      Succulent Living by Marija Hi Marija(: In my very humble collection of 12 med. pots , I have various compositions of Kalanchoe” Hildebranti”, Graptoveria Opelina, Echeverias: Doris Taylor , Neon Breakers, and Miranda ; 1 Small golden edged Agave, Crassula Radicans, a few sedums: Salsa, Coppertone, and another w/ green leaves that are bronze edged. I have an elephant bush in a hanging basket w/ echeverias , a large specimen of an unusual plant with large silvery leaves shaped like oak leaves. I especially like the silvery echeverias. The plant that spiked my interest in succulents however is one trailing bright green specimen ( I lost the name) that is a profuse grower. It has long slender branches that look like a cactus ( fleshy like agave) but it likes partial shade and lots of water! What a paradox it is!
      It took me 2 years to get it right, but they love me now(:

    Hi marija :) first time commenting hehehe. The purple one @ 5:25 is a graptoveria (sometimes also mistakenly called echeveria) "Cupid" or "lilac/lavender spoon". Its a cross between graptoveria debbie and echeveria ruyonii "topsy turvy", which is where the unique leaf shape came from. Hope this helps!

    When you put a hormone and plant the soil dry or wet? Because they say that the cut should be dried and put in dry soil until roots come out. Love your videos.

    • @succulentlivingbymarija8872
      @succulentlivingbymarija8872  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don’t have rooting hormone than it has to callous or dry and go to dry soil but with rooting hormone it’s actually recommended to place it in damp soil which has a little bit of moisture. אידית יחיא

    Which light is your perfect raindrops under ? My raindrops look awful. I have them under pink lights . They just look kinda etiolated in the stem area . And the rosette grew in so small as it replaced its leaves . It’s a bummer cuz it was gorgeous when I got it . Thanks for your videos . I could listen to your beautiful accent all day 😊

      @succulentlivingbymarija8872  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jennifer 😊, higrow has been great for my echeveria raindrops as well as spider farmer. They do get little smaller in diameter but I never had problem with Etiolation. Which pink lights do you have?

    • @littlebeebs1
      @littlebeebs1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@succulentlivingbymarija8872 , Thank you for the reply. I have the Barrina Pink lights from Amazon. They do wonders for most of my succulents color wise . But Echeveria Linguas , raindrops, heart delight ...bumpy species just don’t do as well under them . It may be that I use too rocky of a soil . I’ll have to invest in a Higrow . Because I got a similar light and it’s made my Fred Ives get more pink . And it’s made my akinoshimo get more pink too . The only problem with that style for me is that they must be hung higher above the plants or it dries them out . My plants are all on wire shelving. So the only shelves that’ll give enough room for them to hang is the very tops . Might switch one of my T5 lights out for a Higrow . I have noticed each species prefers different lights . It’s interesting isn’t it ? I’m gonna try the Higrow as a Christmas gift to myself 😊. And repot into some more organic soil . I think that might help . You’ve sold me on the Higrow 😊

    • @littlebeebs1
      @littlebeebs1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @littlebeebs1
      @littlebeebs1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@succulentlivingbymarija8872 , Spider farmer could probably fit under lower shelves too cuz it’s so thin . As long as it’s not so close as to burn them. 😊

    • @succulentlivingbymarija8872
      @succulentlivingbymarija8872  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@littlebeebs1 you are so right about drying up under lights, as well as plants needing different lights. I have been struggling with a lot of dry leaves with pink lights. Like you said the solution is either hang then higher or run less hours.
