I'm facing the most difficult time placing the proper succulents with each other, sadly I've lost quite a few... For instance, I've only recently learned that aloe don't appreciate full sun, neither do haworthias. Can you do a tutorial on grouping? I've looked everywhere and I cannot find a single tutorial on grouping - fairy gardens are the closest I've come, my thinking is that's they're placed where they look pretty, I just clicked the link? THERE IT WAS! Thank you so much

A friend of mine gave me a big pot of what i think is a cactus, and had been calling it a cactus all the time but then after a while it could be a succulent, it’s similar to echeveria but the leaves are thinner and the edge is sharper. It has grown some babies in between the leaves and some of the babies have grown long. 😊 I wanted to put a picture but I guess i can’t, there’s no attachments for pictures.

Quick question do the agaves stay small if u put them in a small pot and will it maintain the size if its grown to the max because I don't have a huge space to plant them on the ground or a big pot?
When confined to a small container, their growth is slowed down because they are not given room to spread out and grow. They also stay on the small side when kept in a tight environment. If you want your plants to stay small, minimize watering to a bare minimum; or only spritz or spray to prevent the plants from drying out. This should slow down the growth of the plants. :)
I would think I had an ID and then the next step sent me back to the other species! Mine has long, leggy trunks (aeonium), It seems the leaves point up (echevera), no tiny hairs on leaves (echevera), it probably has thicker leaves (echevera), under magnification I see little spikes on the leaf edges (tiny) I read somewhere else that means it's echevera. This is an old colony growing outdoors, so long leggy stems might be from old age??? Such fun!
Or it could be an Echeveria hybrid like Graptopetalum or Graptoveria. The options are endless ^^ Here we can only cover the most basic type of identification ^^
Great video. I just bought a small succulent from the grocery store and can not figure out what it is. It doesn't look like anything in the video. Surely companies know what they are growing, why don't they put a name on the pot other than "mini succulent". I hoped it wasn't poached.
