Looks good! Maybe put a pair of fold-down bunks in it for extended riding outings? Ride all day, fold the bunks down and kick your heels up at night? Then when you're ready to head home, fold the bunks up, pull the wheelers in, and hit the highway.
Thank you so much! It was really dirty when we got it. I repaired any roof issues (very minor) and replaced most of the exterior hardware, rebuilt the man door & latch completely. Lots of family oriented hours of work have gone into it. Thanks for watching!
@@GrenadeMotorsports That thing looked like heap, you really fixed it up nice so far. I've been wondering if I could just widen the side entrance of an older MH similar to yours, there seems to be no one that has done that. Doors are only about 26'' when counting the inside frame, I need 33'' for my dirt bike, that's all I need , a wide door, lol. Doing what you did is my next thought.
@@GrenadeMotorsports Thanks for the encouragement. I might start with finding a fairly current, RV Park type of trailer that might have a 42'' +- handicap size door and frame, and go from there. shrugs.... I don't think I could do a good job starting from scratch, making my own door.
PS: at $100/night for accommodation (it is obviously more) for 100 nights (3 months) = $10,000 ! That is a healthy project budget for a rig we paid $800 CDN.
No plans. Step 1: cut hole. Step 2: build metal frame & trailer door springs based on what you're loading. Step 3: 3/4 plywood the whole thing. Step 4: Trim, rubber seal and FRP covering, caulk & paint. DONE! Best of luck & thanks for watching!
Research this type of project right now...looking to get a class C and cut a hole for a rear door/ramp into the bedroom area to convert to a Class C toy hauler!
Oh yeah, it was completed & used several times last year. There's a few still shots of it at various locations in some of the opening sequences of our other videos. It turned out fantastic. Thanks for watching!
I just bought a 27 foot 1998 Ford E350 motorhome with 80,000 miles on the 7.3 idi diesel automatic. 2,000 miles ago it had a full mechanical passed inspection. The exterior and interior look terrible. The PROJECT: Build a sleeper cabin with a queen bed AND a space to haul our 2022 Kona. Hopefully we can travel for three summer months exploring North America. We can park the rig and satellite areas with the fuel efficient compact car.
This thing was finished a year ago and now lives a happy life halfway across the country. Interest was low and timelines were tight, so it never got a final episode. It turned out amazingly well as you can imagine. Thanks for watching!

That's the plan!
That’s a clean rig, good find

Oh yes, it's 100% completed and has been used all over the region. It's fantastic! Thanks for watching!
Is it finished yet?
