That is a genius solution. I've been thinking about building a flatbed out of a cabover truck and never would have thought to just slap an old trailer on the back and be done with it. 🤯
Enjoyed the videos. Looks like you tow a bit. Would you maybe have advice for what to use to haul off a 30ft rv? especially ones with a tag axle. I'm buying a 2 ton truck but don't know if I should spring for a medium duty stinger, sling, or boom. or just get a 30ft trailer...
Alot depends on your budget, needs, and skills. I personally am not great with trailers, so I prefer trucks that can do the job without the hassle or frustrations of a trailer. I would get a medium duty wrecker with a boom and winches to haul a rv. If money were not an issue, I'd get an under lift, they tend to run more $. But once you get into a medium duty you have insurance costs, registration costs, and worrying about weight stations and DOT. So a pickup and 30-40 ft trailer seems easier in some aspects. Get a trailer with a low deck hight if you plan to tow alot of RVs so your not going over the height limit.
Life happens. I still do all my own projects, film, and edit myself. Some videos take longer than others. Appreciate you watching and commenting regularly.
I actually had ALOT of interest and a few offers within a day of posting it for sale. Pretty sure it is a recipe I will repeat again in the future some day. Appreciate the comment.
Now you have altered the body it’s no longer a box truck it will need dot inspection and registration inspection.. I’m thinking.. thinking it would also effect insurance as it’s a modified vehicle 🚗
I might be a couple years late but I'm here for it.
That truck was one of my favorite builds so far. Might not be fancy or look great but was a functional beast.

Love it, good work. Shame it’s leaving
Ya I was a bit sad, like letting my baby go. But have to be financially ready when the next deal pops up. Can't afford to keep them all.
@@worthshop won’t argue that point, plus your next one will be just as good or better!!
