies.
Man maybe I'm just tired but like, this videos such a vibe like everyone's so calm, until the end and that guy getting bit everyone's just chillin', it's great.

Very well done, clean writing and direction, and avoids the "everyone is stupid and dies" narrative of a lot of horror movies. Technical questions (1) Why is it these teams never run a wire down the hole to guarantee communications? That has been standard procedure in the modern military since WWII. (2) Building a base under that mountain required a massive construction project involving two years work with heavy machinery. Where is the surface construction scar that would have left? The military would have had some other project to serve as a cover story. (3) This is an underground facility, but it has wide hallways, big offices, immense open lab spaces that would be generous in a suburban medical center. (4) How was the facility constructed without triggering the entity? An animal knows when you're doing surgery on its bowels.
Guesses: 1. SCP has a lot of advanced technology, provided by other SCPs they find and funding from UN most likely 2. The cover story was probably still present, but just not mentioned. Probably the more interesting theory around the construction I have is that the cave simply morphed itself to look like that. If it’s an organism, it eats. What does it eat? 3. I dunno tbh. Unorthodox lab is probably to add ambience and unease. Long hallways are a common technique for horror. Builds dread. Familiar and yet wrong. 4. Back to #2, theoretically the cave may have just morphed itself to look like a lab. There’s also the chance that the organism was originally dead or in a state of unconsciousness. Maybe building a power system and activate it, in a way, resuscitated or woke up the creature. The ambiguity of this vid is surprisingly dope
10/10. The writing, dialogue, and production are all on point. And considering you somehow pulled this off in GTA V, major bonus points. I'm anxiously awaiting another one
@@TheOnePackMan No... It's not supposed to be found VHS footage. It's supposed to be and was filmed to be deliberately recorded by the body cams of the MTF guys, which wasn't lost to be found footage, and it was transferred onto VHS as another SCP is fucking with other means of storage.
+Ironman 5000 That's because found-footage can be VERY hit or miss, even though I have a passionate love for the genre altogether. Movies like the last two "Paranormal Activity" sequels, "Devil's Due", "The Pyramid", "Unfriended: Dark Web", and the 2016 sequel to "The Blair Witch Project", don't work because they lack a lot of the things that the aforementioned movies possess.

Doctor Sirus also when part of a tactical team your body is trained to not twitch literally at all...

Well I am currently trying to programm a mod for Rimworld (a base building top down view strategy game) to allow players to build an actual SCP site.

Guesses:
1. SCP has a lot of advanced technology, provided by other SCPs they find and funding from UN most likely
